"We had been recommended by friends in the village to go here. We were shown to our table, and given the menus. In a way I'm glad I didn't go for a starter, as the main was so filling. Drinks orders were taken. Mine was a Beef Shin with tagliatelle. Others had a curry. The chunks of beef were large bitesize, and absolutely gorgeous. Sauce matched, and the whole thing really filled you up. 4 beers were available on tap, that I saw. A Timothy Taylor's (NOT Landlord, but another of their range), an Oakam Ale from Rutland and 2 others I forget which. Staff were great, I think we must have been checked on about 5-6 times over the meal and preamble. If I was in the area again, I'd definitely go back."

Visited with a friend after a long wait,, very disappointed,, cheese pie, cold tasteless. Will not go again. Save your money go to the Red Bull in Seburgh, pies there are delicious.

We have eaten at this restaurant before and have always had a great experience. The ham hock pie is amazing. The staff are very polite and it's a favorite spot of ours. It's just unfortunate that they stop serving so early on Saturday evenings.

Our friends booked this pub for our regular get together. What a treat, I ordered spicy chicken on ciabatta, absolutely delicious. The rest had fish chips, steak pie bangers champ. All superb, in fact the sausages were deemed the best ever! Lovely, friendly, efficient girls really couldn't fault it. Deserves a rare 5 stars from me!

My girlfriend and I went last night and had a great time. All the food was delicious personally the black pudding bon bons were my favourite, but everything was phenomenal. The service was amazing, all the staff including the landlord were so helpful difficult not to enjoy when it's this good. Great value for money too we went here due to recommendations, and will now be passing on for other people to go. Definitely coming back.

Friday lunch with my wife the Four Alls had been recommended to her. We were given a table promptly waitress got us our menus and took the drinks order. The place was very clean and staff were great. My wife was impressed with the menu but felt bad as the choices were limited for me as a lot of dishes with cheese and I cannot tolerate cheese. I played safe and chose the steak pie. What a great choice it was amazing my wife had chicken and loved it. We booked a table for a couple of weeks time it was that good.

The food here is absolutely phenomenal. We basically all had pie and it was without a doubt one of, if not THE best, pies I’ve ever had. Unfortunately the place really lacks the atmosphere to go with its amazing food. It doesn’t really have a cosy vibe because the lighting is so bright and clinical it really takes away from the dining experience. This place would be perfect if they could just fix the lighting and make it a bit cosier without table candles etc. because the food is truly something special and it deserves the ambience to match!

We had a table booked in the thatch for a family lunch, when we got there, they didn't even have one real ale on so we walked out, phoned the four alls and set off. When we got there 10 minutes later there was a table set up for us with a high chair and menus that are easy to read even if you forget your glasses. Great. There was plenty of good quality real ale and the the staff were on the ball. The food was great and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. We loved it and had a great afternoon in there. We will be going again. We would never had known if the Thatch hadn't had been so bad.

After reading recommendations on Facebook, I was excited to try this restaurant for Sunday lunch. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, but I was disappointed by the lack of ambiance in the dining room. The pub is in need of a renovation, with basic decor and no background music. It was also chilly inside, not the cozy atmosphere I was expecting. The menus were cheaply made, and the cutlery was old and worn. The pies we ordered were freshly cooked and tasty, but nothing special. The desserts were decent, but overall, the experience fell short of my high expectations. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

We brought our three grandchildren, aged 9, 7, and 2, to lunch at the restaurant on Friday. The older kids were intrigued by the meaning of the pub's name. The menu had something for everyone in our small group. The staff were very accommodating and able to cater to the children's preferences. I enjoyed the small haddock and chips, which were delicious. My husband said his steak and ale pie was excellent. The children's menu was just right, with options like chicken nuggets, chips, and peas that were better than the usual fare. The chipolatas were also a hit (7 good-sized sausages) served with peas or beans, mash, or chips. We will definitely be returning.
