"Please note inaccuracies on the website… Kids eat free is NOT available. We were charged for our child’s meal even when we said we had gone there specially for the kids eat free as advertised on the website. Saturday opening time 12.00 noon is NOT correct, we were told 1pm opening time. We were allowed in at 12 but the door was locked behind us! Manager was rude when these inaccuracies pointed out. Restaurant seems badly run and the manager poorly and scruffily presented. We filled in the online form to complain but this has been ignored. Finally, we were both extremely ill with vomiting after visiting this restaurant which has put us off ever visiting Franco Manca again. This is a shame as we have been frequent and happy customers of various other Franco Manca restaurants for many years"

"this former dig of natwest is now a fullers pub and it certainly benefits from the high ceilings and great space. I went on a Sunday afternoon and expected it to heaving, especially in consideration of its first-class position on the northcote road, but I was pleasantly surprised, although in hinting that this is a good indication of the quality of the place. they offer 3 meats for their Brat beef, pork and huh and I decided to go with the bark. Unfortunately they do not ask how they want it served and it was slightly over boiled for my taste. the portions are hearty and will fill the greatest appetite, but I was underwhelmed by the meal, as I had better elsewhere, in patrik at jam tree...read more"

"I recently hosted a celebration for my cancer remission at The Althorp on December 9th, with approximately 60 guests, and I cannot praise them enough. The entire team at The Althorp ensured that my evening was absolutely perfect! I particularly enjoyed ‘The Common Room’, located at the back of the pub with its own facilities. We were able to play our own music, creating the ideal atmosphere for the night. Despite the private bar not having beer taps or soda guns, it was never an issue as there were plenty of bartenders at the main bar to quickly serve us. Another great aspect was that the booking only required a minimum spend, which was a relief as I was unable to pay hire fees for a non-Christmas party. I highly recommend The Althorp for future events. The food was delicious, with our guests quickly devouring the selection of canapés. The Yorkshire pudding roasties were especially outstanding! I would definitely return just for another meal. Thank you to the entire team for making my night so special. I will always be grateful."

"Just order the chips. We ordered the sharing board with lamb riblets, buttermilk chicken, shredded pork shoulder, etc. The lamb riblets were shredded not what I was expecting, but fine, though if you’re going to shred the ribs get rid of the bones please. The chicken strips were tasteless and pale. The sausage roll looked and tasted as if it was from a few days back was so so so dry so I didn’t actually mind the tiny portion on this so called sharing board. The bread was also stale it wasn’t toasted but was dry enough and crunchy enough to make you think it just hit the toaster. Slaw and pork were decent. We also ordered the apple, roasted plum, almond and watercress salad for £6.50. We got a roasted plum and rocket salad nowhere near the £6.50 price tag. I told the waiter who then told me that he had no time to update the app (not my fault) but given they had printed menus, a simple solution would be to cross it out or simply tell people after they ordered that they don’t have the ingredients available. In telling the waiter to understand my disappointment and that it was nowhere near the £6.50 tag, I was told I’d get a refund. I’m still waiting for my refund and given I paid on the app, I doubt you were actually going to give it to me. Overall poor experience. I do live two minutes away should you wish to give me my refund."

"I visited this pub for a hair show and found the atmosphere to be very relaxed. The events room had low lighting, so it's recommended to bring a ring light or use a friend's phone for flash photography. The toilets were aesthetically pleasing, but could use more regular cleaning as they had a noticeable odor. The event itself was fantastic! The drinks were a bit expensive though."

"I've known this pub for nigh on forty years and it never fails to please. Our party of nine enjoyed a very long and pleasant mid-week Xmas lunch that stretched into the early evening courtesy of Adele and her colleagues. The food was of restaurant standard but very generously portioned. The real ale, wine and spirit options were reasonably extensive, moderately priced and most importantly promptly delivered whenever we ran dry."

"Café Ole is a cosy yet spacious café with some outside space, located very conveniently next to Clapham Junction Station and bus stops, making it easy to pick up your coffee and pastries. The staff are friendly and polite and I like the decor. Best thing is that the coffee is reasonably priced, beating coffee chains like Costa and Nero!! They do know how to make the machiato to my liking! The only reason I did not give 5* rating is because during Tier 4 lockdown I found more than 6 people at the tables indoors. I am not sure if they were staff me3, but unlikely for so many to be there during closing hours."

