"Worst pizza in Ticino. We may have been very unlucky but our pizzas were AWFUL. First of all, my pizza didn't match my order (some ingredients were missing, like mozzarella and ham but I decided to eat it anyways: and that was my worst decision of the day. The tomato sauce was just wrong, it tasted exactly like if it was put it over uncooked, and not salted at all: I had a similar experience in a place in Formentera (look at my review history for more info . Once I ate some pieces, I started feeling bad, I seriously had the feeling of puking. We bot shared the same opinion on the pizza, thus we asked for the check and left. I personally consider the location too bright at night (I didn't enjoyed the lighting at all , but the ambient is good. The prices are too high for some menu entries: for example, one liter of bottled water is 7.50 CHF. On the other hand, the staff seemed cool and friendly. Needless to say, I would personally avoid this place at all costs, but I may only have been very ill fated: YMMV."

"Very tasty food the 3 times I went eating there last week, good quality. For the entry course the mix salad (well served and flavored) and the cold cuts (3 different ham, salami, tasty local cheese and marinated veggies) were very good Also their asparagus risotto with shrimps was good, although I found it an odd mix. But the best are their pizzas, hands down the best in town and not to take anything from it it is located near the lake!!!! Their tomato sauce is amazing and the pastry is thin and crusty. If you like row ham, try their Sfiziosa pizza really loved it! (typically doesn't come with tomato sauce, i would recommend to add it). Finally service is very good, friendly, fast and polite, and if it is raining their booth are very comfy."

"Leider kann ich für dieses Lokal nur maximal 3 Sterne vergeben. Das Lokal wirbt an der Fassade mit Cevapcici und kroatischer Küche. Normalerweise sollte man eigentlich im Tessin von solchen Experimenten die Finger lassen. Aber man lernt wohl nie aus. Wir waren zu drittt vor Ort. Als Vorspeise haben wir Tessiner Platte und Carpaccio genommen. Beides wirklich gut und qualitativ sehr gut. Dazu gab es frisches Brot. Als Hauptspeise wählten wir 2x den Mixed Grill und eine Pizza. Die Pizza war groß und richtig gut. Der Mixed Grill bestand aus Cevapcici, Pleskavica und Schnitzel inkl. Pommes. Die Cevapcici und das Pleskavica waren im Prinzip ungenießbar. Das war halb aufgetautes Billigfleisch, welches dann nur kurz angebraten wurde. Das war optisch schon eher bedenklich und geschmacklich unterirdisch. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass man eine matschige Pampe im Mund hat, welche auch nach nichts schmeckt. Das Pleskavica hatte dazu noch eine Note, die man nicht recht beschreiben kann. Absolut eines kroatischen Essen nicht würdig. Deshalb wurde der Gesamteindruck komplett negativ. Selbst die drei Sterne sind eher kulant, weil die Pizza und die Vorspeisen gut waren. Von dem kroatischen Essen sollte man die Finger lassen. Das kostet viel Geld für nichts."

"Restaurant in a picturesque village just a few minutes from Lugano, Lena and Christian always welcome you with great cordiality and desire to make you have a carefree moment by recommending their fresh seasonal specialties, simple and refined Italian cuisine at the same time, exceptional wine list. Today I ate warm octopus salad, a sample of very soft veal with tuna sauce, grilled fish with vegetables and to finish on a high note, a meringue with cassata semifreddo and fresh fruit. This place is one of my favorites and we always have a very pleasant time as a family."

"We had lunch after getting off the boat from Lugano to Morcote. The old house and the impressing arcade add much to the atmosphere. We had a light lunch based on Piadine, thin dough filled with prosciutto or ham. Quite nice in a warm day. Beers and espresso fought off the looming dehydration. Food is of nice quality and the service quite nice. The view of the lake just fascinating, It was too warm a day to climb up to the little town's center. We rode back to Lugano on the Postauto."

