"The social club is a charming restaurant located just off High Street in Lancaster. The staff is very friendly and the brunch selection is amazing, resembling something out of a gourmet food magazine. My girlfriend and I had a delicious brunch with great coffee and a variety of milk options. I ordered the loaded French toast, but the other options, including my girlfriend's, looked equally as tasty. The flavors were fantastic and the presentation was top-notch. The atmosphere was good and the decor was fabulous. Overall, a great dining experience for brunch at a price range of £10-20 per person."

"Delicious Food Every Time!. I 've been going here since they opened and have never been disappointed! Great, friendly, little hole in the wall place. Used to be a best kept secret but it 's now it 's always bustling during peak hours. The taco selections are terrific. My faves are the tilapia chorizo. Love their table sauces fresh guacamole. Great homemade real food not junk food flavor to everything. I am stunned at some of the negative reviews I 'm wondering if it isn 't some kind of mistake? Is this the same restaurant we 're talking about on Prince St. in Lancaster, PA? Weird! Oh, well. I highly recommend them."

"This is my mother in laws favourite Chinese takeaway, which is why I bought meals for six there on Sunday evening. The girl that answered the phone was very friendly, and the service at the counter was very good, but I'm afraid the food is not up to much. The Szechuan beef was unlike any other Szechuan beef I have had anywhere else, and not in a particularly good way. The sweet and sour chicken my wife had was equally disappointing. The other dishes were okay, according to the rest of the family, but I won't be in a rush to return."

"Our first time at The Greaves Park in Lancaster, on our arrival we were greeted by 2 young lady members of staff Kirsty and Courtney. They were very friendly and helpful. Both were professional in their interaction with my wife and I through out our stay. The choice of food on the menus was great and excellently cooked and presented. I would recommend The Greaves Park to anyone, the surroundings, furnishings and staff are top notch, cozy, warm and friendly. We will be back soon, I think it's an ideal place to bring family and friends for good food at decent prices in a really nice comfortable environment and to be served by courteous staff. Thank you Kirsty and Courtney."

"Came for some lunch with my family, the customer service when ordering at the bar was professional friendly. Despite the pub being busy food was on the table within 20 minutes, i asked the waitress for tomato sauce as there was non on the condiment stand, she had to borrow some sauce from the table behind me : as she stated the sauces are all around on tables. When the table behind me food came out the customer asked a different waitress for mustard to be told have you not gone to check by the stairs the waitress walked away. I appreciate the restaurant was busy the staff was working to their capabilities but customers should not have to go hunting for sauces :"

"I have been a loyal customer, ordering from Mama Mia, both on FoodHub and in-person. For my last order, I ordered a 9 Pepperoni pizza, a sizzler burger, and some chips (with tomato sauce). I DID NOT RECIEVE THIS ORDER. Instead, they delivered a Garlic bread, one chips (with no sauce) one chips with tomato sauce. I called the restaurant, and it was the owner that answered 'apparently ', and he had 'apparently ' 'made ' my order. He was definitely lying! He acted all confused. Despite saying what I ordered, and what had actually turned up, about 50 times, he was having none of it. What an unreliable service? Also, the funny thing is, that this INCORRECT order arrived in about 30 minutes, which is basically 1 hour faster than it would normally take, because their delivery times are long! Very long!"

"Stayed one night with 8 course taster menu. Room reasonable (room2)Food disappointing and lacking taste with the bao and prawn toastie. Too long an interval between tasters. Small details let it down. Water glasses on table too big to pick up with one hand. Bar a disaster. Limited stock.Freezing cold lounge bar. No heating or fire on. Requested heating be put on 3 times but to no avail. Guests sitting in bar post taster with blankets on them to keep warm. Staff friendly and obliging (except for putting heat on) Quality of food at breakfast disappointing. Felt like everything was portion control . 1slice of toast each. One coffee. No condiments on table. Felt as if hotel was in economy drive. Sadly wouldn't recommend to family and friend's."

