Lady at the counter was very friendly and sweet with her suggestions and offered to fill our water bottles for free. It's very close to the Castle so do check it out specially for the cakes and tea. "we have just returned from a night in the knot, where we have a hommage to frankie valli of the valli boys very impressed by the hotel from the reception through all the way. we found the personal very friendly and obligated. the food was excellent and despite the restaurants full of capacity, the whole food was delivered immediately and hot thoroughly. not easy to reach. this was our first visit, but will certainly not be the last. thank you again at theФar."

"Last night, my family and I dined at the restaurant after enjoying some takeout from there a few times before. We were extremely impressed with the food - crisp, light batter as promised, delicious chips with extra toppings. I even tried the battered Mars bar and it was amazing, especially with the ice cream and other extras. The service was excellent, efficient, and the waitstaff were very skilled at their jobs. We are already looking forward to our next visit. And the battered mince pie for Christmas that my dad tried? Absolutely incredible. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"What can I say my family and I had the rustic bread with a filling which comes with Coleslaw and tortilla chips which I must say was not cheap for a mere sandwich we put our order in only to be told when they placed it in front of us they had run out of coleslaw but instead gave us some salad first of all they must have known they had no Coleslaw when they took our order and you do not presume we want salad the bread was dry and stale the chutney was like a running liquid which tasted full of sugar. The tortilla chips were stale too had no flavour at all they must have been the cheapest of cheap chips. We were the last people in there before the placed closed and I guess we just got the leftovers o and another thing salad consists of lettuce tomatoes cucumber onion and peppers especially the price we paid all we had was a little bit of lettuce and a slice of tomotoe no onion or cucumber call that a salad I had to go ask for some onion which was dried up. The waitress who served us was I thought rude and we were an inconvenience because we arrived not long before closing time will never go to that place again my sister complained and we should have got a reduction in our bill but that did not happen total rubbish how easy is it to make a nice sandwich with FRESH ingredients."

"During our stay at a nearby bed and breakfast, the owner recommended The Dial Inn to us. We were extremely grateful that she did. The restaurant was beautifully clean and the customer service was exceptional. My girlfriend and I both ordered the fish and chips, which were absolutely delicious. The fish had a great batter, the chips were triple-cooked, and the homemade tartare sauce was delightful. The food and atmosphere were so wonderful that we decided to make a reservation for the next evening while we were still dining. We started with the garlic King prawns, which were incredibly flavorful and came in a generous portion. For our main courses, my girlfriend ordered a lamb dish while I had two pork steaks in peppercorn sauce, both of which were outstanding. We finished our meal by sharing a lemon tart for dessert. The food and service were top-notch, and we will definitely be returning in the future."

"We visited this little gem after a lovely long walk. We chose to sit in as the weather was hit and miss and what a charming little place it was and very attentive staff. There were three of us in our party we chose to eat the ham and cheese panini, which was fully loaded, the steak, onion and mushroom baguette which was totally amazing, both of these were served with homemade coleslaw, beautiful side salad and cous cous, also the baguette was served with fresh new potatoes. The other member of our party ordered the ploughman’s which was huge and a great variety of cheese and the best chutney ever. We had to buy a jar of the chutney it was so good. The cakes looked outstanding and such huge pieces we had to have a slice of chocolate sponge to take home and may I say that was scrummy. This place is clean, excellent food and exceptional quality, great staff and great prices. Keep up the good work 5 stars needed for this little gem of a place."

"Hadn’t been here for since last year as the last couple of times food was very dry and well under par . Went last night on way home from work at 7.30, we had been looking forward to our favourite place Mr Chips all day, but for some reason it had closed early. I thought maybe Rowlies had improved so would give it another go but Nope it was awful, actually felt sick after eating it. Fish was slimy, grey, tasteless and undercooked, batter was soggy and way too much, chips tasted like they had been repeatedly cooked . Will certainly not be returning, especially after the last time I rang them to let them know how poor it was and the girl who answered just said ‘Ok, thankyou’ . I would rather go without ."

"queues from the door still serving the person was consciously a long time to do everything, took 15 minutes to make 2 ice creams and warm up a torte (which was not very nice). Go back and forth to get paper towel, wash hands and open and close when from no obvious reason. has not recognized any customers who are waiting or apologize for this moment. really bad selection of products at lunchtime, many people went out and went to the caffe opposite the sailing club wish I would have with them. I asked if we wanted to pay cash or card, I offered cash money, then he was told he had no change, so it was a card. what terrible service for what should be a really nice place!"

"What a shambles. Some of the slowest service we have experienced and poor communication. Every issue could have been avoided. Arrived for lunch 20min before special menu ended, aware of the time we asked if we could order straight away and they said there was no rush. 25min later a server took our order... "Sorry specials not available after 3 '... Great our worries confirmed. 10min later we tried to place an amended order and then a few minutes later had to pick a third option due to lack of stock. Portions were smaller than others at the table maybe stretching the stock at the end of service. After 15min after ordering our bread dish still missing. 30min after ordering drinks arrive. After another 20min bread arrived once everything was cold and 3 people had finished... Such a stressful 1h20m, spend the money on ingredients and cook at home. Not our first poorly managed experience here."