"The restaurant's charming brick and wood interior, converted from the old railway station ticket hall, exudes character. It's an ideal spot for enjoying a few glasses of wine with friends. The drink prices are reasonable and the service is friendly."
"Not our first time here. When I ordered a winter warmer it had to be half guiness and half winter warmer but the bar tender said they don't serve it that way. I had a gin and tonic in a normal glass and that just p d me off. Weatherspoon can do better. I went opposite Tooting Broadway Market Graveney's Gin on a proper Gin Glass. It's also expensive here our drinks Winter warmer and a double Gin and tonic came to £20:40."

"During the busy holiday season, finding a last-minute spot for a work Christmas dinner can be challenging. However, the Antelope in Poole not only accepted our late reservation but welcomed us warmly, turning what could have been a hectic evening into a delightful festive experience. The restaurant's warm and festive ambiance immediately set the tone for the evening, with tasteful decorations creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere perfect for celebrating the holidays with a group. The culinary experience was exceptional, with each dish, from appetizers to desserts, being a delight. The chefs clearly put thought and care into the menu, accommodating a variety of tastes and dietary preferences to ensure everyone at the table was pleased. The standout feature, however, was the impeccable service. Despite our last-minute booking, the staff was incredibly accommodating, efficient, and friendly, making us feel like valued regulars. The value for money was also impressive, with high-quality food and exceptional service at a reasonable price. The presentation of the dishes added an extra touch of class to the meal, enhancing the overall dining experience. The Antelope's professionalism and grace in handling a last-minute booking left a lasting impression on us all. The combination of the inviting atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and great value has secured The Antelope as a favorite spot for future festive seasons. We are eager to return and continue enjoying the wonderful experience that this restaurant has to offer."

"We found this place online and decided to take the bus to have breakfast. It was worth the trip. We even went there the next day too. It has good ambiance, really cool and friendly owner. Really good guy. Although his crew is quite new, the breakfasts were well cooked and just delicious. This place gives you a good value for money in London. There’s also lot’s of choice in types of breakfast and take out. I saw people from many different countries travellers eating there."

"I remember this place being very good but, judged on my latest experience, things have gone down hill somewhat. The menu is still varied, with plenty of vegetarian options, and the service is friendly, if decidedly slow. The coffee and juices were excellent, but we were all (four of us) rather disappointed with the easily countable number of fries served with the quesadillas my quesadilla was of below average quality and only lukewarm. Our side order of calamari, when it eventually came (we had to ask for it twice), consisted of a paltry three rings, accompanied by a sad looking bit of salad this for about a fiver, I recall. The extra portion of fries we ordered was again small and slow to arrive and when we drew the inadequate portion size to the attention of the waiter we were told a little dismissively that this was normal. To his credit, he brought us another portion of fries and one extra ring of squid on the house. I'm not a serial complainer and offer this review in the genuine hope that things improve to the level at which they they used to be."

"I came here with a few friends for a quiet reunion drink one Friday evening. We had a friend visiting from abroad, we were in the neighborhood and liked the look of The Pig and Whistle. It's laid out nicely, with a good amount of seating and a decent selection of beers and spirits on offer as well. Staff were also friendly enough. Before long, we were all enjoying a beer and catching up with each other. My big issue was when I went up to get a few drinks a couple of hours in. We weren't going to be staying out much longer so I thought I'd switch to spirits. I ordered a double whisky for myself (Talisker, neat), a G&T (double Bombay sapphire) and a pint of ale. This came to £27.30. I must not have heard the bar lady at the time or I would have questioned this, but I was naturally shocked when I saw this on my receipts later on. I've been to pubs in Central London where I could have gotten all of the above for considerably less. I know that Youngs pubs are often a bit pricier but I thought that was pushing it. I don't know if the bar staff made a mistake or if it really is that pricey, but I certainly was not expecting that from a local pub on the outskirts of Wimbledon. I'd be happy to discuss this with a manager or member of staff from the pub, but as it stands I'm still left with a very bitter aftertaste and will not be returning."

