"The food in the Huntingfield Arms is excellent. The menu changes daily and is an eclectic fusion of dishes that will make choosing one difficult. I opted for the sharwarma chicken skewer which was presented beautifully. As tasty as it looked, it was excellent value for money. The landlord is friendly and chatty and I would have no hesitation in recommending his pub for a meal. The Huntingfield Arms is set in a quiet village with outdoor seating available, has a small shop inside selling some very tasty treats and is now my place of choice for eating when visiting Suffolk"

"This traditional pub, wow, great food, great service, good prices, always full and busy!! Had a really good experience at The Dennington Queen (again), and had some amazing food, but the service, everyone we dealt with couldn’t be more helpful, we had just about the right amount of attention without it being intrusive which made for a great evening. Choices were excellent, even for vegan food and they were happy for us to mix and match choices around. Cauliflower starter is insanely good, as was the sweet chilli chicken and sticky toffee pudding! Coming back again before we go home."

"Booked a table for New Years Eve having been told by staff that there would be a Live Band for entertainment On arrival and ordering waitress informed us there was no live band after all because, quote We did not get enough table bookings un quote !! Oh dear, how mercenary and not to mention drumming up trade by false pretences! The piped music was patchy at best and the seasonal decorations very thin on the ground. Don 't know if the establishment stayed open until midnight as we left before this time. Food though was excellent, there again it should be considering what one pays for it."

"This Sunday Roast is a must-try and should definitely be on your bucket list. It is one of the best we have had in Suffolk, and both adults and children loved it. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 5. We highly recommend trying the Sunday Roast when you visit this restaurant."

"Have been several times and it has always been excellent overall. However this Sunday lunch today was rather underwhelming something was missing and I’m not sure what it was, have they become a victim of their own success like so many good, new, eateries? The starters were tasty but not at the level of previous visits, same for mains too. Our main courses of half pot roasted pheasant were very tough they should’ve melted in the mouth if roasted slowly which clearly they were not. With hindsight we should’ve rejected them and chosen another dish, but with friends joining us for a birthday meal it would’ve held up their main courses. I mentioned this twice to different staff members who asked, but with not much comment but, that ‘they’d relay it to the chef.’ Puddings, again, were not as good as previously ‘heavy ginger sponge’ (my wife’s comment) and a very sweet cows curd and honey glazed walnuts concoction that I had. Was is just because of Sunday service, was the chef ‘off’ his game or was it a sous chef standing in?? Is it really too much to ask of a bill for £260.00? Disappointing."

"Only an overnight stay but made the most of our time. Looked forward to dinner and was not disappointed a high standard and a reasonable range of choice were the the wine less expensive then may have given in to a 2nd bottle, am sure there is an opportunity to entice customers by offering either an overall better price or a reduced price on the 2nd bottle? Having retired to our somewhat small room and small double bed we regretted not enquiring about size of both prior to booking. However soon it was time to go down for breakfast, nothing unusual about the offering and ingredients were all seemed to be of high quality, sadly overcooked sausages did not stand be re heated/kept warm being somewhat hard and dry. Not so sure we will return and will have to seek out alternatives in the area."

"Visited the blue naan today with my husband, we received a warm and friendly greeting from Johnny and seated straight away. Restaurant is decorated in a modern and contemporary fashion . Seating is very comfortable with lots of space between tables. We had the Sunday special buffet, there is a good range of starters, main and sides to choose from, we were offered a mixed plate of starters, which saved us having to choose, service was very prompt, good choice of starters, we were offered more starters if we wanted. Good choice of mains, from mild to very hot. I ordered lamb Jalfrezi and chicken korma, both were delicious, hubby had chicken vindaloo, he likes it hot, rice was nicely cooked and naan bread was light and fluffy. We were offered extra dishes if we wanted. Great , friendly service from all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning very soon."

"My parents have visited this restaurant multiple times and recommended it as a great place for my 30th birthday celebration! The food is amazing! The menu offers a wide variety of options and I had a hard time choosing because everything sounded delicious. I ended up ordering the Beef Croquettes with Wasabi Mayo for my starter and the beef rendang with rice for my main course. Both dishes were incredibly tasty and flavorful. I also tried the Bang Bang Cauliflower, which was also very delicious. The highlight of the meal was the apple crumble dessert, which was wonderfully sweet and sugary. While this restaurant is on the pricier side, the quality of the food makes it worth it. Thank you for making my birthday meal so special!"

"This curry house is another great find. If you’re in the area, they have been established here since around 2003 and they gave the restaurant a full upgrade during the pandemic shutdown. The first thing that you will encounter is a lovely warm, welcome, and extensive menu, which, if I was to be a tiny bit picky, I would say needs to be slimmed down quite a bit. Our waiter was super helpful and friendly, he explained a number of the special dishes, so we made our selection, and as usual we overordered. Nonetheless, the food was good, I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 simply because, one or two of the dishes weren’t as fully flavoured as I was expecting. Parking: There is a council car park directly opposite, which is free after 6 pm."

