North Norfolk is famed for its stunning coastline, charming villages, and seafood, particularly Cromer crabs, often enjoyed in local eateries or on the scenic beaches.

"I used this takeaway a few times, and its was consistently cut through, on poor. thin gland sauces, all seem to cost the same no matter what the court. I agree with other reviews of the Chinese curry sauce. odd is the only way to describe it. it is like a cross between curry sauce and custard. I would not normally visit again, but since there is not another one for miles around me, I'm afraid I could end up repeating my mistake when next visit."

"We had booked a twin room. The accommodation is separate to the pub and is located at the side of the garden and car park in converted buildings, maybe stables or other outhouses. There are three separate rooms, a twin, a double, and a family...room. The twin appeared to be the smallest of the three. The room is described as being which was something I missed when booking, so imagine a standard garage, and chop it in half, that's the size of your room! Just long enough to get two singles beds in, plus a small table for tea coffee. There is a small plastic chair at the bottom of the bed on the other side, but this blocks access to the power sockets, which are low down close to the floor. There was only a small rail in an adjoining cupboard to hang your clothes, and there was no light in there. The bathroom was equally as small, with nowhere to put any personal toiletries, or even anywhere to hang hand towels. The lady who greeted us on our first night (she must have been waiting just for us as we were the only ones staying) was rather abrupt. It was just this is your room, here are your keys, breakfast is in there (pointing to the access door), and if you need anything just ring the number for the pub, and she was off. There was no local tourist information in the room (nowhere to put it anyway), nor was there any that I was in the pub. It may well be that the two other rooms are better, but they are all in the same accommodation block."

"Absolutely amazing service and delicious home made food. We visited during a rainy Saturday afternoon and Mel Morrin were so welcoming and it was a warm and really comfortable and stylish cafe. Well Spaced and safe. the coffee @Giveitsomebeans ‘Henrys Blend’ was a smooth, rich roast with a beautiful aroma. Really a must try for coffee lovers. The carrot cake, made by Mel, was the best I had ever tasted, and my partners tea cake, he shared was scrumptious. We checked out the menu and are definately coming back for the “Big Henry” Breakfast for him, and I really want to try one of the vege or vegan options. Can’t wait and planning next visit already. I highly recommend a visit and say hi to the team from us"

"We came to Stalham to visit Daddy Donuts but called in here for coffee as we got a bit confused as to where Daddy Donuts was. Anyway, we are so glad we did. The cafe was busy with regulars having cooked breakfasts which looked amazing. Table service was provided and we opted to share a piece of cake and have tea and coffee. My mum is not the easiest coffee drinker to please and she was very happy with her coffee. We had the orange and lemon cake and half a slice each was plenty for us it was delicious! All the cakes are home made and excellently so. The visit set us up nicely for a wander round Stalham and yes, we did find Daddy Donuts in the end"

"We had to cancel a dinner reservation at a local restaurant on the first night of our break in Norfolk due to circumstances beyond our control. Albert’s was just over the road from where we were staying so was wonderfully convenient. Due to COVID-related restrictions,..."

"We found this little gem a few years ago when we visited Cromer, and always make a beeline for it whenever we return. It’s a very popular place, so can get a bit busy and you may need to wait for a while, but it doesn’t matter; it’s worth the wait! The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the food was up to the usual high standard. You must have the crab! And on this occasion, we all revelled in England’s Women’s World Cup semi-final win! Can’t wait to go back again!"

"Went for evening meal on curry night. But full menu was still available. Went for the curry but a bit disappointed to find that by 7pm one of the three curries was sold out. So left with one meat and one veggie choice. But that aside it was a great experience. Curries were very tasty. Staff really helpful. It still retains the feel of a proper country pub. Many pubs in the area have gone all out on ‘gastro’ and so not a place to go for a drink any more. Was there midweek in November but pretty busy. Overall had a nice feel. Would definitely add to pubs to go to when in the area"

"I really didn’t want to leave such an excellent review, selfishly I want to keep this little place to myself. But seen as I don’t live in Cromer and only visit once a year that would be very selfish of me. If you are hungry and want some incredibly delicious home cooked food, this is the place for you. Portion sizes are huge, all meals ordered we’re very tasty and the level of service was 5 star. Well done Breakers Cafe. We will definitely be returning!!"
"according to my opinion this is the best caffe in cromer, eating is excellent with much of it homemade, personal are friendly, courtesy and efficient. I also feel very assured that, although we now learn to live with covid, there are still inconspicuous measures...to place to protect employees and customers. definitely worth a visit if in cromer."

