"The staff at this restaurant is lovely. They offer a wide variety of vegan options, including 5 starters, 8 pasta dishes, and a build-your-own pizza section (with bäckkäse available). I started with the bruschetta, which was delicious, and then enjoyed the lentil and mushroom spaghetti. I was comfortably full after 2 courses. There were 2 vegan dessert options - Sicilian lemon cheesecake and a heavenly sorbet - although I didn't try them. The staff were very accommodating and it was no surprise that I enjoyed my meal here."

"Heard a lot of good things about this pub, so as booking is advised we did ,easy to do and email confirmation. On arrival we were given the reserved table and ordered at bar. The meals arrived in good time and were reasonable quality and quantity for the cost of them. There is a pleasant choice of meals available with many offers for different days. The staff are pleasant and efficient but the actual pub seemed dark and in need of referbishment. Outside a considerable amount of the car parking area was taken up with electric car charging stations and tables and no disabled parking spaces could be found , a necessity for us. I know that this is a very popular pub and busy but sorry Dog and Partridge but something put us off returning, nothing to complain about sadly just one of those things."

"Just moved to the area so was looking forward to having a meal from this Indian restaurant which was not far from our home. The service was great with a door to door service from the actual staff and the process was easy via ordering online. It wasn’t the cheapest so hoped the quality would be of good standard. I even joked with the kind person when he delivered the food and mentioned we were looking forward to the meal as it was only literally 1-2 mins walk away and would be great if we enjoyed it. Unfortunately the meal was the worst Indian meal we’ve ever had. The starter was of little and poor quality especially for the cost, both the main meals for both my partner and I was of extremely poor standard and to put thing even worse, even the mint sauce which we had with the popadoms was awful (how that can happen or be terribly made, we had no idea… tasted like sour milk with mint . We didn’t get in touch with the restaurant as we thought that if every item was of this standard, we’d really wouldn’t want a replacement with another poor quality meal. We will unfortunately seek elsewhere and hopefully find another Indian when the time arises with a much better quality of food. Shame as mentioned above, this restaurant is only 1-2 mins walk from us."

"Christmas meal on Christmas day. For a family of four to be placed on a small round table was an absolute joke to start with. After we complained, we were asked to move onto a different table. The starters were brought in quick time, which was a delight to see. We waited for the starter plates to be cleared away. The main meals came with over cooked parsnips, bearly able to cut through. There was no taste in the Brussel sprouts, probably frozen. The plates were overflowing with cabbage and gravey, and the turkey was processed off a roll. I was asked how I liked my stake when I made the booking medium to well. The steak was nearly walking off the plate. I sent it back to be cooked more. It came back and was very nice although a little fatty. The Christmas pudding and the sticky toffee pudding were very nice. My wife's cheese board was an absolute joke by any means. Two pieces of cheese and two pieces of what looked like malt loaf. The waitress didn't even know what it was. So it was sent back as it didn't have any crackers to accompany the cheese. It was returned as an upgraded cheese board with cheese crackers and celery with a small pot of pickle. When paying the remainder of our bill, we were asked if everything was OK. We explained that it was not, and we were all disappointed. The Owner/Manager mouthed something to a customer at the bar before going into the kitchen. That was not very professional from you. Instead of airing your views with someone else, maybe air your concerns with the people making a complaint. When paying £60 a head, you expect to be treated with respect. I gave a one because that was the lowest I could give. It's not a place we shall be visiting again in a hurry."

"This is a 'proper ' pub in every respect. Only called in for half an hour after a long walk but still very welcoming, honest and down to earth. I had the best pint of Wainwright 's I 've had in a long time. We had two bowls of chips and a pot of tea and really enjoyed the whole visit. No blaring music, no idiot tell me to enjoy and reminiscent of what a good pub should be. Hope to visit again for a bit longer perhaps."

"A lovely traditional old pub ... the team depended on the boss-lady behind the bar, who was pulled in all directions. The small dining-room has a low ceiling and medieval small windows. The menu is supported by the Specials Board, from which I ordered Morecombe Bay brown shrimps and Cumberland sausage in a batter pudding. The shrimps were nice, but there wasn’t many of them. So to the sausage; tasty but it seemed like half a portion. Prices are very reasonable, but I'd have rather paid more for bigger portions. All in all a nice place for a meal, if you're in the area."

