"Tucked away like a hidden treasure, this restaurant may not immediately catch your eye, but trust me, it's worth a visit. It's a place that defies expectations and pleasantly surprises you. When you walk through the door, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. And when it comes to the food, like the Tagliatella Alla Panna, it's a dish that you won't forget. I eagerly anticipated my meal and when it arrived, it exceeded all expectations. The aroma alone was tantalizing, promising a medley of flavors. Each bite of the homemade pasta, tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, sweetcorn, and colorful peppers in the creamy sauce was a delight. It's a dish that deserves its spot on the menu, a culinary masterpiece that will have you craving more long after you've finished. 12/10 highly recommend!"

"Please note that this review is not directed towards any specific staff members at this restaurant franchise, as they all appeared to be extremely busy and hardworking. However, I believe that Pizza Express as a company is solely focused on maximizing profits, rather than providing high-quality food and positive customer experiences. The tables are arranged so closely together that it can feel uncomfortable and cramped. Additionally, the prices of the menu items are excessively high. I have encountered difficulties using Tesco vouchers on multiple occasions. Due to feeling overcharged and frustrated on several occasions, I have decided not to patronize any Pizza Express restaurants in the future. Furthermore, it is important to note that if they claim you can use your remaining Tesco balance on your next visit, this is incorrect. Pizza Express keeps the difference, causing both the customer and Tesco to lose out."

"My friend and I met up in Hale for pizza/pasta Piccolino and Cibo seemed a little too dressy for lunch, Dante appeared a bit quiet, and then I found an O2 Priority offer on my phone: 2 mains at Pizza Express for £10! We headed inside and the restaurant was busy for a weekday with quite a few tables occupied, including a party of mums and their five children. I would have liked to have sat round the back where it was a little quieter, but the waiter clearly wanted to seat us near the front windows (maybe to create the impression of business?? . It was a little cramped, but fine. We were served by a waiter who was clearly experienced, very efficient, and never made us feel rushed, but lacking in a smile...ahaha : My friend ordered the vegan pizza and I ordered the legarra penne but asked for it with aubergine, courgettes and mushrooms in addition to the peppers that come in it. (I later found out that I had been charged an additional £4 for these ‘extras’, which kind of negated the whole point of visiting Pizza Express for a £5 lunch, but oh well, at least they were accommodating . Table water and a Coke Zero were both brought out very swiftly, and the food was quick to arrive too, even though the waiter had actually informed us beforehand that there was only ONE chef to cook for the whole restaurant!! My pasta was beautifully garnished with rocket on top (which I usually don’t eat but I mixed it into the pasta and it was delicious and, most importantly, absolutely PIPING hot (maybe because the bowl was warm, which is very important too !! I could tell that the pasta had been cooked al dente (as it should be as a couple of pieces of penne were ever so slightly hard, but, on the whole, this pasta was absolutely delicious. The portion was generous, the sauce wonderfully thick and ever so slightly spicy (in a good way , and the chef had managed to pack in lots of vegetables for me. My friend also enjoyed her pizza I had a couple of bites of the crust myself and the dough was as good as ever. Even though my additional requests for the pasta and my friend’s Coke Zero prevented us from paying only £10 for lunch, the bill still came to less than £17 in total, which I think was excellent value for such fast service, an accommodating kitchen, generous portions and delicious food!! If you’re in Hale and fancy a more casual Italian, I reckon Pizza Express is your best bet."

"As others have mentioned, this restaurant is not cheap and the portions are not large. However, the flavors in the sauces are exceptional and make the price worth it. After living in China for 2 years, I can say that these flavors are among the best I have experienced in Chinese cooking. The service was pleasant and attentive, and the decor was pleasing. The walk to the toilets and the facilities themselves could use some improvement, as there were grease stains on the stairs and cobwebs in the bathroom. The roast pork was a bit tough, but the duck and cod fish were outstanding. Despite the smaller portion sizes, we both felt satisfied. The desserts were average, but the "Ice Gateau" was disappointing as it was just a slice of Vienetta with two wafers. Overall, this restaurant may be a bit pricey for a casual Chinese meal or takeaway, but it is great for a special occasion like a birthday where we enjoyed a high standard of Chinese cooking."

"Visited the pub Saturday and the staff were very nice, Neil and Jen were very helpful on the bar and the food made by Chloe was very good. We ordered gins all round and there was a deal for food 5 small plates for cheap and we couldn’t resist. Overall an excellent experience for me and my friends I hadn’t seen for a while and definitely will be coming back. Nice to see a well managed pub "

"It was my birthday when I was staying at The Belmore. I didn't mention it, but the gentleman at the reception noticed my brooch and I confirmed that I had just received it for my birthday. When we returned to the hotel for dinner, there was a birthday card on the table. I was then offered a glass of Prosecco, and at the end of our meal, they brought out a cake with a candle in it. These small gestures really made my birthday special."

"Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your Media City restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and Menu There is a simple menu that includes all the Italian and American classics that people love to eat. The choices are limited however it does cater for a range of diners from the Meat lover to the Vegetarian. In the Starters there is a Garlic Pizza Bread that is tasty with a great Garlic aroma. There is also American Style Nachos with Jalpenos and all the sauces to dip into. It also has Calamari, Ribs and the Chicken Crunch too. In the Mains there is a great selection of Pizzas with good flavours. There are also additional toppings that you can add for an extra charge. There is also a decent variety of Steak, Pasta and Salad dishes for those that fancy those too. For the Burger fan there are some Beef Burgers and a Chicken one too. There is also a wide variety of sides that are a great addition to your meal from Chips, Sweet Potato Fries to Onion Rings and Garlic Bread too. For those with a sweet tooth then there is a selection of popular Desserts including the Warm Chocolate Brownie, Cheesecake and, Tiramisu that is creamy and indulgent to eat. If you like cold Desserts then there is Ice Cream and the Knicker Bocker Glory. For the Starters the Garlic Pizza Bread was tasty however it was too crispy and crunchy to eat. It is usually soft and scrumptious to eat. The Calamari was pleasant to eat but could have been cooked better as it was a bit rubbery to eat. The Chicken Crunch was delicious. It was cooked nicely and the Mayonnaise dip went well with it. For the Mains the Chicken Fillet Burger was well cooked and it was beautifully presented. It was tasty and heart-warming to eat. The Salad and the Mayo added more flavour otherwise it would have been bland just having Chicken inside a Burger Bap. The Sweet Potato Fries were comforting to eat. They were crispy on the outside and were soft on the inside. I love how they are presented in a small pan dish. Cute. The Onion Rings were OK but they broke apart every time I ate them. This suggests that they should have been cooked better to give them a solid texture and stop them breaking. The Dessert was the stand out course of the dinner. The Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream was lovely in I ts presentation. The Brownie was cooked to perfection. It was not hard to eat or runny with gooey and indulgent Chocolate. Heaven. The Ice Cream was great too as it cut through the richness of the Chocolate adding texture. Drinks They have a good selection of soft drinks which include all the popular ones to have. There is also a small variety of juices on offer too. However they do not serve non-alcoholic Mocktails. Service The service was good. Our waitress was friendly, welcoming and attentive. She gave us the time to choose our dishes. Her suggestions for food were spot on. It was good that the food came out pretty quickly and it was beautifully presented. Lighting and Access The lighting at this restaurant was pretty bright which allows for an enloyable meal for most people including those with visual impairments. Entry to this restaurant is at the Holiday Inn Hotel to which there is a small step to enter into the building. Once inside there is both stairs and lifts to get to the Mezzazine floor. This is where you will find the restaurant. Furniture The furniture here is brilliant. I love the big tables which are spacious. The chairs are big and are comfortable which gives a relaxed ambiance so that you can dine in style. Parking Parking is available at the Quayside Media City UK multi-storey car park (formerly The Lowry). If you are a Blue Badge holder then you will get 4 free hours when stamping your ticket. This takes effect from the time of arrival. Alternatively you can park at the Media City multi-storey which is closer to the venue. Pricing The pricing of the dishes at this restaurant are mid range to fine dining standard. However it is worth it especially if the waiters are good, the food is tasty and that it is beautifully presented. If you love to eat Italian and American food within a relaxed atmosphere then head down to your local Marco’s"

"Very lovely indeed. On arrival we were presented with a set lunch menu, which was very limited for my friend who is Vegan. We had perused the full menu online and worked out what she could have before we booked. Despite this the manager and chef went out of their way to accommodate. We ended up with a scrummy meal (even I went for the vegan option he presented to us) and will definitely return, especially as we were told the menu will be becoming even more vegan and gluten intolerant friendly! Nice place, great staff, and nice and local. Thumbs Up!"

"Burgers have been terrible the last two occasions. The beef has obviously not been de-gristled before mincing. It’s also minced on too big a mincer plate, so you get the gristle in your mouth. Very tough also. Flavour non existent. It really is a burger that needs completely reworking from, meat, mincer, flavour, toppings. Staff can also be up their own backside, they act like they are changing the world, they are flipping burgers."

