"I visited here with a friend on a Wednesday morning for brunch, when we got there it was very quiet but it gradually got busier. It's slightly hidden away, but well worth finding and trying if you are coming to Lancaster, especially if you are vegan. However, you would still enjoy it even if you are not vegan as the menu is varied. I had the avocado on toast which was just amazing, for something so simple it was absolutely lovely, with loads of avocado. My friend had the full English which she enjoyed. We then both had some cake afterwards, there were lots of unique choices. There is a huge range of coffee, tea and juice available. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere/decor is really nice, too. Definitely get here if you can."

A definite hidden gem. And I'm not even vegetarian or vegan--but everything I ate was delicious!

Had a really nice brunch here. Husband had a full breakfast and I had garlic mushrooms with tomato and avocado and a turmeric latte. All delicious. And got a cake to take away which I'm enjoying now. Would definitely come again, thank you! View menu

I very rarely leave reviews. However this place deserves every 5 star review they get. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. Was very accommodating to our 1 year old also with toys and friendly waves and smiles from staff. We will be back!

Stopped by to pick up some vegan cakes after an unexpected work trip to Lancaster. All the cakes were vegan so didnt need to ask which were vegan. Staff were friendly as they are eventime I visit. Great place to stop for coffee and cake. Meals are great too. Plenty of tables with some outside seating when the weather allows. Does get very busy at times.

We first visited the whaletail over twenty years ago, when there was very limited options for veggies. The whaletail was definitely a family favourite as our boys were growing up and now they have fled the nest, we are back to being twosome. In all this time the whaletail has gone from strength to strength in terms of decor and food. Fantastic veggie cafe and definitely worth popping off the M6 for a great veggie treat. View menu

This place is absolutely delightful. I was a customer years ago and now my daughter is at uni in Lancaster, I have the perfect excuse to visit again. Very clean inside and the outside seating area is very pretty, like a secret garden. On this visit, I had the Berlin burger which was on a home made bun and was very filling. The side salad was fresh and interesting and the coleslaw tasted home made Next time though, I'll ask for more salad instead of the chips. I'll take some photos next time as well, before I demolish my food

I wanted to try this place since I came to Lancaster for uni in 2015! I finally tried it and instantly regretted not visiting sooner. The cafe is really welcoming and the menu is brilliant. Local, good quality ingredients, broad range of choice from soul food to healthy options (all veggie and lovely staff. Brilliant for veggies, vegans and anyone who likes good food. I got the seitan burger with chips and salad. It was delicious, you can taste the quality of the ingredients! Generous portions (maybe could do with less chips but not complaining! at a reasonable price
