"Everytime I come into town and need something to eat I'll come here, really good quality wholesome food, can be filled up easily for £6 which is just a little over what you'd spend on a mcdonalds meal to be hungry again an hour later with a massive taste of regret in your mouth. If you're gluten intolerant they have gluten free noodles but you can also have the vermicelli which I highly reccomend as they are thin rice noodles."

"A lovely sunny Sunday lunchtime we had tossed up between the sea front and Warwick Street for a pizza. In the end we chose the tranquility of Fiordilatte rather than being puffed at by exhaust fumes. We were so glad we did. Our lovely waitress, whom we thought was from Southern Italy but was actually originally from Kuwait, made us feel immediately welcome. She took our drinks order and we were also brought a bottle of water and two glasses as a matter of course. Fiordilatte has always had a simple straightforward menu with a neat range of delicious sounding pizze at excellent prices. Ours arrived pretty quickly as they weren't busy when we arrived. The pizzas were large and every bit as good as we remembered. No thick crusts here, real Italian sourdough pizzas with lots of fresh topping. Just fabulous. Our waitress was attentive at all times and made sure that we were enjoying our meal and spared a little time for a chat. It turned out that she was actually a student at Worthing College. I think lunchtimes get busier later on Sundays. At around 2.15 more people began to arrive plus there was a queue for their scrumptious Italian ice creams. When it came to dessert we chose Affogato vanilla ice cream with Espresso coffee which is poured over the ice cream. Because they were getting pretty busy our desserts took a little time to come, but hey it was a sunny Sunday and we weren't try to catch a train. Inside the restaurant they sell Sicilian desserts to take away. We couldnt resist. Absolutely lush. Thank you Fiordilatte. Got to be the very best pizzas in Worthing and excellent value."

"We love this cafe so a friend got a gift voucher for my husbands 40th birthday, as his birthday was in lockdown we saved it till the cafe was reopened and then the government did the eat out to help out scheme, bonus, we can...then eat more for half the price! We came down on the Wednesday and well took full advantage of the eat out to help out, it was a really hot day so eat inside, we had egg royale, cooked to perfection and tasted devine, the owners are really nice and friendly, the lemon Drizzle cake is also well worth a slice too. The staff worked incredibly hard in the extreme heat, we'll be back, see you again Love The Selwood family"

"We had not visited the John Selden for some time but recently called into the establishment at lunchtime. There is a reasonably sized free car park and in old fashioned terminology there is a public bar and a saloon bar/restaurant. The decoration is tasteful and the seating arrangements are comfortable. There were three real ales available on the day of our visit and the price of a pint was the modern day average at £3.70. The beer was in good condition. There was a typical pub menu with a 'something for everyone ' provided their tastes were not exotic. However what the pub lacked was any personal warmth or greeting. On arriving at the bar a gaunt looking humourless man simply said yes . I then ordered two pints of beer and the only other utterance was Seven pounds forty !! There was no good morning sir, how are you or perhaps good morning what can I get you . There was no please or Thank you , just a grunt as if you were a nuisance even being there. This man and the staff need to go on some sort of customer focus course or attend a public relations seminar. It was all MOST unwelcoming. Would we re-visit. No not really, unless stuck in that area without transport."

"I would first like to start out by saying that this is a gorgeous little cafe, with very friendly staff and great options for everyone. I have been eating at The Orchard for a couple of years, and have loved it. I am plant based, and have always found their vegan options to be brilliant! However, last week I accidentally ate meat for the first time in 6 years due to fault of the chef. Twice in a row, I have visited and ordered a vegan) seitan Reuben sandwich, and have been served the real meat version instead, which I believe contains corned beef traditionally. Luckily for me, the first time this happened, the waitress noticed before I could even eat any, and they replaced it quickly. I understand these things do happen, and am a big believer in second chances, so I went back recently. I ordered the same sandwich, and took 3 mouthfuls before realising something tasted unfamiliar, so I checked inside and found real meat. I was devastated when I realised, and so was the waitress and manager. The manager refunded our total bill, and was incredibly apologetic and mortified that it had happened. I know this wasn't any fault of the front of house staff they listened carefully. I feel like I can't go back, unfortunately, as I can't risk eating meat again. And I'm really sad that's the case, because this was one of my favourite spots to eat and I'll miss it so, so much!! I hate to rate a small business poorly, but I really felt I needed to warn any non meat eaters, as I can only imagine how much more devastating it would be if this happened to someone that gave up meat for religious or allergy reasons. If you eat meat then there's no need to worry, as this place is fantastic otherwise. If the cafe replaces their chef then I would love to come back one day... :"

