"Hello again people, You are in for a treat. This is a pub that I visit on a regular basis simply because it’s one of the best in Camden, the atmosphere is eclectic and traditional all at the same time. It’s full of amazing photographs on the walls, being a photographer makes me love it even more. it’s worth a visit just to see the photos, there is a roof terrace and outside space at the back. If you are lucky enough you can get a seat at the front. Guys this place is amazing it’s a must visit if you go to Camden if you leave without going here then you haven’t really seen and felt camden. One of the reasons why I say this is because this was one of Camden’s most famous residents local pub. Amy Winouse was known to frequent this pub and you will see references of her all over the place. It’s not only famous for her but people like Kate Moss Kirsten Dunst and Kelly Osbourne have hung out here and me of course . This place was almost destroyed by fire back in 2008 but managed to survive with help from locals and the famous alike to rebuild and relaunch this historic pub. Other celebrities like Mark Ronson, Razorlight and Noel Fielding. have found themselves in this incredible place. Today I just had a soft drink because I was working. The kitchen is normally my highlight because the food served was amazing. At the moment of writing this the kitchen is out of comission so I can’t do a write up on the food. The bar is well stocked and any drink you want you will find in the Hawley Arms. This place is beautifully located just by Camden Bridge you know the one that’s in every picture ever taken by every tourist that visits camden. When you visit ask for the Rickstasy ', apparently it was Amy Winehouse’s favourite drink it consists of “vodka, banana liqueur, Southern Comfort and Baileys. I have no idea how much it cost but let me know if you ordered it and tell me how it was. I love the staff in this place they are ultra cool and very “Camden” the manager is Nando is is a fantastic guy super cool Italian. The place is filled as I mentioned with photos from the ground floor downstairs towards the toilets with photos of the late great Bob Marley and signed football shirts. You will love this place. The photos I took on this visit don’t really capture the feel but gives you a good idea of where you are going. Before or after your visit to the market this is the place to unwind or prepare. Oh by the way when you go make sure you go around the back there’s a amazing piece of wall are you have to see. Let me know if you get a chance to see it. On February 9, 2008 a roaring fire swept through Camden, North London, causing serious damage to the famous Camden Market and another haunt that was famous for different reasons. Celebrities including Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst and Kelly Osbourne had also been spotted there. Yet on that fateful night, it too caught flames and there were questions as to whether the legendary venue would ever see the light of day again. The Hawley Arms was the late singer Amy Winehouse 's local pub and had also been frequented by the likes of Mark Ronson, Razorlight and Noel Fielding. After a lot of fundraising to support the cause, Ruth announced that, against all odds, the boozer was salvageable. It officially reopened on Halloween in 2008, with a flurry of live gigs to welcome it back to life. Thankfully, the pub lives on and customers can raise a glass to the singer, whose favourite tipple was the 'Rickstasy ', which consists of vodka, banana liqueur, Southern Comfort and Baileys.

"Went for the Sunday Jazz Feast bottomless brunch. We don’t drink so we enquired about non alcoholic options. Was pleasantly surprised that they offered a just bottomless food option where we could order drinks separately. Felt like this was a good start, but that was probably the only good surprise we experienced. We were quite disappointed that there were no oysters despite all the PR and reviews saying unlimited oysters. All over IG and Tik Tok it’s reviews about oysters, so that was disappointing. Felt that there were not a huge amount of options for seafood and starters/salads. The roasts looked good but found the meat was seasoned very heavily with salt. The gravy/jus was very watery. Must say the carver was very friendly though! Most of the other hot food (sausages with mash, chicken, risotto) were cold and looked unappetising due to looking dry and congealed. I understand it’s difficult on a buffet to keep things looking fresh but the temperature of the hot food was just too cold. Also not sure why they felt the need to slice the sausages in half? Dessert selection was also very limited and the cheese selection placed on the same table which had a very overwhelming smell. Definitely put me off, I didn’t eat any desserts. Service wise I noticed the tables around us were getting a good level of service, having their bottomless drinks topped up regularly. Maybe it was because we were just ordering our drinks separately and were not consuming alcohol I felt like we didn’t get the same attentive service. Waiters were having conversations with other guests and tables and we barely got a sideways glance. Took ages for us to get someone’s attention to order more drinks, get a top up of water etc. I was tempted to try to ask if I could order oysters but couldn’t get the attention of a waiter so just gave up. Even asking for the bill took longer than needed. Being busy we wanted to free up our table promptly for them. On our departure we barely got a thank you for paying nor a goodbye. Overall feel a bit underwhelmed and slightly cheated that one of the star attractions of this brunch buffet was oysters that weren’t even there. But the contrast in service to other tables and us was what really made this a sour experience. Although vastly more expensive, will probably stick to The Ned or even something like Nobu Shoreditch bottomless brunch."

"Ciao Bella was an interesting experience. I was giving my all too wary East Londoner friend a tour of Bloomsbury to give her reasons to come back for more. Living a street off Russell Square means that Marchmont Street (with all its incredible restaurants and pubs was around the corner, but we were intimidated by the buzz around the area and decided to explore food options a little further away. A casual walk by mid evening light found us opposite Ciao Bella. There 's no denying its charm: candlelight and a low outdoor sunroof, tables closely placed to one another and a sense of intimacy that was immediately inviting. It was very romantic and seemed like the perfect place for a lengthy catchup and a decent meal to go with it, since Italian was on our agenda. That being said, the moment we walked in, we met a stiff, tight-lipped manager who handed us the menus and then took them away a moment later without any explanation. We were puzzled and were seated by someone entirely else, but our guards were already up. Essentially, the staff are exactly as described in the review below: a mixture of sheer loveliness and abrupt rudeness depending on who is serving you. We were quite excited for the food which was served reasonably fast (it took them longer to take the actual order , but my dish was a little too heavy on the flavouring and difficult to finish. My friend 's dish was excellent though: generous quantities and just the right amounts of everything. Basically, I think Ciao Bella has a sweetness to it that is disarming, but takes the risk of being a hit or miss depending on the day, time, hour, person. Good atmosphere though. :"
