"as the owner has changed, the quality of food and services has fallen. After we arrived, the manager and the female server disappeared and the customers remained at the entrance for 5 minutes. we ordered chicken cashew nuts and huh with go. both were. very salty and when I asked the manager to replace it, it was added only with some hot water and the server just threw it on the table without apology. while waiting for the replacement, reis was cold, so I asked the server to change the rice, but she didn't seem to understand well English. So we had to call the manager. it took one because to replace it, and again it was simply left on the table without word. my friend refused to pay the service fee, and the manager got abrupt, but brought us a new bill that was higher than the original. he went away and returned twice with another false bill. we miss the previous taste of siam with great food and services. we are not going back."

Absolutely stunnin authentic Thai food in a restaurant staffed entirely by Thai people. The laab and som tam is the best I've had in London. Highly recommended it.

Very bad and rude service. They keep charging for staying over 2 hours and don't let you take with you food that left on your plate unless you pay extra for it. Isn't it supposed to be thrown away at the end?

the first time I visited the taste of siam it would have been 2009-2010. I always come back because it was always a positive experience. service is fast, personal is attentive and eating is fantastic to these very cheap trips keep it on xx

possibly the rudest restaurant I have ever visited with the badly seductive waiting staff. eating was at best average. the only plus was that the service was so bad, it was quite funny; but I would not recommend the restaurant or the food, unless they are desperate. the nagel in the sarg was the 25% tip that the servier staff itself gave on the bill. avoid them!

They have been our favourite local restaurant for a very long time. The cooking is reliable and I have never had any bad dish. We really love their authentic Thai flavour and taste. They use very fresh high-quality ingredients and everything tastes divine. We particularly...love their Chicken Stir-fried with Cashew Nuts, Prawns Stir-fried with Mange Tout, Fish Cakes and Pad Thai. Jasmine Rice is cooked to perfection. They now have very polite, friendly servers who make our visit more enjoyable. The prices are very reasonable, what are you waiting for?

avoid them! worse service and ever eat! still today a chance and what a mistake! this restaurant works without management and the workers unrest shows it! an aggressive atmospheric waitress took our job, which I was able to let go at that time. When my food came, I decided to give it back. I spoke to the friendly, looking waitress and what a mistake. she started to pull her face and fight with me. When I asked to order something else, she muttered the menu on the counter. So I returned to my table and was ignored for the next 40 minutes, while my friends finished their meal and I sat with only one drink in front of me, not eating. I...read more

Camden has so many great eateries (from restaurants to kiosks) that the highlight of each trip of mine there is food On one such sojourn, I went to the Taste of Siam. It's a tiny place, which may feel cramped on weekends, but cheerful and very cafe-ish Recommended: Prawn and pork dumpling for starters, Pad Thai for mains (you'd love it) and Thai Iced Tea (I had to double the order of this one, it was so refreshing and tasty Overall food is flavorsome and portions are good Price We paid 20 among 2 with beverages They also have an option of cooking your own hot-pot (recommended if you have 2 or more people with you) for only 12.50 per head. Sounds good to me, I shall try it...read more

Not often am I motivated to write a review, less a negative one, but my experience of Taste of Siam has been so poor that I have to leave comment. To summarise the food is mediocre at best and the service non existent, but I think that neither of these things are the priority at Taste of Siam. What you have here is the only Thai restaurant at the Mornington Crescent end of Camden and therefore the only possible choice for someone looking to eat Thai at that end of Camden. This is the 1970's school canteen of Thai food. We ordered some starters, soups, main dishes and rice, vegetables. When I asked for the soups and a starters first the waitress became confused and in the end just...read more

It had been a while since my friend and I had been out for Thai food and we were kind of missing it. So we took it for a sign when we were supposed to go out for Greek food and the restaurant could not take us as they were fully booked for a private party. Taste of Siam has three parts: one is the supermarket, second is the restaurant and the third is the noodle bar cafe. We were pleased that we chose the lovely restaurant. It seemed like a nicer setting than the informal cafe. The food is cooked fresh and the quality of ingredients is high. As my friend pointed out, we should have expected this, seen as Taste of Siam’s shop next door has good produce. It felt like a cold day and...read more
