"Let's say it straight away, Beaune is very touristy and restaurant prices are generally too high. At the big blue, fish specialties, the menu is reasonably priced (24), the service is fast, the terrace is pleasant, rather away from the noise and traffic. Well presented and good dishes (ray wing, sea bream fillet). Slightly tight quantities (the gazpacho, the bottom of a plate, a few tablespoons). All in all, a satisfying experience. 2 menus, drinks and coffees, count around €35 per person"

"We stopped in Beaune for 2 nights when heading from the north of France to the south. I researched a few Michelin rated restaurants but almost all of them were closed on Mondays. My partner had spotted lamb chops at a cafe in the old town but I insisted we come here. It has a 34 euro lunch menu which just seems a shame to not try given the restaurant has one Michelin star. Oh my goodness- everything was sublime. The menu is set, no choices but luck would have it lamb was for main. There was a green gazpacho which zinged with flavour, foie gras with a seafood broth, (the best foie gras dish I have had ever anywhere in the world) and tender tasty lamb for main. There were amuse bouche- my favourite the mustard and tomato mini ice cream cone- or the Parmesan shell filled with truffle liquid. Amazing. The service was excellent. The wine was expensive- however no more expensive than any other restaurant on Beaune. I would drive 9 hours to go back there from our holiday house further south!"

"Petit soirée sympa en perspective de planifié. Resto réservé pour 20:30. Bien mal nous en a pris d'être en retard !! La serveur avait déjà refilé notre table de 6 à 20:50 en prétextant un retard de + de 30 minutes...En plus la façon de nous envoyer balader je ne vous dis pas ! Même le routier du coin respecte plus le client que cette serveuse. Bref nous nous somme rabattu sur un autre restaurant un peu plus loin qui lui avait une serveuse très courtoise. À déconseiller donc, les plats sont peut être bons mais les serveurs (en tout cas celle là) fort désagréables.De toute façon le resto très exiguë et les clients étaient les uns sur les autres. Je regrette de ne pas avoir fait de photos..."

"I’m afraid my experience of this restaurant was not so good. We had read good reports about it before we went but sadly we were disappointed. For starters we had “Feuilleté d’escargots à la fondue de poireaux.” The snails were OK, all 2 of them but the leeks were tasteless and under seasoned. For main we had “Faux filet sauce Epoisses, pommes darphin et haricots verts”. The steak was cooked beautifully [rare, just the way I like it] and tasted brilliant BUT, it was VERY chewy, not what I had expected. The potatoes were nice and the haricots were perfection. Desert was more disappointing. We had Crème brulée à la prunelle. I didn’t taste any apples and the brulee tasted like chilled, over set ‘Birds’ custard. Both my husband and I were ill the next day. Now, I’m not saying it was this meal that made us ill, as we had ate other things the previous day; but I just thought it was worth a mention."

"Waar zal ik beginnen. Bij aankomst valt op dat dit geen verzorgde zaak is. Gordijnen scheef en kapot, vuile ramen. Binnen is het niet veel beter. Ongezellig groot, glazen niet proper, tl-lampen scheef in de armatuur. Als we niet gereserveerd hadden waren we waarschijnlijk niet binnen gegaan...Het vervolg laat zich raden. Vanwege de signalen vooraf maar op safe gespeeld en een pizza genomen deze wordt tenslotte goed doorbakken (deductie voedselveiligheid!).Pizza's hadden weinig smaak, met een overvloed aan olie (vettig) waardoor de bodem wak werd. Niet echt een succes, één van de mindere pizza's ooit gegeten. Zou de uitbater dit weten? Ik vrees van wel.Wij zouden nooit dit restaurant aanraden, laat staan herbezoeken."