"we were on a short break in woodbridge and this restaurant was opposite our apartment. the menu was so diverse and interesting, many new curries we had not tried before. the service was fast, staff was very friendly and helpful, but above all, eating was exceptional, really amazing, it is the best curry I ever had. we went back to the next night to try another dish than we enjoyed it so much. I'm so horrified that if I want to go again, it's an hour drive for me! I would like to return to woodbridge to visit the royal bengal again."

"beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere, interesting menu with a list of specialties. we chose the cod fritters spiced cauliflower with granatapfel and duck breast with jus pomegranate and game suet pudding with port jus for net. all were excellent. we left room for Turkish delight ice cream in a tulle basket (not resist) and rice pudding with lemon curd. both new to our taste buds, not too sweet and perfect end to a wonderful meal. the owner chef ugur spoke ewer to chat with us early birds and asked us what we thought of our eating. wonderfully natural. we will soon return with friends."

"that was the high quality of eating and service that I felt forced to come back to tripadvisor to write a short review (not something I do very often). the white horse in sibton was one of the best pub meals I had eaten in memory. it is not one of these pubs that fills their plate with food, but the portion sizes were exactly the right one for us, and the quality and presentation of each plate was excellent. I chose the maple glazed pigtail starter, spiced duck atn haupt, and apple-Bvarois and donut whisper all three were excellent and immaculate in their performance. a group of five of us sat from a beautiful wood burning stove and were served by very polite and attentive staff. the pub has a nice atmosphere. highly recommended. we are not local, but would eat definitiw again."

"The Eel's is back on form. After a few years of it not being what it was, it was so good to feel it back on fire. The bar staff are so friendly and the food is so good. The haddock and chips were so good that we failed to persuade our boy that a full on fish and chip shop would be better for dinner the next night. He was right. They've got an amazing new pudding of cookie dough in an individual pan with ice cream on top. As a bonus, there's a jug of chocolate sauce. All so good and it's so good to see a return to form."

"the food was very delicious and well seasoned. my partner and I are both peskatarian and although there were more meat options on the menu, we thought it was enough for us to choose from. service was friendly and attentive. drink delicious. on the menu that I thought was a nice touch, there was a drinker of the driver. free parking is available. Although I thought it was overpriced, I would definitely recommend."

"We dropped in for lunch after visiting Framlingham Castle. It's a rambling old building and most tables in the restaurant area were already taken so we ended up in the bar which was quite cosy. I had a couple of pints of very good Timothy Taylors, my wife had some not so great Sauvignon blanc. The lunch menu wasn't anything special but the home made steak pie with mash that I chose was very good (and it did look home made). The rack of ribs were also good with a lovely sauce and the ribs just fell apart, as they should, however it was an enormous portion and came with a pile of fairly average fries. The staff were really helpful and kept checking we were OK with everything."

"Fantastic Establishment. I drop in to the Queens Head just for a beer. So glad l did, what a breath of fresh air so different from the norm! Lovely welcome, one of the owners, the Landlady even helped me find a parking place and l recieved a really nice welcome. I was asked my name and when l got inside l was introduced to the an equally welcoming group of regulars. I have now returned 4 times and l am more than happy to become a regular. There are a number of local and National beers and ciders on offer. All are extremely well kept and served by helpful and welcoming team.. The Landlady certainly knows her beers and is so knowledgable and enthusiastic about local and National Beers and Ciders. The Queens Head is like the Tardis with various rooms all individually and tastefully furnished. There is also a large well kept Garden with plenty of tables. The food offering is also different from the Norm and offers the odd fish dishe, all nicely cooked and well presented. Price wise the Queens Head is certainly very competitive to anywhere local. I live Locally and have experience a number of local hostelrese. A couple of these are fine. However if l am honest, The Queens Head will take some beating. Such a great on going experience. Regular entertainment and food themed evening. From Friday 21st until Sunday 24 September 2023. With over 25 crafted Ciders and beers. Again local and national Breweris will be represented. Sorry about this lengthy review, but the Queens head certainly deserves it. Obviously you will need to visit to enjoy the experience. I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. Dennis"

"do not write a book on his cover. this remarkably simple looking pub is a center of excellence for pub food and pub atmosphere, with a warm welcome and an amazingly varied menu of well-cooked and well presented food (and excellent beer) the environment is traditional pub, but eating is better than that. I can't recommend this place enough. Please do not miss it if you are in the Framlingham area."

"Quality wasn't the best! Chicken was that chicken roll you find down the frozen aisle, tastes like the cheap sandwich stuff. Texture was very processed and odd. Naan bread was incredibly dry. Not the best Indian around here."
"I had not been here for a year or so based on my very average food experiences in the past so I thought it was time to try it again. Mistake! Nothing has improved, just the prices have gone up. All the food is average quality at best, desserts pricey and, honestly, barely average. There are lots of other places to eat in Woodbridge and Melton and i would definiteley advise try those first."

"Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, family, dogs all so welcoming. A proper English pub, interesting people everyone so very friendly. Pool table, darts, etc children’s book and games, amazing outside garden area, very clean and very good prices. If you are in Framlingham I would 100% recommend a visit, sit back enjoy the sunshine and the atmosphere."
