"As others have mentioned, this restaurant is not cheap and the portions are not large. However, the flavors in the sauces are exceptional and make the price worth it. After living in China for 2 years, I can say that these flavors are among the best I have experienced in Chinese cooking. The service was pleasant and attentive, and the decor was pleasing. The walk to the toilets and the facilities themselves could use some improvement, as there were grease stains on the stairs and cobwebs in the bathroom. The roast pork was a bit tough, but the duck and cod fish were outstanding. Despite the smaller portion sizes, we both felt satisfied. The desserts were average, but the "Ice Gateau" was disappointing as it was just a slice of Vienetta with two wafers. Overall, this restaurant may be a bit pricey for a casual Chinese meal or takeaway, but it is great for a special occasion like a birthday where we enjoyed a high standard of Chinese cooking."

I decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim while visiting Manchester to watch my son run the marathon. We were able to get a table for two and received excellent service. The food was delicious and we couldn't find any faults with our experience.

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