"My family consists of mostly vegetarians, so we were pleased to find that this restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian breakfast options, in addition to traditional meat and fish options. We all chose cooked breakfasts around £10, which included the choice of white or granary toast. The food was cooked to order and fresh, with high-quality ingredients. When we requested softly scrambled eggs, they were prepared exactly as we asked. We also enjoyed large pots of tea with extra water. Overall, it was a great experience for both carnivores and vegetarians. The service was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cromer center."

"We had takeaway f&c. Portion sizes generous for chips but a bit meagre for fish. Medium fish was more what we’d have expected as small. Chips had nice flavour and fish seemed fresh. Efficient service for our largish order (7 portions) and friendly staff. Got a parking space right outside but supermarket across the road would have been fine as an alternative."

"This is our 13th year coming to holt for new year and have visited feathers every year. Some years even going to the New Year’s Eve party. Since this fine pub has been taken over we have seen numerous changes that haven’t been for the better but have just let them go. However upon visiting this year with the family for a meal, I just had to leave a review about my utter distaste for out and out profiteering. There were 5 adults and 3 kids all having meals and drinks. No starters just mains and we had four deserts. We had a few drinks of which the prices are rather high for a village pub. The meals were ok but as other people have stated in reviews pretty basic for the price. When the bill came it was in excess of £330, which I was shocked at but not overly, but upon review I’d noticed they had charged £2.40 for a cordial with tap water! I thought this was wrong so questioned the waiter. He then got the manager who in turn stated this in fact was correct and couldn’t do anything about it! Why didn’t she just knock it off the bill as a good will gesture as surely she could see how wrong this was and how much we were paying.I’m sorry feathers management but the charge for the cordial is totally immoral and a complete rip off! You’re charging £2.40 for one measure of cordial which is more than the actual value of a bottle. This whole event was a shame and should have been sorted by an efficient manager but it wasn’t and has left a massive distaste in our mouth."

"Having eaten here many times over the years, most recently only a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately I am compelled to now write a negative review. Booked a table for 7 to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday for the August Bank Holiday Sat night. Received a call the day before cancelling the booking, as the restaurant was shut due to staff testing positive for Covid (though no apology was given). After attending an amazing Cromer Pier show, we were unable to get a meal anywhere as everywhere (understandably due to the time of year) was fully booked. It was therefore surprising to walk past a seemingly full restaurant on the way home and I felt compelled to enter the premises to query the rationale for the cancellation. Suffice it to say, the receptionist knew nothing of the supposed !Hotel Covid outbreak’ and the ‘Manager’ could not have been less helpful. The outcome of the discussion was that ‘residents’ take priority, despite any prior bookings made, therefore bookings were cancelled to accommodate and prioritise such guests above ‘non residents’! I would never now book this restaurant again and would strongly recommend The Red Lion or Lily Mai in Cromer, Sammy’s in East Runton, or Rocky Bottoms in West Runton (all of which are excellent) above this joke of a place."

"Post run visit for lunch. Drove passed one the way out and reviews were good and although we did stop in Wroxham on the way back nothing took our fancy so carried on to Ludham. Wasn’t disappointed. Lovely welcome and picked a seat in the sunshine indoors. Great menu. Food was great and all our special requests were accommodated. Value for money for sure. Great pub and location. Sadly we didn’t have our doodle with us but she would of loved it for sure! I had the prawn Marie-rose baguette and hubby had haddock. We shared halloumi fries. I would of loved to have had the chocolate cheesecake for dessert but sadly no room!!!"

