Very disappointing, Food to be fair was more than acceptable, and the staff very polite, But as for customer service, needs a lot of tweaking!

Nice quirky restaurant close to sea front. Food was good and reasonably priced. We were not told it didn’t have license to serve alcohol when booking in, but local supermarket close by.

I have been coming to this restraunt when I have been craving Indian food and I have to say it never disappoints. The food is delicious and the waiters are friendly. I would highly recommend to other people. View menu

DO NOT EAT OR ORDER FOOD FROM HERE. Appalling customer service and very run of the mill food lacking in any real authenticity. Always late when delivering and seemingly not bothered about this. There are far better indian takeaways and restaurants in the area. Go to them instead.

Tried this place after football. As travelling fans, we usually put our faith in Trip Advisor recommended curry houses. This one didn’t let us down on any front. Friendly welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, attentive service, everything we needed right from the start was perfect. Didn’t know it was a BYO as the reviews I read during the match whilst planning didn’t mention that. But it wasn’t an issue. Food was brilliant. Very highly recommended

We had made a reservation for our table in advance, but we ended up waiting for 40 minutes before our order was taken. We had to repeatedly ask about our poppadoms and starters, which didn't arrive until an hour and a half later. By the time we finished our starters, two hours had passed and we decided to cancel our main meals. Despite there being plenty of front of house staff, there was a lack of communication among them and many take-away orders were being prioritized. Saffron has been a firm favourite of mine for over a decade but something has gone very wrong in the experience they're providing. We (party of 4) had a 90 minute wait for food no indication of this kind of wait time was given at the beginning, and we weren't just walk ins, we'd booked in advance. The food wasn't up to the usual standard either the flavour blend in my main (sag bhaji) was off, and the onion bhajis were under cooked (several were essentially raw batter inside). The service seemed confused, inattentive and passive. Again, not what I'm used to at Saffron.

This review is for the delivery service of Saffron, not the restaurant itself. We placed an order at 5:30pm for a 7:30pm delivery time. By 8pm, our order still had not arrived, so we called to inquire about it. We were informed that our order had not even been cooked yet. After expressing our disappointment, the restaurant canceled our order without consulting us and refused to reinstate it. This experience of poor customer service was unacceptable. It seems that they take on more delivery orders than they can handle, resulting in complaints of late and cold food. Canceling orders of dissatisfied customers is not the solution. We unfortunately visited this restaurant for a birthday meal during a trip away, as it was recommended by some locals we met outside and had good reviews on another site. However, we should have heeded the warning of a table of 4 leaving as we arrived, complaining about not being served after a 30-minute wait. Although we ordered quickly, it took 90 minutes for our starters to arrive, despite being asked multiple times if we had been served yet. We weren't the only ones facing long wait times, as three other tables were experiencing the same issue.