"Went to Morecambe on a bracing day, it's fair to say. The wind was whipping up off the sea at a fairly brisk pace. Sideways. The wind chill was down to a level that Sir Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes might have thought twice about venturing out in. It was rough. A lone Labrador dashed into the sea chasing something or other and looked backed to his owner, shaking his head. The owner was shaking his head, not the dog. No human was venturing into the brine that day, not one that wanted to live anyway. Something was needed to warm the cockles, so to speak. And off we jolly well popped to The Eric Bartholomew for a warm. Two traditional breakfasts were ordered and our penchant for poached eggs rather than fried was accepted without a quibble. A good job really, I didn't have my quibble with me. The desperately needed coffee was quickly quaffed to get some much needed heat into the system... The breakfasts arrived in good time and were really rather good. Toast was toasted, bacon was cooked and all in all we had no complaints at all. A second coffee washed down the meal and it was time to brace the arctic air that was still howling across the bay. It was an awful day, really rather grim, the apocalypse on the west coast. The end of the world indeed, but on a full stomach."

"First of all, 1 young lady working to bar and running food since we came in until about 6ish. Food was ordered at 5.45, received starters at 6. Then got mains about 45 minutes for mains which isn't too bad considering 1 woman working in the kitchen herself and kitchen closing at 6.30. Plates from the starters weren't cleared before receiving our mains. Ribeye was asked to be well done, came basically rare. Obviously sent back which was fine, the server was helpful and apologetic. To then receive the steak back from the chef herself with her greys on and no sign of a chefs jacket nor hair net, slammed on the table and left. Even though she has to be called back to recook the steak before as she literally made our food and walked out finishing. The whole place is clearly under staffed and do not care about there clientele. Glasses were disgusting too. No cleanliness at all and we certainly won't be back. You're paying more than you should these days for good food and service and this is what you get given. Its my wife's birthday today and this is what she was given. Yes it was her steak. So you can imagine the downer this has placed on our evening."

"My new regular Chinese takeaway. This place is great. When I try a new Chinese I go for sweet and sour. Simple. If they cant get that right I won't go back. So first time I got special sweet and sour, rice, noodles and won tons. First of all the portions are huge. Big tubs of main dish with lots of meat and the only one I know of that gives you three king prawns in a special instead of two. The sauce was rich and very tasty. Plenty of meat. The rice was as you'd expect. The won tons were nice and you got about 15 too!! So I went again and tried the special in honey chilli sauce Wontons and salt and pepper chips. The chips were not for me. Chippy chips should not be used for this dish in my opinion and these actually had vinegar on them too. But the honey and chilli was very very nice. Just the right amount of spice for me which is not too spicy. Wontons were great and 13 this time. Also they sent a bag of spring rolls for free which was nice. I'd highly recommend this place. I'll be going again"

"I 'm rating Shahi 4* based on the customer service being better than the food. I got a great deal on my order I got the Special Offer 'Deal 3 ' which is 2 x Curries, 1 Pilau rice, 2 x poppadum with chutney, 1 naan, chips 2 cans of coke for £14 which is amazing and great value! We ordered a korma which I get often, unfortunately there was an ingredient in this dish which was so over powering I just couldn 't eat it. I also ordered the onion bahji starter which comes as a large, gooey, again overpowering ball. The food was good quality however, I won 't be ordering from here. I do want to mention the customer service we got, the delivery driver was very nice and they even put a smiley face on the box to tell us what is what which brightened up our night... unfortunately that was the best thing about this takeaway."

"I was walking around the area and happened to come across this restaurant, which looked very appealing from the outside. The staff was very attentive and the food tasted authentic. The only small letdown was that the curry was made with chicken legs, whereas most Asian restaurants I've been to in the past use breast meat. I know that the thigh has more flavor, but for the price, I would have expected breast meat. Overall, the dining experience was pleasant and I would go back. The vegetable spring rolls were delicious and the massaman curry was equally good."

