The Jolly Gardeners

I started coming to Jolly Gardeners at noon after my NCT class, there are some places in Putney where there is no problem eating with other mums.

The British call it Sunday lunch .They basically have a dinner style cure for lunch. British friend #1: So what did you end up ordering Chun? Chun P.:

Great place to spend some time with friends in a garden house. Good selection of beer, delicious food and good portions (because the cauliflower cheese was a good reputation). Like a village pub in town. I hope you're back.

more drinks than eat here. the offer of ales and beer changes frequently and the atmosphere is always beautiful and jovial. eating is another story. it seems ok on the menu, but the presentation and taste is missing something. okay, it's a pub, but for the prices should eat better. it's just a little. murgh!

Nice pub from Putney High Street. Love gardening decor inside, and the garden outside is sunny and protected with cute cottages. Chicken and chorizo main was delicious and they have a good selection of drinks. You also have many projectors to show football when it counts! The service was also very good and friendly. Come on! I loved this pub. They have these cool huts with heating perfect now that js getting chilly) that make it safe and give you privacy. The toilets were sparkling clean and service was superb. The wine list is quite interesting, and food is fine. Mostly pub options and a few more interesting ones with a good presentation. Overall, highly recommended during corona times!

Had a truly one off experience at the Jolly Gardner today excellent service (particularly by Wendy who talked me through the IPAs in such detail that I felt like a true beer connoisseur!! . The roast pork was divine and with the Cauliflower cheese it made for an amazing Sunday lunch : overall 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a good pub experience in Putney!

I've known this pub for nigh on forty years and it never fails to please. Our party of nine enjoyed a very long and pleasant mid-week Xmas lunch that stretched into the early evening courtesy of Adele and her colleagues. The food was of restaurant standard but very generously portioned. The real ale, wine and spirit options were reasonably extensive, moderately priced and most importantly promptly delivered whenever we ran dry. View menu