"4 of us were on a golfing weekend in May '21 and stayed in a nearby hotel. Stumbled across this pub a short distance away. What a stroke of luck !!. Were made to feel welcome instantly. All had a fabulous meal of fish and chips on the Friday night washed down with a great selection of beers and spirits. Adam the owner is a top bloke who is aided by Steph his sister a major character Gareth the chef, Anne and Max the young lad behind the bar. We returned on the Saturday to feast on Steaks with all the trimmings. By this time we felt like we were locals chatting to virtually everyone in the pub. We promised we 'd back and did so in May '22. Greeted as if we were now family !! Had another 2 fantastic nights and as we are all Welsh, gave the karaoke/jukebox a major bashing. It 's now 12th July '23 and we 're going back on the 14th for 2 days golf and 2 nights in the Sun. Brace yourself Adam It 's going to memorable I 'm sure !!! Best wishes Dave, Paul, Chris and Dave Cardiff. Only had the nearest choice of August '22 as visit date"

"We absolutely loved our meal here the food was truly excellent! It was a quieter night with no live music when we went but I can imagine the atmosphere would have been amazing on one of their live music evenings! We started with sourdough bread, balsamic dip and olives and they were all really tasty. The bread tasted really, really fresh. For mains we had chicken saffron and beef baked in a yoghurt, ginger and pepper sauce. Both dishes were absolutely delicious the meat was so tender and the sauces were packed full of flavor. The highlight however was the desserts chocolate fondant torte and a raspberry and hazelnut meringue gateaux. The combination of fresh raspberries and Chantilly cream alongside the hazelnut meringue was such a great way to finish off the meal...I think I'd walk back to Pembrokeshire for another bite!!! The staff were friendly and efficient and made the final night of our Welsh holiday a really lovely one! We'd definitely be back for more if we were in the area again."

"18 of us gathered for a surprise birthday meal.. only not to be seated together. Part of the party was sat in a corner area and the other just below. However all cramped in. Where my seat was I was sat between two tables and had no space to eat. The waitress started to bring the food out at 7.30. The table was booked for 7.30 and not everyone had arrived. The waitresses became disgruntled with us for asking them to return the food to the kitchen and be brought back when the whole party had arrived. When the food arrived meals were missing and some incorrect meaning some of the party only started eating when others had finished. Food wasn’t great either. Weren’t asked if we wanted sauces. When we did find a waitress to ask for some they never arrived. Drinks orders were taken but most drinks didn’t arrive but stayed on the bill. One waitress was incredibly rude to both us and the other waitress and started arguing with other restaurant staff right next to our table. Safe to say we left as soon as we could and went to a different pub."

"My wife has asthma, and on a day where it was affecting her breathing more than others she chose to sit on one of the bench’s outside the restaurant for a 2 minute break on our walk back to our hotel. Someone came out and asked us if we had a booking which we didn’t and very rudely snapped you can’t sit there this is private property! He didn’t give us a chance to explain why we had stopped or that we were just about to move off again anyway! Not a good advert for the restaurant! Update: someone from the restaurant replied to my review saying I was basically lying because the member of staff who came out to us had a different story. Well of course he would! Not good for someone in a customer facing job to admit they were rude and abrupt to someone else even if they weren’t a customer. We know I was telling the truth and so does he. Hopefully it will serve as a learning opportunity for him in future!"

"My husband called here today for some cakes and while he was in the shop I had a nasty fall outside. I want to say to the owner of the shop Sue I think her name is?? a great big thank you for going way and above for looking after me..brought out some steps for me to sit on and also gave me a cup of tea free of charge wouldn’t let me pay for it. "We have been here many times and had fabulous meals, however, the place has changed dramatically and not for the best! What has happened to the food and all the lovely staff? It changes each time we are here- like rats leaving the sinking ship!...The layout of both areas has altered, there's not much atmosphere. Its all gone down hill, trying to be something it isn't, even the waitress has a fake Aussie accent! Anyway it appears to be closed right now- maybe it will have improved by the time they re-open (if they do re-open that is). In the meantime dine somewhere else."

"I often visit Manillas and last night I had the pleasure of attending their Mediterranean Tapas night. The food was fresh and every dish (13 in total) was delicious. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, and the service was friendly and well-paced. I am very picky when it comes to dining out and I usually don't leave reviews unless everything was superb, but the whole team at Manillas exceeded my expectations. I have already booked in for next week's Mexican night and I can't wait. It's so nice to have themed evenings during the darker months. Well done to everyone at Manillas!"

"The fish and chip shops in Tenby seem to get a bit of a bashing including this one. But my experience here was first class. Despite being very busy the woman that served me was very friendly, patient and efficient. The cod I had was excellent freshly cooked with perfect light batter and the chips were just the way I like them perfectly cooked with a light crisp. Went down a treat!"

"This establishment was recommended to us with advice to book. We are glad we did as it was very busy became aware of casual customers being turned away. Staff were friendly interacted with customers. My wife had a steak self the steak ale pie both meals came piping hot. The steak was cooked as requested tender. The pie crust was very light the meat chunky tender. There were a mountain of chips on each of our plates together with peas onion rings. We could not fault the meals unfortunately we did not have room for a sweet but those we saw in the cabinet looked very tempting! Yes, would have no hesitation in returning if staying in the area again."