"3rd day of trading, a total disaster. Booked for 7:30pm, seated at 7:40pm, took order at 8:05pm, food arrived at 9:20pm, and 2 items are sold out and informed at 9:10pm. Table next to us, 8 people, arrived the same time, 2 people got their food, 3 people cancelled, and 3 people had them as takeaway instead. Badly managed, only 1 working owner chef, and 4 other people, inexperienced and didn't really do much. I prefer the Bath Place old shop, as it was more welcoming and smaller in size, and you get the feel of more Thai Street food. New address at Brighton Road, is cheaply put together. There is more seating but the kitchen and staff couldn't cope tonight. The restaurant is full and basically overbooked for what they can handle. Hope it will improve greatly next time we visit. Foodwise, it's OK, but not amazing. Thai spicy sausage is too doughy and the Tom Yum Seafood food is enough for 3, served in a big bowl at £10, needs better description in the menu. The menus are obviously the same old ones from Bath Place shop."

"It was apparent this restaurant looks after its guests and because of this had regular customers. We did not book but we're lucky enough to be seated being just two. The menu specialised in chicken, beef and lamb dishes. I went for the chicken schnitzel my partner the Chicken medley all served with a choice of two sides. The mushroom and garlic sauce over my schnitzel was delicious! A small accident occurred when one of the waiters accidently dropped a dirty fork on my coat and marked it. The owner came straight over with stain remover. We were very impressed. This place had a lovely attentive family run feel about it. The food yummy and very reasonable. Suitable for all ages. Highly recommend."

"I really didn’t enjoy any part of this meal at all. The rice was flavourless and the korma didn’t even taste like korma, it was a weird flavour and the chicken tasted cheap. The Keema Naan was horrific I couldn’t even finish it, it had like a lamb paste and stunk compared to other ones I have had from elsewhere, the onion bhajis were okay, just crumbled and fell apart, didn’t keep their shape which made it difficult to enjoy. Really wish I could’ve got a refund on this because it feels like a huge waste of money."

"Sending out a huge thank you to Steve, Charlotte and their wonderful team! We’ve seen many start as fledglings this year, grow their wings and flown the nest, but they still keep coming back, for which we are grateful. We are always welcomed with a happy face and nothing is ever too much. Wishing you a fabulous Xmas and looking forward to great times together in 2024"

"We have visited this ASK restaurant several times now and each visit has been wonderful. I arrived with a friend who eats meat, but we decided to share the vegan sides (garlic bread, side salad, and roast potatoes) and I enjoyed the spaghetti al pomodoro without mozzarella, which was delicious. We also shared the blood orange and chocolate tart. We will definitely be returning."

"We went to the Sunny on 23.03.24 as a group of 8 friends. It was a trip down memory lane for us all from when we were much younger. The meal was great and authentic greek cypriot and the staff could not do enough for us to make the evening really enjoyable for everyone. We all need local restaurants like yours to ensure that good food and sensible prices make a meal a real occasion with family and friends. I think you will benefit from some advertising and social media exposure to ensure everyone knows you are offering great food! I wish you all the best for the future and I will be back to sample some more great food and take advantage of your Sunday roast dinners."
"We tried to go there for lunch today just after 11.30am. There was a few people finishing their breakfast and plenty of empty tables. Upon walking in, there was no-one at the bar and no-one manning the front of house desk either. We tried to catch someone 's eye but there was only one waitress we could see who was rushed off her feet in the main restaurant. We waited 10 minutes at the front of house desk and the f-o-h scruffy looking boy (early 20s) finally came to greet us. Not one word of apology for leaving us standing there for 10 minutes. We asked if they were short-staffed today and his reply was a surprised look back at us saying no, this is the change-over . We said we had been standing there for 10 minutes and his response was I doubt it, I walked past here 8 minutes ago ... Really? Again, no apology and not one ounce of professionalism in his attitude. He finally showed us to a table in the main restaurant, did not designate which waitress would be looking after us and after sitting at the table for another 10 minutes with again no service, we decided that was enough and left to have lunch elsewhere. This is a real shame as we often use the Toby Carvery and the man who generally mans the front of house desk is the most helpful and polite person. Not sure who decided to hire the one we had the unfortunate experience to meet today but seriously, rethink your recruitment process! His appearance was appalling and his attitude was not what we would expect from someone who greets you at the front of house desk (first impressions... terrible). I wish there was an option to give NO star rating but we will have to settle with one star for maybe finally sitting down for 10 minutes."