"We stumbled upon this fab place on our last night of vacation before heading out to Manchester Airport. Packed with local folks, along with their dogs. Super friendly people. Lots of pies to choose from, both vegetarian and meat. Interesting brews available as they were doing a little 'Oktoberfest ' promotion. Highly recommend. I would go back on our next trip!"

"I am from Arizona, but I served a Mormon mission here back in 1980 and this was the one place that had the best burgers in the world better than any that I have in America. And so literally I’ve been coming back for 43 years to this same place and same location. Their hamburgers and onion rings are second to none. And the lady that’s been serving us has been there 27 years, that’s crazy. When we bring my kids over and grandkids this is their favorite stop, we purchase takeout and then we walk across the street to the picnic tables and enjoy the best burgers around."

"New owners, so was worried with my O.C.D as I used to work for them and so know exactly how each dish should be. They are spot on with every dish, no matter how demanding my requests are and ingredients always so fresh unlike before, which was hit and miss). Everyone so friendly that I don't even ring ahead of time. Will accomadate any needs/ requirements and so polite. Food is amazing. Smaller menu now but suppose stops them putting prices up and will make you what you want anyway, so no difference really. Would highly reccomnded. So much more professional than before but still the same great food. Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from. Used to make curry with meat stock, but assured it's completely vegetarian now, as the guy checked with the chefs for me. Dietary restrictions: They double check with chefs about vegetarian/ allergies/ preferences. Parking: Good parking Kid-friendliness: Good with kids Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"

"I decided to stop by Sugo on a whim, even though I know you usually need to make a reservation. However, they were happy to accommodate us. I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at Sugo, and the staff is friendly without being intrusive. I ordered the Sugo House, which consisted of slow-cooked beef shin and pork shoulder with orecchiette in a spicy n’duja sauce. My husband had the Strozzapreti with Tuscan sausage, wild rocket pesto, oven-roasted tomatoes, and parmesan. We also ordered a side dish of tenderstem broccoli with parmesan, breadcrumbs, and garlic, which was perfectly cooked. Although the menu had changed since our last visit, we were not disappointed at all. It was the perfect end to our walk on a beautiful autumn day."

"First time I visited Common Ground and had no idea what a great selection of food there was. I went for the Veggie Breakfast, even though I’m not a vegetarian, everything sounded lovely on it. Lovely thick slice of freshly baked bread toasted with 2...poached eggs, mushrooms, halloumi, hash brown, beans, grilled tomatoes and avocado. My friend had the clean breakfast which had smoked salmon, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, 2 poached eggs. I also ordered a cup of tea which was made with loose tea leaves. Such a lovely place will be definitely be visiting again"

"I've been drinking a hot coffee I haven't had yet. served with a small glass water, as they are on the continental, which is a beautiful note. my girlfriend was about to go in a night, so had a prise peroni, nice, in the position to get both a good coffee and alcohol. the coffee was very good and the staff is very pleasant, the general feeling is relaxed and decorate bright and trendy. I'll come back to try the food."
"I have dined at this restaurant twice and the food was very good both times, but the service was a bit overwhelming. There was only one waitress working for the entire restaurant and she seemed to be extremely busy. I felt sorry for her as she was running around trying to keep up. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for dessert because we could only park in the parking lot for one and a half hours."

"This place is full of charm, my sister called ahead to book a table as their was going to be 4 adults and 3 kids (3year old, 1 1 2 10month old) and one of the adults is disabled with bad mobility issues.Great job we did too because when we got there it was packed to say the least The service was lovely, it was like it was being run by friends which was nice, we ordered our meals and drinks and I learnt they don’t do fried egg (no an issue for me) they said they could do poached instead which I’ve never tried before. The food was all lovely (I’d ordered a sausage and egg sandwich skinny latte) the bread was so nice as was the sausages! My grandma and Auntie ordered the Potato and leek soup with cheese sandwich and they enjoyed it commenting what a great food portion they had! My sister was a tuna panini which she enjoyed, the kids food was just as good. The cafe was wonderfully decorated! Clean and open, sofas and soft seats, decent baby chairs (which had the option of a cushion) outside was also tables and chairs for the nicer days, they have an awning which was nice to see. The kids play area was brilliant a great selection of toys and seating for them. And the on-site bathroom baby change was a little cosy as the baby change was a pull down once the door was closed (they made good use of the space) with 2 bins for nappies (it was over flowing when I went in as it was a busy day with babies) but it was nice that they had tissues on offer on the shelf as well as a nappy bagsI would defiantly come again."
