"Frankie & Benny's restaurant at East Kilbride's Olympia Mall Centre is fantastic. The food and service are top-notch, and the staff are incredibly friendly - it feels like a home away from home, which is why we keep coming back. The manager is wonderful, the staff are well-trained and welcoming. Make sure to say hello to Karolina, who has a delightful personality. During our visit, we were looked after by Samantha and Keith, but other team members also made us feel welcome. The menu offers a wide variety of options at great prices - we highly recommend trying their burgers. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere at this restaurant is truly exceptional, and we can't recommend it enough."

"We had not been here for a few years until last night and the set up has really changed and is more chaotic now due to no dedicated restaurant staff, they were dealing with bar and restaurant and there was not enough of them on a busy Saturday night. We had booked a table for 5 and ended up being squashed on a small table. The staff were friendly but run off their feet and we had to go to bar to order food but were given no information about how to order etc when we walked in. It has definitely changed for the worse in here. The food was OK but not fantastic."

"Gone to DiMaggios (East Kilbride many times over the years and always enjoyed the experience. 1st time back since refurb and it looks bright and family welcoming. Staff were friendly however not very attentive. Food arrived in good time considering how busy it was for Father's Day. Kids enjoyed their pizza pasta and garlic bread with just the right portion size. Wife enjoyed her pasta portion size and taste. The only disappointment of the night was my own meal. Ordered my usual full rack of BBQ ribs and it tasted as good as ever however recieved barely a half rack portion (5 rib bones . When asked if it was indeed meant to be a full rack I was answered yes. To be fair we had money removed from the bill (gratuity charge 10% however still a disappointing experience."

"Visited here yesterday with colleagues for a lunch. The restaurant was not busy, we were there for nearly hrs catching up and there were only a few tables in use but thats still to be expected at the moment I think : I...ordered Risotto Funghi and a side of garlic bread with cheese just in case the portion sizes weren’t that great, big mistake! The Risotto arrived an could probably easily have fed for lunch, my friend got the Mac n Cheese and she felt the same about hers : Definately not a complaint by any means, we were given containers to take the remainder home which was great as I hate food waste! A couple of my friends got the pizzas and they looked immense too. The crockery is really nice that was used too, like Denby style, chunky and really good quality looking. I also really liked the decor with the black painted wood plants interior, really nice. All in all, I cant recommend highly enough! The price you pay (which is very reasonable even before you see the portion sizes) for the amount you get is brilliant. Looking forward to a return visit with my fiance who had to listen to me singing Tony Mac’s praises all evening "

"Been going here for years now and had some great meals. However last visit we were hurt and disappointed in service and meal as regular diners. Phoned to book and ensured we were getting normal lunch menu. As reason we were meeting up was not a celebration, far from it tbh. Yet when we got there were told no, only allowed Christmas lunch or go a la Carte. Obviously more expensive, we said but we booked normal lunch for our guests. Got nowhere and felt quite upset and unhappy with treatment as older gent who served us seemed quite irrate and we all had difficulty in understanding his statements. Our guests did not enjoy their meal and left much of it. Portions were very small and not well presented on this occasion. It proved to be very expensive and as Christmas menu wasn’t usual dishes we ordered had to be a la carte. At no point were we asked if we enjoyed our meal as we would have said no as quite frankly it was not their usual standard. Did think they would have noticed meal wasn’t enjoyed as quite a lot left. Obviously they didn’t care either about customer satisfaction or culinary enjoyment. Really much more than disappointed in you Mata Hari we expected better. Regret taking guests there and will never recommend or patronise you again. Poor show."

"We went for a quick lunch in the bar on Saturday. The soup and wonderful sandwiches are just delicious. The atmosphere was so nice, we stayed for ages chatting to the lovely couple next to us . We had heard of how wonderful the sunday roast lunch was , so popped back in on sunday to the restaurant- we can confirm it was the best roast we have ever had The staff are so attentive and friendly . The atmosphere is relaxed and friendy and the food wonderful. Hold on to that chef's hes the best"

"We went to make an order for four dishes. I asked them whether the sauce and noodles are mixed together or not, since this would have been more convenient for us while we were travelling. She was friendly and willing to answer our questions; although, she was not entirely correct when she stated that they were, as it turned out. This would've been fine; the sauces were decent; but, the pasta was a complete and utter joke, looked a bit like a pot noodle without the water. It wasn't cooked yet somehow it was burnt. This has ruined the entire meal and we sure won’t be going back."