"We haven 't been here for a while. We really enjoyed our food in the past and this time also nice. Mains arrived hot and came quickly served by a lovely server who asked if we needed anything else and he checked we enjoyed our food. It was very busy I noticed a quiz night so maybe will try lunch time next time. I was impressed I could get a nice vegan pasta and some puddings could be adapted too. If anything to improve for us would be orders from the table than going to the bar which is a hassle for pudding when your all settled after eating the mains! On this occasion puddings took ages to arrive. Also our initial greeting was rather curt by a woman wearing a fleece over her uniform, so we thought she was a customer so did not really know she was part of the team . Saying only 'yes ' perhaps 'would you like a table '? I would certainly go again next time a vegan pizza as pizzas looked so nice."

"Ordered a pizza this evening and for some reason there was an issue so it took over an hour an a half. However they were very apologetic and sent some free stuff to make up for it. And it was a fantastic pizza when it arrived. Usually they are much faster, but on this occasion something went bad, and they showed excellent customer service to fix it. Recommended."

"Visited today at lunchtime. Very few people in the restaurant. Ordered Lamb shank and a steak/venison Pie. Both came served with carrot, parsnip, a sprig of tender stem broccoli, mash and gravy The only really positive thing was that the plate was hot. The pie pastry was dry and hard. The contents were fairly meagre in portion size and nothing special. The lamb shank was very average and typical of those you can buy in a bag. The vegetables were quite hard and didn’t seem freshly cooked. My worst criticism is of the mashed potato which was stodgy, quite hard and dry. Even gravy couldn’t salvage it. I only ever usually review if extremely pleased or dissatisfied. At approx £17 per meal I had hoped for a much higher quality of food. After complaining about the potato I received a refund of the price of my one pint of beer £4.20) . Had I not been starving I probably would have rejected the whole pie meal. The setting of this restaurant is very nice and The Stork has long been regarded as a good place to visit for a meal but you simply cannot charge the prices you do and not deliver good quality food. Reputations only last so long and I won’t be returning at this rate."

"I have just been in there 7 June 2024 and had the best Indian meal that I've had for years. Great food, good service, very welcoming staff and all for a very reasonable price. The only downside is that they're not licensed but you can take your own drink. When I'm next in Morecambe it will be a definite call."

"when we were at the ibis hotel next door, we visited this wetherspoon pub every day at our last break in this beautiful city. this is a great looking wetherspoon pub, over two flat, typical wetherspoon decor and offers a cool looking serving bar...and many seating options distributed in this pub both inside and outside on their terrace, everything in all its big pub to relax. all our visits were super, we enjoyed genuine ales, continental beers, tonic whiskey all served by very happy coworkers we also enjoyed some great meals here breakfast to start the day free, curry meals and delicious burger options, all in all we could not find anything about our visits over the four days we find in lancaster to this great wether. Opening times are: Monday to Thursday, midday to midnight. Friday Saturday, midday to 1 o'clock. Sunday, midday to midnight. a wonderful wetherspoon pub, which is definitely worth checking whether they are in the opposite or plan to visit lancaster."

"This campsite is fantastic! Even though the ground was wet and challenging, the place exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm smile, which I always appreciate. The site warden was very pleasant and accommodating. The hot showers were a nice touch, and the view of Morecambe Bay was lovely. Overall, it was a hassle-free and enjoyable camping experience. We didn't visit the cafe this time, but we will definitely try it next time. Simple and enjoyable camping experience!"

"I made a reservation here for my husband's 50th birthday. The food was delicious, flavorful, and fresh. The only drawback was the overpowering smell of fried food as soon as you entered the restaurant. I'm not sure if this is a regular issue or if the ventilation system wasn't functioning properly, but it was a bit off-putting."

"this was a 20-minute drive for us to the time, but definitiv it worth. food grades, awards and cleanliness certificates all visible on the wall, which is beautiful to see. all the foods tasted beautiful and fresh. we had draughts, vegrolls and fantastic seatang for starters. zitrone huhn, chicken curry and fried rice were just as good. can wait to order again!"