"Um die Nachmittagssonne im Herbst in Morcote zu geniessen ist es eine geeignete Lokalität. Das Essen war gut. Die Bedienung wirkte jedoch gestresst und unpersönlich. Leider waren auch die Preise auf der Rechnung nicht identisch mit den Preisen auf der Speisekarte. Nach Reklamation hiess es, dass die Preise am Nachmittag um 1. bis 2. CHF variieren können. Das ist nirgends deklariert und scheint mir deshalb sehr willkürlich zu sein."

"Wir verbrachten ein sonniges Frühlingswochenende in Lugano und wollten in einem Lokal mit gute Küche und nettem Ambiente zu Abend essen. Nicht superteuer und abgehoben, nicht Pizza/Pasta. Irgendwo dazwischen.Wir fanden das Botero und alle unsere Vorstellungen wurden übertroffen. Wirklich tolles Amuse Buche aus Tartar, Tortilla und Miniburger; zwei raffinierte Vorspeisen, ein unverfälschtes, top auf den Punkt gegartes Tomahawk und aus dem Stand angerichtetes Tiramisu wurden zügig, kompetent und freundlich serviert. Der Wein war ein junger Merlot aus der Region zu einem sehr angemessenen Preis. Wer tolle Qualität und handwerklich hervorragende Zubereitung höher wertet als prätentiösen Schnickschnack ist hier bestens aufgehoben."

"Sayuri Japan Restaurant nice Ambiente simple facility, but still nice; there’s many tables kind and anxious service (spoke basic English) the food was nice. We ordered Philadelphia Maki Rolls, mixed tempura, rice cake with hot sesame sauce and ice cream mochi. All of it was delicious and fresh. Especially the sushi fish was fresh and tasty. the prices are more on the expensive side, but considering the freshness and quality of the fish it‘s totally ok. Staff had their child in the restaurant playing on a tablet, which seemed a little unprofessional The music seemed a bit off for a (Japanese) restaurant"

"Eine familiengeführte kleine Bar und Restaurant. Das Essen ist wirklich gut und der junge Mann, der den Ort durch die Nachmittage bis in die Nacht bemannt ist sehr freundlich und energisch. Wir genossen unser Abendessen sie und gingen wieder zum Frühstück, das war gut, aber es gab eine Sprachbarriere mit der Dame am Morgen, als sie kein Englisch sprach oder verstand."

"Friday, 23. August my wife and I used our tickets for Lake Maggiore Express. We started a train from Stresa to Domodossola and then the Vista train to Lugano. In Lugano we came across this small place. We sat at one of the open tables opposite the bar and each chilled out a few beers. We only had drinks here and can't comment on the food. However, the service was good, and the two young female employees who served us were friendly and very same."

"This tiny restaurant has just become my favourite place to eat in Lugano. It's just one big room with a few tables but it's decorated in such a way that you feel in someone's traditional and old fashioned home, or in a French bistrot. I...had lunch here twice, the second time was today and I will be back in 3 days, you can see how I love it : The food is delicious: 6-7 main courses and 3-4 types of desserts, limited choice means quality and freshness. Many of the veggies come from their garden, dishes are original in their combination and different from standard classic restaurants. They have a small menu that changes every time, with vegetarian options. Everything is homemade, including desserts. I love drinking their ginger infusion together with my meal. They are open from breakfast to aperitif, however if you are a big group of people they can open just for you in the evening. In the summer they have a few tables outside, I can't wait to try that too. It's so nice to have such a unique place in Lugano, different from all the mainstream normal restaurants and so full of character!"

"Monday evening and rainy. We were the only guests. The service was simply great, very kind and friendly. The food unbelievable delicious, fresh and tasty. We had prosciutto, melon and burrata as starter, followed by lamb chops as well as beef tartar, accompanied by a nice bottle of Pinot noir red wine. Great place simple ambiance but highly recommended!"

