"A lovely sunny Sunday lunchtime we had tossed up between the sea front and Warwick Street for a pizza. In the end we chose the tranquility of Fiordilatte rather than being puffed at by exhaust fumes. We were so glad we did. Our lovely waitress, whom we thought was from Southern Italy but was actually originally from Kuwait, made us feel immediately welcome. She took our drinks order and we were also brought a bottle of water and two glasses as a matter of course. Fiordilatte has always had a simple straightforward menu with a neat range of delicious sounding pizze at excellent prices. Ours arrived pretty quickly as they weren't busy when we arrived. The pizzas were large and every bit as good as we remembered. No thick crusts here, real Italian sourdough pizzas with lots of fresh topping. Just fabulous. Our waitress was attentive at all times and made sure that we were enjoying our meal and spared a little time for a chat. It turned out that she was actually a student at Worthing College. I think lunchtimes get busier later on Sundays. At around 2.15 more people began to arrive plus there was a queue for their scrumptious Italian ice creams. When it came to dessert we chose Affogato vanilla ice cream with Espresso coffee which is poured over the ice cream. Because they were getting pretty busy our desserts took a little time to come, but hey it was a sunny Sunday and we weren't try to catch a train. Inside the restaurant they sell Sicilian desserts to take away. We couldnt resist. Absolutely lush. Thank you Fiordilatte. Got to be the very best pizzas in Worthing and excellent value."

"I would first like to start out by saying that this is a gorgeous little cafe, with very friendly staff and great options for everyone. I have been eating at The Orchard for a couple of years, and have loved it. I am plant based, and have always found their vegan options to be brilliant! However, last week I accidentally ate meat for the first time in 6 years due to fault of the chef. Twice in a row, I have visited and ordered a vegan) seitan Reuben sandwich, and have been served the real meat version instead, which I believe contains corned beef traditionally. Luckily for me, the first time this happened, the waitress noticed before I could even eat any, and they replaced it quickly. I understand these things do happen, and am a big believer in second chances, so I went back recently. I ordered the same sandwich, and took 3 mouthfuls before realising something tasted unfamiliar, so I checked inside and found real meat. I was devastated when I realised, and so was the waitress and manager. The manager refunded our total bill, and was incredibly apologetic and mortified that it had happened. I know this wasn't any fault of the front of house staff they listened carefully. I feel like I can't go back, unfortunately, as I can't risk eating meat again. And I'm really sad that's the case, because this was one of my favourite spots to eat and I'll miss it so, so much!! I hate to rate a small business poorly, but I really felt I needed to warn any non meat eaters, as I can only imagine how much more devastating it would be if this happened to someone that gave up meat for religious or allergy reasons. If you eat meat then there's no need to worry, as this place is fantastic otherwise. If the cafe replaces their chef then I would love to come back one day... :"

"We tried to go there for lunch today just after 11.30am. There was a few people finishing their breakfast and plenty of empty tables. Upon walking in, there was no-one at the bar and no-one manning the front of house desk either. We tried to catch someone 's eye but there was only one waitress we could see who was rushed off her feet in the main restaurant. We waited 10 minutes at the front of house desk and the f-o-h scruffy looking boy (early 20s) finally came to greet us. Not one word of apology for leaving us standing there for 10 minutes. We asked if they were short-staffed today and his reply was a surprised look back at us saying no, this is the change-over . We said we had been standing there for 10 minutes and his response was I doubt it, I walked past here 8 minutes ago ... Really? Again, no apology and not one ounce of professionalism in his attitude. He finally showed us to a table in the main restaurant, did not designate which waitress would be looking after us and after sitting at the table for another 10 minutes with again no service, we decided that was enough and left to have lunch elsewhere. This is a real shame as we often use the Toby Carvery and the man who generally mans the front of house desk is the most helpful and polite person. Not sure who decided to hire the one we had the unfortunate experience to meet today but seriously, rethink your recruitment process! His appearance was appalling and his attitude was not what we would expect from someone who greets you at the front of house desk (first impressions... terrible). I wish there was an option to give NO star rating but we will have to settle with one star for maybe finally sitting down for 10 minutes."