"Tres belle maison provinciale et sérieuse. Décor élégant, service efficace, discret mais présent quand et comme il faut. Très belle carte des vins. Bon, si on veut boire un peu de Bourgogne, normal ici, l addition peut s’envoler assez vite mais la responsabilité n'incombe en rien au restaurant qui applique des coefficients très raisonnables...mais seulement au fait que les prix des bourgognes sont devenus un peu hors sol. :"

"Emplacement parfait, jolie terrasse face à Notre Dame et au calme. Carte alléchante... Mais malheureusement à cette adresse tout est compliqué ! En terrasse uniquement la possibilité de commander la carte des tapas, pas celle du dîner. "Ah bon vous voulez dîner?"... Mais pas de place à l'intérieur : "asseyez vous dehors, on vous tient au courant".20 minutes passent, on attend tjr, on demande la carte des vins. Très belle sélection mais les prix sont délirants. "Vous auriez une sélection de vins au verre ?"... "Euh oui, je me renseigne".Et bien on attend toujours :-("

"De passage dans cette ville et à la recherche d'un restaurant ,j'ai choisi ce restaurant La formule menu à 24 €uro avec une entrée chaude "œufs en meurette pas trop mal , et des joues de bœuf façon bourguignon ,ça par contre c'était pas trop mon truc , et une petite assiette de fromage .Pour la qualité des plats ce n'est pas mal ,par contre je trouve un peu cher cette formule à 24€ qui se trouve dans un panier moyen plutôt haut .Nous sommes dans la région de grands vins ,et là aussi ,c'est quasi hors de prix ,même au verre ."

"Positive, open late, center of town. Decent food, good portion size. Wines reasonably priced.Negative: the business of a restaurant is hospitality. They have none, but the old fashioned Gallic charm & haughtyness that in the past gave the French a weak reputation. They expect just one time customers anyway, why be hospitable?I came away feeling disappoint, and having ordered less food and wine than I would have, or did on previous evenings in Beaune. The customer deserves much better an can find it in this great city. (I'll put in more detail later on, perhaps)"

"Bissoh was the highlight of our trip. This small restaurant serves fantastic food, all freshly prepared, with incredibly fresh fish and mind-blowing Tonkatsu. The owners are very friendly, and the wine list features the best producers in Burgundy. We wanted to book a table for the next night, but unfortunately, they were closed. We absolutely loved this place!"

"Overall positive review! Correct price-quality. Chouette Pierrade and at will accompanied by potatoes and various sauces. Beautiful meats. We even added duck which was a nice touch (we weren't a fan but it's a matter of taste). Once inside, we find ourselves in a chalet with wood everywhere, it's a really nice setting... The welcome is good, the service too. Maybe for a little something extra, add some peppers, onions, mushrooms to accompany the pierrade and some background music for ambiance? Thank you and see you soon to discover the rest of the menu!"

"A step on the beautiful. We spent a night in that kyriad. without telling us that this establishment was in motel configuration. the rooms are a little veterinary, a room under the slope, poorly isolated, a superb view in the morning, on the vines of the esthene, the heat cut in the night what damage by the negative temperatures this season. reception is smiling and positive at reception. breakfast disappointment, 8:30 am, already nothing on the buffet, unfortunately more small pancakes, no pancakes, more small sausages, you have to run after the waitress to have scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, not coming, by answering us, I have not yet been delivered, I have nothing to serve you. What a disappointment! We stay on a mixed notice, we hesitate to come back next time, but with nice smiles at the reception, it’s still a little above all morning at breakfast. Take your step."

"Do Beaune przyjechaliśmy późno,wszystkie dobre restauracje z gwiazdką M. zarezerwowane.Dzis niedziela-3/4 restauracji zamkniętych....juz straciliśmy nadzieję na dobrą kolacje, tym bardziej, że w tym miasteczku jesteśmy 6 raz...i niespodzianka! Przepyszna dorada z nutką pesto na delikatnych paseczkach papryki /dodam,że nie jadam papryki/, ale to było tak odkrywcze doznanie, że dzielę się nim natychmiast.Jagniecina również niesamowita...całości dopełniło białe dobre wino , a na koniec cudowny deser krem brulee. Cudownie,spokojnie, fantastyczny kelner-francuz który doradza też..po polsku.Bardzo mily i pomocny.Dziekujemy.Napewno tu wrócimy!"

