Superb meal as always. Excellent quality food, large portions and a fantastic varied menu. The service was great and in fabulous, cosy surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Lovely service by Chantelle who was the perfect host. She ensured we had everything we needed and wanted. We had dinner and lunch there and it was lovely. Shame we had to return home after a lovely break staying in the area.

What a wonderful, relaxing and cosy place to dine. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was as good as we have experienced at any pub, Large portions and very tasty and satisfying. A very large selection of drinks on offer. Highly recommended.

Used to love this place,it used to be great home cooked food with a great atmosphere, last few times it’s really gone down hill, They forgot my sons meal so waited 20mins whilst we ate ours then tried to charge us for it, there were the owners kids running around and the bar staff looked like they were having to entertain them! Not great at all, won’t be rushing back!

We decided to go out for Dinner and picked Black lane ends due mainly to it's extensive Gluten free options and welcoming atmosphere we all had main courses we were checked with to see if we had allergens and the service was as friendly as ever i had the haddock and prawn mornay from the specials and my husband opted for his favourite burger The lamb with goats cheese my daughter the Gammon all in lovely evening as ever

A visit on a recommendation. Mid week but a warm and extremely welcoming pub with great fresh food and some excellent home made deserts (the jam roly poly was seriously welcomed). Lovely staff who made you feel at home and service very much with a smile. Some nice beer options and plenty of choices for those who are driving. Great value and I'll definitely pass on the recommendation made to us. We plan to visit again soon.

We arrived mid afternoon, it was not busy. I ordered fish n chips. When it came, it was more overcooked chips a small piece of fish. So much so, the server said she would ask chef to cook another piece of fish. The mushy peas were very runny. My partner had Cajun chicken burger, it was also accompanied with masses of soggy overcooked chips. When we checked our bill we were over charged. It was corrected but we left without giving a tip.

Our family's recent visit to Black Lane Ends was an experience that went above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we walked into the last spoonful of dessert. Black Lane Ends provided a a cozy atmosphere that made our family dinner feel like a special occasion, yet homely enough to relax and enjoy the chatter and laughter that seemed to resonate throughout the pub. Food is homemade and delicious with generous portions so bring your appetite! Outstanding service from Charlotte and Charlene who greeted us with a genuine smile.

I had been looking forward the food here as it had been highly recommended by several people. However, we were far from impressed. There were 4 of us who arrived at 1pm on a Wednesday lunchtime. The pub was busy with diners as there was a 2 for 1 deal on selected January dates. 2 of our number ordered scampi. It arrived quite dark as if it had been in the deep fat frier too long. The chips were quite average and the peas arrived as the meal was 2/3 eaten. I had chicken Thai curry. The chicken was overcooked. The curry couod have had a bit more flavour.