"Not sure why we haven 't been here before probably because there 's no menu displayed outside (the one thing that could be improved). We were looking for a latish lunch and had just been turned away by the Little Theatre cafe where the kitchen closes at 2.30. So this was the nearest place and we decided to give it a try, grabbing the only free table. Full marks for serving lunch 'til 3.30, having a really interesting menu, friendly and efficient service, good coffee, lovely food, nice atmosphere and providing magazines. My sisters chicken club sandwich was huge and my bacon and brie bagel was lovely and oozy! Might try brunch next time."

"What a disappointment. Haven 't been here for some time, and we were so looking forward to our visit based on our previous experiences. On arrival, we were surprised at the scruffy waiting staff. A miniscule pickle selection was brought to us along with a couple of poppadoms. We were asked if we wanted drinks, and I requested a bottle of sparkling water. The waitress returned to say the bottles hadn 't been put in the fridge... I requested tap water instead, l was later asked if the bottle was now cold enough? no! From our seats i observed customers struggling to get in and out of the toilet, I realised the issue was due to the storage of a high chair in front of the door! We put in our orders with the waitress; when our starters arrived, my husband was brought the wrong dish. The waitress shouted at the owner ? that 'he didn 't want it '. Obviously, it took some time to prepare his starter, by which time I 'd finished mine. Our mains arrived. This time, my husband had requested the chicken option but was served the more expensive lamb version. We decided to say nothing as we didn 't want to repeat our first course experiences! We had ordered Onion Bhajis as a side, which I would definitely question whether they were homemade as they were like hard golf balls! We ordered 2 coffees, whilst waiting a large mixed age group arrived and sat themselves all over the restaurant. The ones next to us then proceeded to let their child play a loud game on his IPad. One would have hoped the staff would have requested they desist. The group proceeded to call out to each other with no regard for other customers. The 2 waiting staff and owner struggled to deal with taking their orders and appeared to have completely forgotten their other customers... We asked again for our coffees, which eventually arrived. The disturbance created by the new customers meant we rushed our coffee so we could leave. The main food was pleasant, but the chaos ruined the meal. The prices remain high, but the food and restaurant as a whole do not justify these charges! It is unlikely we will return here, Parking: The nearest car park is about 10 mins walk away and is free after 6pm"

"We arrived in Blakeney and spotted the Kings Arms. We fancied a pint. We saw the landlord outside who was holding a ladder. He made no effort to speak. My partner asked if the pub was open. The landlord said it was closed for a week and it stated this on all the doors and windows, in a very brusque manner. It clearly pained him to speak to us. Therefore I apologised to him, for having to speak to us. We went on our way. Around the corner we spotted the Blakeney Hotel. We sat outside on the terrace with our dogs and enjoyed a pint and delicious sandwiches with lovely service. It was a relief the Kings Arms was closed. I would like to thank the landlord for being so utterly charmless, so we won’t bother him again on our next visit to Blakeney."

"The food was hot and delicious, but unfortunately, there was a blonde hair in the pork and Stilton dish. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she simply walked away and did not return. The five of us found the menu to be lacking, as there were no chicken nuggets available for the child in our group. The other adults ordered starters and sides, but the table service was poor following the hair incident. It took twenty minutes for the child's dessert to arrive, and when it did, it was placed on the opposite side of the table from the child. The waitress seemed annoyed and left hastily. No one came to apologize for the hair in the dish, so we have no plans to return. The restaurant was not overly busy when we dined at 6:00 PM on a Monday night."

"Been to chubby panda many times, but fir the last year, I stopped as the food had down down hill. As now in 2023 thought I give them another chance and this time the food was good. A big improvement from last year. Only thing now is prices have gone up like every where. Average meal for 2 people with soft drinks came to £75. "Fantastic great quality meal with lovely pints to boot. Restaurant wasn’t busy on an October Sunday night so managed to get a table no bother. Had poppadoms and pickles, two mains, peshwari naan, rice and three pints for £50 which I would consider to be great value. Everything was very tasty and well cooked and of a decent portion. From the moment we stepped in we had fantastic service with very attentive and kind staff really couldn’t ask for more. Toilets were also wonderfully clean. Other reviews mention that decor is dated which I suppose is true, while a lick of paint and a redecorate wouldn’t go amiss, this definitely doesn’t detract from the meal. Cobra on tap was excellent. Would highly recommend!"