"I had booked a meal for my elderly Uncle cousin myself, we arrived in plenty of time, finally got a table even though we had booked a table, we were seated and given menus, before we could take half a breath we were asked for our drinks order, so we ordered wines, finally ordered our meals and were told 10 minutes later that 2 meals were not available and should not have been on the menu!! So sadly ended up with Fish Chips! Not my idea of fine cuisine, sadly there nothing else on the menu Uncle I fancied. I personally think it was rather expensive for fish chips, the third meal was told to me to be okay, we were hoping for cackling to be on the menu but No! Needless to say, we were rather disappointed all round. Will probably stick witht the HIghdown from now on."

"This restaurant offers delicious food, fantastic beer, and very friendly staff. The great hall is truly remarkable and definitely worth a visit, especially during Christmas when there's a magnificent tree in the corner by the beautiful old fireplace. It's one of my favorite places to enjoy a drink or a meal with friends and family."

"Our party of 9, including a baby in a high chair, visited this restaurant to celebrate an important birthday. The meal was pre-booked and we were accommodated at a large round table as requested. We had the option of a two or three-course set meal, with some of us choosing starters and mains, while others went for mains and dessert. The Thai mussels, fish soup, and prawn cocktail were all excellent starters. Most of us enjoyed the roast beef, which was served with a delicious selection of vegetables. The king prawn tagliatelle also looked very appetizing. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was a hit with generous portions. We opted for drinks from the bar instead of wine, and found the prices to be fair. The staff were friendly and even accommodated a request for a Yorkshire pudding for the baby. The addition of a pianist added a nice touch to the atmosphere. Overall, we recommend this restaurant for a traditional family gathering."

"my elders celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last night in ami bistro, they received first-class service and were made to really feel very special. the restaurant had no hesitation, a last-minute request for an surprise dessert cellar and what a plate it was! absolutely stunning with a series of amazing desserts, each was delicious! Many thanks to ami bistro we will be back for more!"
"We called in towards the end of what was an extremely busy lunch service (Bluebell Run). We were after some lunch and struggling to find somewhere with any room. The Fox staff couldn't have been more accommodating. There was no sign of stress or tiredness from anyone. All the staff were friendly and just really pleasant people. I had a delicious vegtables Tagine and rice and my partener had the roast pork. All veg was fresh and cooked properly. No cmplaints from us!! The couple next table not so happy, not enough gravy and her roast potatoes were too big!??? Thinks she was a regular and the staff went out of their way to get her different potatoes and more gravy. Hey ho you can't please all the people all the time but we went away happy. This is a family friendly pub that serves a descent meal at reasonable prices."

"To be honest I wasn 't sure what to expect and I 'm not usually a good one for sharing platters but l decided to try as my husband wanted to. Well.....my experience last night was really really great. I woke this morning even thinking about it. The place is intimate with very friendly and helpful staff. The furnishings are basic and really tasteful. Bringing in our dog was no problem and they even gave him his own bowl of water. The food was absolutely delicious and in good portions. After the main meal we had this amazing cake the lady had just made and it totally topped off a wonder unexpected experience for me. So so glad we went and we will definitely go back. Thank you for making our evening a really nice one."

"I ordered starters and two curries. Not only did I have to wait an hour and a half for delivery... but when my order came, they'd missed all of the starters off. The person taking the order had to ask the restaurant to be quiet to take the order and obviously missed half of it off. The owner when we called was ranting down the phone and not at all apologetic. Not only that, but she wanted to charge us extra for the things they'd missed off of the order, rather than apologising and getting it corrected. The order taker was stuck between what we were saying and her neurotic boss, who wasn't prepared to listen. My partner explained that she heard me make the call and order and I did order the starters, and they'd obviously not recorded it correctly. These guys are more concerned about money than service and reputation terrible business to treat customers in this way.. which is why I've felt compelled to write this, sadly."

"I really wish that I could rate “0” because even giving this place “1” is being generous. I called in to place an order for a family of four on Wednesday Gluten free night. Then even called back to confirm the gluten free as my nanny is celiac and would be deathly ill. Upon my arrival once again said this order is Gluten free correct ?? Then was told I didn’t say gluten free and he’s already made it. He wasn’t going to make another one and then followed by he doesn’t speak very good English. Really because he understood everything okay then. I replied with we called twice and after he argued with me finally he made another piece of fish. The service is terrible, the fish was okay but the fries were not nearly cooked enough and soggy. Beware if your gluten free apparently this place has no idea how terribly sick someone can be when your celiac. Terrible service and won’t be going back."
