"We stopped in Beaune for 2 nights when heading from the north of France to the south. I researched a few Michelin rated restaurants but almost all of them were closed on Mondays. My partner had spotted lamb chops at a cafe in the old town but I insisted we come here. It has a 34 euro lunch menu which just seems a shame to not try given the restaurant has one Michelin star. Oh my goodness- everything was sublime. The menu is set, no choices but luck would have it lamb was for main. There was a green gazpacho which zinged with flavour, foie gras with a seafood broth, (the best foie gras dish I have had ever anywhere in the world) and tender tasty lamb for main. There were amuse bouche- my favourite the mustard and tomato mini ice cream cone- or the Parmesan shell filled with truffle liquid. Amazing. The service was excellent. The wine was expensive- however no more expensive than any other restaurant on Beaune. I would drive 9 hours to go back there from our holiday house further south!"

Nicely welcomed, great culinary experience as well. Server a little hesitant about the explanation of the plates. Pâté en croûte recommended of course, exceptional cheese choice.

Restaurant, reception and impeccable atmosphere in this lovely restaurant. With special mention for the refined humour of the server. Thanks to the whole team for a nice evening.

Beautiful plates, all with the same accompaniment. I don't understand the need to serve iced wine. Too bad for such good bottles. We expected better at the atmosphere and service for a Michelin star restaurant. View menu

The foie gras was delicious and really well presented. The lobster was also surprisingly good, as well as the dessert. Leaving satisfied. Come ready for a not-typical French cuisine which, frankly, makes it better (Italian and American opinion).

we were with 4 adults, our child and dog for dinner. the service was very nice, friendly and attentive. the recommended were very good and tasty, all came at the same time and the vegetarian menue was very good. the wee was optimally tempered and fresh warm broth was often added. the hors d’oeuvre was a taste bomb. the next stay in beaune we will only eat there. absolutely top.

menu tasting and wines were a nice surprise. The Japanese leader has a lot of talent. Inventive cuisine quality products and the famous crust paste is a tuerie. to taste at all costs. only false note was the service to the cool or very familiar in any case unworthy of the chef's kitchen. a server that says high and strong not to love wine so unable to advise anything. The skit was becoming comic... it's still a bang! What a shame. View menu

We had dinner at Benaton late November 2023. This restaurant is located near the centre of Beaune and closes the Fallot duck. The service is in small care, the staff is smiling and attentive. We enjoyed the advice of the oenologist on the wine map (natural wine at ideal temperature, i.e. close to 10° for Burgundy red, carafé with care). The kitchen was delicious while being light. The star is widely deserved. The only noticeable negative point on the interior room is noise, a small acoustic layout would be ideal. We'll be back.

during our stage in beaune we were delighted to discover this restaurant whose michelin guide praises. We were absolutely not disappointed and we will return next year. the frame is very soothing with the beautiful shaded terrace and the garden in length that follows it. We were served with great kindness and know how to do by two young hotel owners. my husband great amateur of good wines enjoyed the very eclectic card. the dishes were delicious and we loved this Franco-Oriental blend with refined perfumes and at the same time of the terroir. splendid evening especially after a long stage by car and a thousand thanks to this chef and his team who have the taste to dare.

"Our 5th stay in Beaune and we were recommended this restaurant by the Gite owners.Lovely and Cosy. Has a small private tabled area at the back for small groups/couples but the real experience is up at the counter where you can watch the chef(s) in action. Entertaining and educating. Watch them prepare, cook and present your meal.SERVICEAttentive. Greeted, seated and provided a menu very quickly. Waitress maintained an eye on our wine and water glasses and made sure we were looked after. She was eager to explain all aspects for the set menu and wines.FOODGreat experience watching the chef’s from the 1st instance where they select and prepare ingredients for each dish. Developing the sauces, selecting the condiments and assembling the dishes with care and experience. The lunch was a delight. The dishes were well presented, superbly cooked and a joy to eat.WINEWine by the glass was excellent. We tried 3 different types of the white from dry to sweet. Reasonably priced and enjoyable. My only other observation was that the chef (who I believe is also the owner) often spent time staring into space while waiting for food to complete its cooking ritual and seemed quite distant. I had the feeling he had other things weighing on his mind. Would have been great to have a chat with him to add to the lunch experience. I hope whatever he was thinking about doesn’t stop him from continuing to run La Superb as they serve up a real culinary treat."
