"Booked a meal for 6.30am got a drink at the bar and the bar person argued when I asked for a receipt. Hadn't been approached to order by 7am so I called a server over and asked if we could order as we had been there for over half an hour. The meals didn't arrive till about 8.30!! Apparently people who turned up without booking were seen to first unexpectedly. 2.5hours to eventually get your food is grossly unacceptable. The food was fine so not a one star."

"Before you go shopping on call to avoid buying near lidl when you're hungry! I had six inches in vegetarian bread 9 patty grain wheat as I saw it is rich in calcium and Vit D. This Metro is well organized the salad is fresh and the staff are in the ball! I had the special with a drink and a snack a whim in a donut and tea. You donut a little soft, but since it was practically free like 4 pounds. 50 when tea is £1 and £3 subway. 50 I can't complain. Clean tables. Easy parking."

"The staff were lovely and could not do more however, there were only 2 staff on and they were very harassed although they their best not to show it. The starter was excellent but The prime burger was very dry with a very sad piece of lettuce and tomatoe on it.. the chips were lukewarm. The dessert was average and we were only offered other drinks quite a while after we had eaten. We decided not to stay for tea and coffee. We used to eat here very regularly and always at Christmas but I don’t think we will be back for quite some time."

"for a super tasty and fresh, kebab or pizza made for them, right in front of their eyes, this must be the best that they in warrington (and they deliver) only clean personal and business. there are so much meat and salat in a standard kebab the lid on the box not closed when hunger, I find a standard kebab is about as much as I want to give them starving. billy, 2022. 04/06/22, welcomed papa john pizza shop, looked at the menu, 16.50 pence for a 10 inch hot spicy pizza, (too expensive) returned to Turkish to taste their pizza, for the first time wow 8.20 pence for exactly the same pizza. that was not a pizza plate, it was a firm, tasty cheese and toppings. that must be the best eating in the warrington and surroundings. why double pay for something that is unbeatable for quality, taste and value for money. Turkish joy for me every day what a super eating experience, thanks, billy."

"This was the third time we came to the Smoke House and I have to say firstly the positive points: Very nice clean restaurant Ambiance is very good Staff very friendly Not so good points: I came for a family occasion and my wife, children and I were taken into a back area seating when there was plenty at the front and this area was cold (not sure why we were seated there) Starter of Italian sausage was warm, not too hot, and sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Main meal took way too long to arrive (The waitress apologised for the very slow service) Ordered a 1 1/2 rack of ribs which were over cooked or old meat not sure which but even my 10 year old who loves eating ribs said it was chewy and tasted awful (if they had been as they should have, then probably the waiting time may have not been such an issue) I was not asked how I liked my burger cooked, but to be fair I never said either, but it arrived like it had been blow torched to a cinder and the lettuce on it was old discoloured (I did mention this to the waiter on the way out) The order of nachos classic was more just nachos with very little of anything else. Now, to be fair, i would say that the last time times we visited the waiting time was not so long and only issue we had was that we had to point out we were overcharged which was corrected immediately. The staff are extremely friendly so this is more about the restaurant experience as a whole. Way to expensive for the quality of food. Thank you"

"Went for an afternoon tea, food was ready for when we got there, everything tasted freshly prepared and we were served immediately with tea. Price wise for what we got and service provided was absolutely perfect only £12 per head. The food included a selection of sandwiches, scones (with cream and jam) sausage rolls, pies and then few different options of cakes and of course UNLIMITED tea or coffee. Set up wise the table was ready, very neat, tidy and clean for when we arrived and all utensils an plates we needed were already on the table so no waiting required. Would definitely recommend the afternoon package and also have been for standard menu before so would recommend that too."

"Returned back here, as we have had good meals in the past, ordered the tandoori starter which was quite small compared to previous visits and wife ordered the fish starter which was very oily. The mains were not great either! Lamb vindaloo was paultry and wife's salmon course had been deep fried and was drowned in oil again, the waiter was constantly coming over trying to strike up conversation which was OK but when your eating a little refrain would have been appreciated"

"Visited the Red Lion on a very rare sat evening when the family were all off together. Received very good service from alovleh lady I think here name was Sue. We placed the order which was quite complicated as my children are very fussy,and the order was received exactly as requested. The Sharing Platter was excellent value for money and very tasty.My husband Steak was cooked to perfection as not many establishments can get a blue steak right. My Son enjoyed his chicken fillet burger so much he ordered another one. If you want good food at a reasonable price and excellent service you wont go wrong here. Thank You Red Lion Staff for a wonderful evening."