"Visited today at lunchtime. Very few people in the restaurant. Ordered Lamb shank and a steak/venison Pie. Both came served with carrot, parsnip, a sprig of tender stem broccoli, mash and gravy The only really positive thing was that the plate was hot. The pie pastry was dry and hard. The contents were fairly meagre in portion size and nothing special. The lamb shank was very average and typical of those you can buy in a bag. The vegetables were quite hard and didn’t seem freshly cooked. My worst criticism is of the mashed potato which was stodgy, quite hard and dry. Even gravy couldn’t salvage it. I only ever usually review if extremely pleased or dissatisfied. At approx £17 per meal I had hoped for a much higher quality of food. After complaining about the potato I received a refund of the price of my one pint of beer £4.20) . Had I not been starving I probably would have rejected the whole pie meal. The setting of this restaurant is very nice and The Stork has long been regarded as a good place to visit for a meal but you simply cannot charge the prices you do and not deliver good quality food. Reputations only last so long and I won’t be returning at this rate."

"We visited the Fenwick for Christmas lunch. We were greeted on arrival, offered drinks, and after a very short wait shown to our table. The restaurant was completely full. The table was nicely laid and certainly clean. We had preordered from a choice of 4 starters, mains and puds. For starters, I had the lobster cocktail and the others in our party had the wild boar and venison pate. The lobster cocktail was absolutely loaded with lobster which was clearly freshly cooked and shucked. The pate was homemade and delicious and was served with caramelised onion and roasted plums. For mains we all ate the turkey and trimmings. The turkey had been rolled with the dark meat on the inside and pancetta on the outside. It was served with a ham hock terrine, stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pud and vegetables. Delicious. The puddings were very good especially the panna cotta and coffee was offered afterwards. We do visit the Fenwick regularly for a Sunday roast because the quality of the meat is always top notch. If I have any criticism it is that the restaurant decoration and table decoration was quite understated. The staff were warm, friendly and professional as always."

"I just wasn’t satisfied with the Hotel itself. No spoon to stir my tea/coffee with (in the room) No initial towels (even though I asked for extra and they replied promptly) It’s a decent place once you arrive and looks nice but I ended up finding someone else’s underwear in my room. Had to call front desk for towels Shower head was taped down (was leaking from the sides). Very boring room, unappealing but the view was probably the best. The bed felt nice. Granted they are under renovation but you’d think they would take extra care of those staying there. Not just some £10 voucher. The worst is the keys. Hated opening my own hotel room because you have to Jimmy it a few times. Don’t like the big hall pass attachment to the key either. Doesn’t fit in pockets or anything I look forward to the new improvements and will not be staying unless I stay in a new bedroom."

"I have just been in there 7 June 2024 and had the best Indian meal that I've had for years. Great food, good service, very welcoming staff and all for a very reasonable price. The only downside is that they're not licensed but you can take your own drink. When I'm next in Morecambe it will be a definite call."

"We arrived at a good time and saw a window view table which we asked to sit at. The lady at the entrance said we couldn’t sit there yet as it wasn’t ready . We said we didn’t mind but she said ‘ oh no you can’t possibly sit down until it’s ready ‘ Ok, but we’d been standing a while and needed a rest . Once seated the view was excellent for us. We ordered a tea cake ,a piece of cake and two coffees . The coffees were small for a medium, and the cake was soggy underneath . I asked for more butter. After 5 mins it still hadn’t arrived so I went to get some myself .later the waitress passed by so I grabbed her to tell her I’d got some. There was no apology of ‘ Sorry I forgot’ but she dismissed the wait with a ‘ We have to write it down so I had to wait until the girl was free’ ! Write it down I thought ! Yes because they charge extra for the butter !!! Each butter provided didn’t even cover half a tea cake. There were no smiles from any of the staff. It was all so hurried to get the next customer in. So in summary too pricey for a mediocre experience. Safe to say we won’t be going again ."