"Super family friendly, awesome helpful staff, spacious and cute. Food is amazing! Great selection of beers, real ales and wines. Brought us crayons and books and paper. Ideal for early dinner with 2 kids. Fish and chips are some of the best I’ve had and the malt vinegar is artisan; such a nice little touch."

"Despite living close by, I hadn 't been to this pub for many years. Recently due to my usual spot being closed I decided to give it a try. I was blown away by the really excellent cooking and lovely service and raved about it to my wife. Last night we went back there for dinner. It was Monday night and we were the only two customers. The waitress was sweet but a little on the ditzy side, forgetting a drinks order for about 15 minutes and then going to ask a question about desserts to the kitchen and not coming out for ten minutes till we had to go and ask them ourselves through the hatch. The food (that we ate was good but the main issue was that literally six items that we tried to order were not on the menu. 'Oh, we are waiting for some orders to come ' was the waitresses only explanation. These items constituted over a third of the menu, four of which were our initial preferred choices so she had to come back three times and didn 't even really know what was on or off o the menu and had to keep going back to the till or the kitchen to ask. We came to the place with so much goodwill and anticipation but probably will not be coming back now as if you 're going to charge £140 for dinner for two with a relatively modest drinks order (two glasses each , then you can 't have such gaping holes in what you 're offering. There was no management in evidence so we had to politely tell the waitress of the end of our disappointment. I think someone with a little more autonomy might have made some sort of gesture towards the bill but that was unforthcoming. That 's not what we came in looking for by any means but might have helped us as a gesture. As it is, all that credit accrued is blown away especially to two locals that were genuinely intending to make it a regular visit. So disappointing."

"I always thought all bar one existed in to drink twenty dinges and 'on the train' on a Saturday night. I think this is still a big part of ab1, but it is now a good place for people to go for coffee during the day and it is now a decent place for vegan to go, as there is a good number of vegan options on the menu. at the time when I went, they offered two courses for 10,95 or three courses for 13,95 from a set menu so there was hardly an avocado on the bruschetta completely overpowered by the salsa . the laska was decent, but a bit slandered. the sorbet was good. So overall, I would say that eating in the set menu was nothing special. the battersea all bar one is located on the lively northcote road near clapham junction station. like most ab1s there is much space inside. it was all good and it is a surprisingly good place to go to dinner. I will be back to try more from the menu, but not the top brands for now. updated by the previous review on 2018 09 06"

"After attempting to pop in for a quick nightcap after finishing my 12 hour shift at the bar I work at in central, I was rudely whacked in the stomach by a woman mid conversation with two guys having a cigarette outside. I initially thought she was part of their group, just having a conversation so tried to get past to enter the venue but I was struck in the stomach. This is absolutely unacceptable! If this is the way you treat your customers then I dread to think what happens on the inside of this venue. The woman claimed she was a manager on the door but as a small woman in a plain black T-shirt, she just looked like the other drunk people outside and as a manager, she should absolutely know not to strike a customer!!! As someone who also manages a bar, I really think you need to investigate this and certainly make your welcome into your site a bit better…"

"Having recently discovered the joys of a traditional British Sunday roast, my partner and I can't seem to get enough. Especially as the weather gets colder and the days shorter, we find comfort in gathering around a cozy fire with a hearty Sunday roast. During a recent visit to The Northcote in Battersea, we were welcomed with a decadent Bloody Mary setup at our table that immediately won us over. We both enjoy a good Bloody Mary, and with its blend of tomato juice, citrus, and seasonings, it almost feels like a healthy choice. Alongside two generous glasses of vodka, there was a large jug of tomato juice, Tabasco sauce, and more. Despite the chilly weather, our lazy Sunday at The Northcote was warm and inviting, and we left feeling satisfied and content."

"The muffins, croissants, and other baked goods are tasty and it's a bonus that they are organic. They have a wide selection of coffee, smoothies, and juices to choose from. The hot food is good but it's best to get there early as it is served canteen style and doesn't change often. The seating area has expanded and is always busy. It may be a bit pricey if you're not too concerned about eating organic, but there are plenty of cheaper options in Wandsworth. The convenience store in the same space is a nice perk for organic lovers. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you're a member of a local gym, you can receive a 10% discount by showing your membership card."
