"have been driven to signs for this place several times, but never seen it; its actually not on emmott lane, so if they use sat nav, it will never find. it is actually located on hill lane (which connects to emmott lane). first impressions .very beautiful, looks warm and attracts from the outside; and the inner is also beautiful; fantastic huge lights hanging in an open shiny style conservatory. service was good; very friendly and helpful; good selection of food and drinks; in the rule a 4/5 evaluation so far. I do not eat meat so always expect a menu to be limited for me; without 3 fish dishes there were only 1 no meat choice persian courgette sound nice and around 5p short £16 I expected some substantial talk about disappointing what arrived, 1 culinary in half lengths cut on a brow of cousin and a dribble of some tasteless white sauce laid. I'm not cooking, but I could have rusted something exactly the same home for less than £5. we were a party of 4 and the other 3 had variable dishes. the battered haddock at £16.50 was in the ground fish and chips with exalted, even if it were from the local chippy it would be closer to £10. the 2 other main thing seemed reasonable price-performance ratio. I thought maybe we were unhappy with our choice of pornstars so we chose some puddings; again a 50/50 result. schwamm pudding costs 5p short £8 could have come from a £3 zinn. but the dark chocolate fondant was very nice, but cost 5p short £9 was too expensive. So, finally, she expects this place to pay the best price for very average food. I'm sorry, but I won't eat here again if I'm paying £32 for a pornstar and pudding it must be above average in taste / quality / size."

"Came in, saw it was fully booked so left… as we walked away a member of staff shouted that they’d clear a table… No smile, no opportunity to say thank you, just walked off. The food was below average, greasy the drinks were over priced, the apple juice is absolutely tiny and you saw them poor it from a cheapo Aldi carton. Isn’t healthy as it’s advertised. Waited ages for food. We ordered a starter… it came with our meal in the end, not much of a starter. I say in the end because it came, it was the wrong order but I thought I’d eat it to save causing a scene… turns out they’d taken it to the wrong table… the kitchen was open plan with the seating, you could hear everything they had to say loudly. I kid you not, the staff spoke about me and my boyfriend in the OPEN kitchen like pieces of ****, saying I was stealing (because I’d eaten it), I’d be charged for it, I was stupid for not speaking up, amongst other things.. for something which wasn’t my error! I was absolutely fuming, belittling a customer when you know they can hear you. The food finally came and it was just below average, wouldn’t eat it again, we didn’t eat most of it. Poor quality produce from Aldi. We weren’t charged for the additional ‘starter’ in the end. There’s no atmosphere, I put that down to the fact you can’t have a conversation because the kitchen is open, you can hear their conversations in the kitchen too… their lovely comments about their paying customers. The staff are cold, rude and not welcoming. Shame when it’s in the heart of Barnoldswick."