"There's a long menu with plenty of veggie and now also vegan fayre. The chef is also very obliging and ready to make an effort and conjure something up, so do try and speak with him if you don't get anywhere with the bar staff. They have vegan cheese, which isn't clear on the menu, so the pizzas are also an option. It's one of the few places where asking if the wine or beer is vegan is taken as normal! Indeed they now serve their own vegan ale, brewed by the Borough, and a vegan house white and red wine. Updated from previous review on 2015-02-08"

"Lovely cafe serving great food in a lovely ambiance. The chips are genuinely home made (from actual potatoes on the premises and the view across cambe Bay to the Lake District fells are superb (play name that fell' while you're having lunch). The lovely...lady who served us did assure us that, on occasions, the tide does actually come in too. As an infrequent visitor to cambe I'll have to take her word for it because I've never seen it in Suggest you book ahead and ask for a window seat for the best views."

"Excellent lunch with my daughter. Only waited about 5 minutes for a table. The staff are so friendly and remember you from previous visits. We both ate from the specials menu: I had the homemade flat bread pizza gorgeous base with pulled lamb, red onions , feta cheese and a gorgeous drizzle of sweet chilli mint snd yoghurt dressing. My daughter had homemade hot dog with crispy fried onions mozzarella fries with ketchup snd mustard. She said it was delicious. The owner asked us how we liked them and told us how to make the pizza base. Always worth a visit even if you sometimes have to queue."

"I first started eating here around September, and every order has gotten better and better. The new owners are doing amazing, and do really make the best pizza in lancaster (the best pizza I’ve ever had from anywhere arguably! . You can get even better pizzas than big brands like dominoes for half the price, and I really will not order from anywhere else again Their new pastas are a lovely addition to an already loved menu. I’ve previously had the carbonara while dining in and it was irresistible. Here’s tonight’s delivery! If you haven’t tried it already, do it!"

"We originally planned to eat at a different location, but they were without a chef at the time, so we were directed to the Fleece Inn. I must say, thank you for the recommendation. This old-fashioned pub restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with beams and an open fire, and offered a limited menu. I ordered the chicken breast with orzo, spinach, and feta, and it was a delightful combination with a moist chicken breast. It was absolutely delicious. My partner opted for the steak and ale pie, which was also very good, although he would have preferred the vegetables to be cooked a bit more. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. Despite being a bit out of the way, I would definitely suggest visiting this restaurant."

"Great little very busy rustic cafe. Very popular with walkers and local visitors to Silverdale. Excellent home made cakes, scones and some hot dishes. Excellent sausage and bacon ciabatta rolls. We have been coming to The Wolf House for years, Ed and his staff work very hard to present good food in what are very difficult times for the hospitality industry. Nothing will be cheap with the costs rising as they are and difficulty getting staff. Great outside areas with children’s play area for sunnier days. Very dog friendly which is a bonus in this area. Keep going we need good quality places to go instead of fast food chains."

"ORDERED A TAKEAWAY LAST SATURDAY 9TH MARCH, ON WEBSITE IT SAID THEY ACCEPTED CREDIT CARDS WHEN I ARRIVED IT WAS CASH ONLY. THE STARTER SPARE RIBS WERE OK AS WAS THE BOILED RICE, BUT ON THE CANTONESE DUCK THE FAT WAS REALLY SOFT, ON THE SPECIAL CHOW MEIN THE NOODLES AND VEGETABLES WERE OVERCOOKED, THE TEXTURE OF THE BEEF AND CHICKEN WAS QUITE STRANGE AND RUBBERY, IT WENT IN THE BIN. NOT IMPRESSED."

"Visited the train station because of the film connection. Didn't realise the cafe did food. Had the brief encouter breakfast. It was delicious. I asked for no mushrooms or beans. The waiter asked what would I like in it's place, I asked for an extra rasher of bacon I got two and a extra sausage with no extra cost. There was plenty of selection for breakfasts, and the counter had various cakes which looked delicious. I will defiantly go back again."