"This place used to be ok for a quick lunch whilst travelling through Warrington, however, when visiting recently I found It was filthy. There was thick dust everywhere next to our table, I thought It must be a one off? but on the return journey a few days later, It was still there. It looked like a few months worth of dust build-up. I'm not sure if they even have a cleaner? No wonder this place only has a 2 Hygiene rating. I shall not be returning anytime soon :"

"Quite a nice looking place for a weatherspoons I ordered a drink and the glass just stunk of washing up liquid which put me off drinking it Majority of the staff were really friendly except the one big tall guy who was taking drinks and food out (I assume is the manager or works in the kitchen) has zero customer service skills, just grunts and doesn't acknowledge customers I did have to ask about drinks that I ordered 20 minutes ago which was promptly delivered to my table"

"First time order from this takeaway and it won't be the last. Curry's were full of flavour and loads of chicken, we had Dupiaza and Bhuna, both were very tasty. Mushroom rice is delicious but the Keema rice is the best I have ever tasted, just perfect. Onion Bhaji was authentic and delicious and the perfect starter. To accompany the meal we had Keema naan which were very moist and tasty, perhaps just a little more meat in them to make them better. All that for under £30 and if you download their app you get 10% off every time. Delivery was quoted as 45 mins, delivered in 30. All in all, very happy with our Friday night curry, best in Warrington?? Maybe!!"

"I would like to thank them to the front of the house and kitchen staff that two close joint visits make a really great experience. the first visit was a great success. I ordered the oxtail starter and the sirloin with extra strong cheese sauce. I personally thought the starter was okay, but the steak decided to do it. alex, the waiter, was great, he was friendly, but not too friendly. my friend had the grilled Hispi cabbage and the ice, but asked for vegan. that was not a problem. I had the Sticky toast. thank you, Alex. the second visit I had was very light, tasty and my main was the booze and my girl fire had the piece of the day, no puddings for us as we were filled. I would also like to thank the staff at the evening service on 30 May. especially for the young woman who served all the tables we could see."

"Like anybody else, we decided one day we wanted to get a Chinese takeaway for tea and we decided on Chinese Garden in Latchford village. Personally I've never been here before so I was up for first impressions. Firstly we ordered to collect and at the time there was road maintenance taking place which closed off the main road to get to the takeaway so we would've appreciated when we called, a heads up about that so we could've prepared. The place inside does look a little dated and unkept, one example is the back cushions on the waiting couch had fallen and I'm guessing just been left there. Nothing major but still. I ordered a special curry (containing various meat) and boiled rice and credit where it's due it was delicious. The meat was a big size and the prawns were king prawns, not the tiny ones many other places give you and it wasn't swamped in onion like takeaway curry dishes normally are. On this occasion I would recommend but I've not been multiple times to try various dishes. The lady we spoke to in person when we got there to collect our meal was friendly and respectful."

"Beyond poor. Booked a table, arrived at said time and the restaurant was half full so no issues there. Was sat down and told we would be Brough menus. Waited ten minutes and a waitress came to take our order...we said we hadn't even had a menu yet! She grabbed menus, we chose quickly and ordered quickly. The waitress said she was flustered and very busy but did not allude to any abnormal wait times. We ordered a bottle of wine which was delivered promptly, but with no ice bucket or similar to keep it cool whilst we drank it over time. It was also advertised as barefoot but we were delivered a different brand with no reason or apology and it did taste cheaper. After waiting half an hour we noticed the waitress apologising to another table which was near us. We then went to ask how long food would be and we're told it would be another 40-50 minutes! On top of the 30 we had already waited. At no point had anyone come to our table to tell us this or apologise for the delays. We were travelling by train and the extra time would have meant eating in a rush and missing the last train so paid for the wine and left without food. Additionally during our visit I used the bathroom which is in an appalling state. Parts of the sink unit were hanging on. 2 of the 4 toilet cubicles don't shut or don't lock and one was blocked and overflowing. The 4th one was OK but cleanliness was poor. Considering this was around 8.30pm and the place wasn't busy it's clearly not just happened that night. I understand that places are short staffed due to covid isolations. But don't take bookings, or tell people that there is a very long wait on food, or offer apologies and complimentary drinks etc."