"The food is always freshly cooked! Unfortunately the young girl who works in the shop is a very rude and arrogant young lady! I do not appreciate my change being thrown across the counter! If you don’t enjoy your job or working with the general public then don’t, unfortunately we will not be returning due to this girl’s attitude Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20"

"We ordered from this takeaway propably around 15 times now as all other arent good at all. We order exact same food all the time we never change it. It's a shame to say the food has been good but no consistency what so ever, the food tastes diferent every single time, dishes have diferent vegetables, diferent spices, sometimes they have sauce sometimes they dont, we even get a peanuts in dishes they've not suppose to be there (not great for someone with alergy as not marked on the menu). The other week we got peanuts in chilli chips.. not sure why. As I said the food its not bad although I couldn't eat it today how disappointed I was as I wanted my favourite dish and yet again... it tasted totally different and had a different ingredients as it suppose to have. It feels like they have diferent chefs all the time or chef Is cooking the way Scottish weather is changing we all know we can get snow, sun, and rain within 1 hour. I dont like really to leave negative review but I've tried to contact the restaurant multiple times but left without any answer."

"Always a popular spot. Current restrictions have limited sitting in. The hot deli sandwiches are so tasty and highly recommended. We always opt for a mixed salad box to sample the selection as all the salads are great and full of flavour. The pastries look lovely and golden. Great value for money and definitely fast becoming a regular spot when heading to Strathaven. One thing...A better soft drink selection would be great. We get the whole artisan approach...but tbh the majority are blah or yuk! Can we just have a full fat coke please.... and from the only people really justified to call it that!? I'd rather spend all my money here than buy my lunch and then head to the co-op for a decent drink. Thanks."

"Attended recently for a family dinner we have been going here for years and it used to be a firm favourite. Firstly, on this occasion the food wasn 't to the usual high standard. Not sure if there have been staff changes in the kitchen but it just wasn 't to our liking. Which is fair enough and a matter of opinion. The main issue is what has put me off returning, and that was one of the female staff members. We had a young baby in our party, who was welcomed heartily (great start) and given a high chair. One staff member in particular was keen to make a fuss of the baby (again great) and offered her hands out to take the baby. This was politely declined. Baby was sat happily playing with a spoon which the waitress for some reason decided to come over and take from her, and then sing and clap in her face, causing the baby to cry. A short time later same waitress brought a bottle of prosecco to the table, and proceeded to hand the twisted metal and Cork to the baby (taken back promptly by childs parent). Another short time later same waitress approached the table and handed baby a prawn cracker which again was taken back with a 'no, don 't do that please ' by the parent. Same waitress then proclaimed some chips will be good for her when the food was brought to the table. She was nothing short of irritating, continually putting her hands in babies face, pushing interaction from the child. All it meant was that the babies parents could not relax, could not eat in peace and were also on high alert for the next dangerous article or inappropriate food item to be given to the baby. Whilst it is always nice to be welcomed as a family and nice to have your child admired, our whole party was shaking their heads in disbelief. I 'm afraid it has put us off returning as it was not an enjoyable or relaxing experience."

"Had Lunch this Afternoon. My Adult Son, Daughter and myself. This was at around 12:45. There were no other customers, until after we’d received our Mains. My Son, had the Lasagna and a side of Chips with a cheese and Tomato sauce topping. He said both were very good. I had the Tuscan Sausage and Bean Stew, that was topped with a healthy mound of Mashed Potatoes (not a smooth mousse paste, but a very tasty rustic and characterful style) which was good. The food was “made to order”, and was served piping hot. There was no roll or bread to accompany the dish, which would have been nice. We only had the Mains with the one side of Chips. It is for 1Course, £10 for 2 and £12 for 3. This is not fast food, so don’t be in a rush. A nice leisurely homemade Lunch, in a beautiful environment is what you’re guaranteed if you dine here. I will be back. I genuinely wanted to score 3.6 but couldn’t do so. Please give us some Bread and Butter/Olive Oil to munch on while we wait. It will make a good experience better."

