"Very disappointed with the level of service of service and the limited choice of main courses and the extortionate prices of drinks, long wait for service and only marginally interested staff. Drinks sat on the bar for at least 20 minutes before they were eventually put on our table. The Old Bank appears to have only a choice of 5/6 main courses and whilst the burgers were acceptable they came with cheap deep fried chips and no other accompaniments no presentation. One member of our party ordered a Buddha bowl which should not have been served – a few cheap tinned beans, peas, frozen spinach, kimchi or such like – at a cost of £12.95 which could only have cost £2.00 max to put together. There was no roasted butternut squash, dressing and the brown rice needed to go in the bin; we never saw any fresh sugar snap peas or hummus – everything had come out of a tin and was not ‘fresh’. £17.00 for a cheeseburger with frozen chips, no salad and no presentation, BUDDHA BOWL £12.95); roasted butternut squash, Cajun chickpeas? really!, sugar snaps, harissa hummus, sweet corn and hazelnut mirin dressing with brown rice and pumpkin seeds?? all tinned and very unlikely.... CHEESEBURGER beef patty, mayonnaise, gherkins, American cheese, diced onion, no mustard no ketchup and triple cooked chips? – deep fried frozen chips to be sure... If The Old Bank is advertising as a brunch outlet; it may serve but certainly must be one of the most expensive unappealing presented in London. All in all, a very disappointing experience Added to insult was the most expensive cheap sauvignon blanc costing we discovered too late nearly £14.00 per glass!! outrageous – it was not even pleasant! The only other offering was a pinot grigio. We would not recommend The Old Bank as a Fullers outlet. There was no ambiance and ghastly rubbish 'pop ' music played loudly through the speakers... With all the competition in Northcote Road this is a place to be avoided."

"a qualified yes. That's nice. it is also a huge place. a series of large rooms that seem to go up and down. so it was easy to find a table, they will serve them wherever it seems. what, while great, makes them wonder how this works in practice (i.e. when there are many people who order at once on Sunday afternoon etc.) we were there on a Thursday night, it was quite quiet and we were thrilled for three courses. interestingly, there is a series of quite challenging main courses and the obvious rib eye steak. the only thing you sell. not very adventurous people in tooting or an estimate of the rest of the menu? the code absolutely beautiful. great piece fish beautifully cooked. desert was made to house, I had lemon meringue (average,) hungry ben went with the chocolate pot, which was on order with what we later recognized was an otopology for what was to achieve. chocolate sauce, not even slightly adjusted. it was removed without consultation (out of sight and out of account). the starter? quite unnoticed and by paying. What am I supposed to say here? its of atic, the people behind a lot of such london boozers including balham bowls club and the tramshed. this place looks like an independant start up, well to appreciate with a few processes when it looks like a ok meal. it wasn't cheap. if they are viewed as the latest offer from an established chain, their view might be somewhat different. I'm going with the earlier. a second look."

"Despite living close by, I hadn 't been to this pub for many years. Recently due to my usual spot being closed I decided to give it a try. I was blown away by the really excellent cooking and lovely service and raved about it to my wife. Last night we went back there for dinner. It was Monday night and we were the only two customers. The waitress was sweet but a little on the ditzy side, forgetting a drinks order for about 15 minutes and then going to ask a question about desserts to the kitchen and not coming out for ten minutes till we had to go and ask them ourselves through the hatch. The food (that we ate was good but the main issue was that literally six items that we tried to order were not on the menu. 'Oh, we are waiting for some orders to come ' was the waitresses only explanation. These items constituted over a third of the menu, four of which were our initial preferred choices so she had to come back three times and didn 't even really know what was on or off o the menu and had to keep going back to the till or the kitchen to ask. We came to the place with so much goodwill and anticipation but probably will not be coming back now as if you 're going to charge £140 for dinner for two with a relatively modest drinks order (two glasses each , then you can 't have such gaping holes in what you 're offering. There was no management in evidence so we had to politely tell the waitress of the end of our disappointment. I think someone with a little more autonomy might have made some sort of gesture towards the bill but that was unforthcoming. That 's not what we came in looking for by any means but might have helped us as a gesture. As it is, all that credit accrued is blown away especially to two locals that were genuinely intending to make it a regular visit. So disappointing."