"simply mediocre service. servers really not nice to see hives. ratio quality simple mediocre price (large distribution terrine, industrial tomatoes as it is the season), no choice in desserts and cheeses. water in warm pichetes see almost hot, the server tells us that we need to buy fresh water (3,80€ still for 50cl) . I don't talk to you about the gustative quality of the dishes presented that doesn't even deserve a comment. the setting is aging is really not welcoming (although more than servers.) it looks more like a bad canteen than a restaurant, servers more interested in the performance of their service than by the customer's satisfaction that seems to be important only at the time of the regulation. True tourist catch, our stay in this so pretty city ends on a note more than mediocre, pass your way, pass away from this establishment.( Positive point; our end of Calvary and our return to the hotel)"

"Great food, fresh and tasteful for a fair price. Genuine Asian taste. People are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. We stayed in the nearby Ibis hotel and accidentally ended up in this nice place. We felt very welcome and appreciated as a guest, which was not the case at the nearby Italian restaurant that pointed us to their pizza machine outside because they were full . Highly recommended!"

"Bonjour,Nous avions réservé une table au bar à vin, la le serveur/patron ne nous prête aucune attention, je retourne le voir il daigne venir prendre commande, nous verse du vin a coté du verre ne s'excuse pas ne nous conseille pas ne nous demande pas si nous avons faim......je retourne le voir voir s'il est possible de manger....sa réponse: les parisiens me font rire ils se croient en vacance ici c'est pas Paris il est 21H15 vous ne trouverez plus rien à cette heure ci...... 20m plus loin une tres bonne entecote m'attendais à 22H.....bref le pire resto de ma vie, un simple non dsl aurait suffit, 37 euros 2 verres de vin et une tranche de foie gras c'est super cher chez ce..... bref à oublier fuir s'enfuir et ne pas se retourner..."

"Bon repas mais accueil très désagréable du patron. Nous étions avec notre petit garçon d'un an et on nous a demandé de protéger la nappe au cas où il la salirait avec ses mains... Ma femme à demander à chauffer le biberon "pas trop chaud juste 20 secondes"; le patron là fait chauffer à fond pendant près d'une minute. Avec un petit qui a faim c'est très agréable de devoir trouver une solution pour ne pas le faire crier de faim le temps que son pot refroidisse... L'entreprise semble en difficulté car il n'y a même plus de poisson dans l'aquarium. Pas de quoi l'entretenir ?"

"Ce resto est chouette car on arrrive droit dans le centre de commandes. Le chef est en effet aux commandes, au téléphone, à l'accueil, au grill ... et au moulin. Mais .... nous avons assisté à une remise à l'ordre (en ordre) du personnel de service (féminin) puis au chef de cuisine (masculin). Tout ça entre l'accueil de 2 clients. Les critiques suivent les unes après les autres. La tension dans le service était ensuite palpable pendant toute la soirée ! Dommage que le chef ne fasse pas plus confiance en son personnel et surtout qu'il ne fasse pas ses "briefing" avant l'ouverture. Cela permettrait aux clients de profiter d'une bonne soirée avec de très bons plats. La nourriture est en effet excellente."

"we visited this Buffalo Grill after the hotel we had booked into could not cater for us in their own restaurant. We have eaten in another BG a while ago so weren't exactly flying blind.around 2030 hours, there was a queue at the door but a very short wait.we were given a table and menus brought. we explained to the waitress (in pigeon French and written note) regarding my wifes Coeliac problem.we were brought a separate guide to the menu listing ALL allergens dated 16 September 2016, and the waitress spent the time to guide us thru it all.Great meal, was just all we needed and all we were looking for, very comfortable.Excellent Service.we were enthralled at just how busy and efficient all the waiting staff were, they handled the load with great skill, and a friendly smile.Next time we come back up this road we will eat here.Many Thanks all there."