"Hidden off the main road, Scottish Home Baking Awards winner 2013/ 2014, with impressive coverage in local and national papers. The Wallace Tea Rooms is large and spacious with disabled access and toilets with baby changing facilities, as well as the all important high chairs. A separate family room and additional drawing packs for children make for a more peaceful meal with young children. The cakes are unique and all baked on site, we simply had to get some to take home. The food was gorgeous and the staff were very personable and attentive. I will definitely return."

"Last night my wife and I had pre theatre menu at this restaurant, our first and last visit. There is limited parking at the rear around 10 cars. Not too sure where you would park if full. Greeted by smiling waiter and shown to our table.. Our order was delivered quickly I had a pint of lager my wife tap water with blackcurrant. Our meals were OK nothing startling. Chicken pakora, Chasni chicken, Tikka chicken. Reasonable priced £15.95 which included ice cream. All other sundries naan bread etc. were extra. It’s when we got our bill that the price for water blackcurrant which shocked me. £3.75 for tap water and a dash of blackcurrant, how on earth is this reasonable. I complained and was passed from one waiter to another but they all shook their heads and said that’s the price. As there were other diners watching and listening my wife decided to pay the bill. So, parking poor, food no more than OK, their charge for tap water and blackcurrant absolutely outrageous means we will not be back."

"I love the food from This establishment but the attitude of man in charge is absolutely diabolical and that in itself has put me ever going back again. After placing an order which was more than happy to wait over an hour and half for delivery it came and when it did it was actually not what I ordered and part of it was missing and what was there was definitely not nice . I phoned them up to let them know this and the man was nothing but rude He clearly never liked being told that he was in the wrong. I have heard this about this man before by many people In Lanark but I like to find things out for myself. I will not be back and I will be making sure everyone I know should avoid at all costs"

"Waited at the allocated area to be seated. After a fair bit of time passed, with numerous staff passing by without any kind of acknowledgement, I began to doubt I was waiting in the correct place to be allocated a seat. I approached a staff member, to be told in a curt tone to wait over at area I had stood waiting. I returned and waited …. And waited. Said staff member proceeded to serve food, clear tables and ignore the building queue of customers. I left in disgust- I’m not begging to be seated. This is NOT an isolated incident, this happened previously. Staff walk about with their eyes painted on, don’t acknowledge the waiting customers and act like you are a major inconvenience. I’ll take my business elsewhere!"

"Normally first class food until last night, my wife ordered the platter and I had Singapore fried rice and hot sour soup. My food was good as usual but my wife’s order was very over cooked and very dry . Disappointed as food from Jimmy’s is usually spot on. I’ll put this down to a one off and hope it won’t be repeated."

"for three years gone to cova, a consistent winner: freshly cooked eating, which is loaded far above the norm to the trips, and certainly overtake their surrounding competitors, which, I must emphasize, I have nothing against, and sometimes also use. but. for us it is usually cova. whether it is the breakfast menu or the normal menu, has never been disappointed, and have often been awakened. ingredients are obviously fresh and of a superior quality, well together with the attention to the presentation. also a crisp sortiment at home: scones, cake etc., all of the same high standard. I have always found the personal to be welcoming and cheerful, and even if cova busy and service can slow down a little, keep the kinen up and always have time for customers. also it speaks with covas popularity, well deserved. all in all, we are there in the average two, three times in the month, know that it is a good experience, and to crack the price-performance ratio. Thank you."

"This place is a little slice of heaven in Lanark. We have not had one bad experience in here and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Their Soup of the Day and French Onion soup never disappoint and the signature Roast Beef Pave is amazing. The service is excellent and the place is absolutely spotless. Well done and keep up the good work. We have definitely found our favourite venue for lunch. Hoping to go for brekkie tomorrow to finally try the French Toast."
