There is no specific vegan menu available, and the wines are not labeled for vegans. The only choices for vegans were two dishes featuring cauliflower.

Enjoyed the chicken burger. Go hungry as it's large, perhaps a different plate would be better as l found it difficult to eat as it was on rather a small one. Very near the hospital so a good place for a bite if you are visiting someone.

We stayed here overnight after a holiday in the south of England. Upon arrival, we were given a bottle of water and a small flask of fresh milk for our room. Walked in and it looked really nice but then I was told that I couldn't order any food until half an hour later. I thought this was odd because it was empty. Even half an hour later it was even more empty. We didn't last long in there anyway because a rat ran past us in the courtyard where we were sitting. We left almost immediately.

THANKYOU to the amazing staff at this lovely pub and hotel. My step-dad took ill on holiday and we had to find a place to stay after he was discharged from the (nearby! hospital. The hotel did all they could to help, with early check in, a reserved parking space and rooms next door to each other. Great food too. Look forward to visiting again in happier times.

Very enjoyable overall, staff friendly and helpful; a couple of requests regarding the room were dealt with promptly and with total satisfaction. The menu is good; the only reservation I have is that the regular portions are far too big for me and even a 'small ' portion was too much. The room was spacious, very comfortable and well equipped, with an extra chair and a small dressing table mirror being provided on request, together with a stool in the wet room. I had a difficult time deciding what to order because there were so many delicious looking vegan options! In the end, I chose the vegan kebab and was not disappointed at all. The portion sizes were generous and the food was of excellent quality. It was definitely worth the price. For dessert, I had the crumble with custard which was also delicious. This restaurant is perfect for those looking for something a bit more upscale, and their extensive menu caters to both vegans and non-vegans. I highly recommend it to anyone. I also suggest making a reservation as it seems to get busy.

"The location of this place is fantastic, the breakfast is excellent, the service is superb, and they even offer nightcaps delivered to your room! I would give this place a 12/10 rating for going above and beyond with the little touches and exceptional service during our 2-night stay. It is great value for money and we would definitely stay here again. The room had nice coffee and tea with fresh milk, as well as home baked biscuits. The room also had air conditioning, a fabulous shower, and super comfortable beds. It is advisable to pre-book parking if needed, but if full, the auction mart car park is very safe with plenty of spaces just a 2-minute walk away."

My 2nd stay at the Toll House. Both times I have had 5 star experiences. The staff are very friendly, polite and professional. The food is amazing and I can recommend the beef taco starter, the sea bass, and fillet steak main courses. They have 4 great ales on from Thwaites brewery that are kept to perfection. The bar also has draft beers and the usual fridge stocked bottled ciders, tonics and juices. There is also a good selection of spirits. The air conditioned rooms are large and very clean with good amenities and en-suite bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable.