"We're late for lugano and we didn't know where to go. We went through the park and looking at the crew app we saw it was close. So we've decided to go, and the truth is that he hasn't let us down. the waiters have been very friendly and friendly, correct service and in time, against some comment here. "Tonight my family and I went to Buffet because they have some monthly special events and we wanted to give it a try. The restaurants is at the main train station, offers plenty of seats and parking spaces nearby. The interior is a bit outdated,...but clean and well kept though. We ordered several dishes of rösti and I tried their pizza. Everything was more than satisfying, prices were good (12chf for my pizza!! And portions were decent, although not big enough for my appetite... so I had a carrot cake as dessert. Overall both my family and I left satisfied, and happy because staff was corteous too. I can gladly recommend."

"Although this place is called a "snack bar", the lunch menu is far more than just a selelction of sandwiches or salads. Every day there are 4-5 choices of single-dish menus, of which two are pasta (homemade egg noodles or durum wheat short pasta), one is vegetarian (e.g. quiches) and a meat dish. There are also weekly dishes, mainly in the sandwich-area, but also pasta dishes. While you wait (not long at all) to be served, the lovely owner (she speaks German, Italian, and even Swiss-German dialect) will bring you a basket full of homemade focaccia or whole wheat bread to munch on. The 'Margherita' is ideal also for after work drinks among colleagues. You can of course organise an apèro. The place will fit 20 pax. inside and 15 pax. outside. Morning breakfast is more or less what you can get in most bars in town, coffee, croissants, juices, etc. As far as lunch goes, for me going to the 'Margherita' is a treat, and the quality of the food and the service are something that in Lugano are slowly disappearing. I am lucky to have discovered this place and I highly recommend it, even for tourists visiting the city and who don't know where to go outside of the city centre (the Margherita is a 15' walk from the main town square)"

"I went with my wife and friends to try this all you can eat sushi . Be prepared. You can 't choose your sushis, also they will take more than 45 minutes to be prepared. I don 't come back and not recommend at all."

"+ Die Location ist sehr liebevoll und mit Stil eingerichtet.- Die Gastgeber sind mit grosser Wahrscheinlickeit Quereinsteiger worunter der Service sehr gelitten hat. Wir haben 2 Gläser von einem offenen Wein bestellt: dieser wurde direkt eingeschenkt ohne eine Probe anzubieten. Die Menge in der Flasche hat nur für 1 und ein halbes Glas gereicht. Die neue Flasche wurde geöffnet, in einem neuen Glas probiert und dann ohne zu fragen in dem mit alten Wein halbvollen Glas eingeschenkt.. Für Weinliebhaber ein NOGO!- Die Grundprodukte auf dem Teller waren bestimmt von guter Qualität, leider jedoch ohne Liebe und ohne Salz zubereitet, das bestellte Fleisch war nicht wie bestellt medium sondern rare und das Dessert viel zu süss.- Am Nebentisch sassen offensichtich Freunde der Gastgeber. Diese haben den selben Wein bestellt, der wurde in tollen Kristallgläser serviert und nicht im Pressglas wie bei uns. Der Brotkorb wurde mit verschiedenen Brotsorten und Grissini aufgehübscht, bei uns nicht. Freunde und Gäste sollten immer die gleiche Qualität erhalten, dies war sehr enttäuschend..Die Idee des Konzepts ist bestimmt gut, jedoch scheinen die Gastgeber noch nicht die Fähigkeit zu besitzen dieses auch richtig umzusetzen. Hoffentlich ändert sich das noch.."

"ci vengo ogni tanto per una pizza. Il personale è sempre molto cordiale. Qualche tempo fa era gestito da portoghesi e ora il personale è quasi tutto cambiato. "Visited the restaurant in early September with two other couples (6 total people). We were given an outside table which really, really meant outside (meaning we were on the sidewalk! The Sidewalk is uphill and so we let Stefano (who stands at over 2 meters)...sit at the bottom so that we could all feel adequate. Apart from the uncomfortable vintage point and the miniature table for 6, the food was very good and the service was also better than what we have found around the Lugano area. All in all a very pleasant evening."
