"The staff was friendly, and the interior decor was beautiful. They offered a fantastic selection on both the adult and children's menus. We enjoyed two delicious roasts along with a macaroni and cheese and meatballs dish for the child. The bratwurst was cooked to perfection (the menu mentioned that we could request a slightly pink option if desired). Both the sweet side and pasta were also cooked just right. We visited on a quiet Sunday evening, with some patrons sitting outside in the sun and others at the bar inside. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in the area."

The atmosphere was delightful, but the food was just average, particularly the batter on the haddock—it was too tough to eat.

I had a wonderful experience with the warm greetings from the staff and management team, who were all lovely. I'm looking forward to going there for Valentine's Day with my partner. View menu

Lovely place, Great food and very friendly professional service, Myy only real niggle was that we were seated in the bar area while others were watching football and we had to put up with people shouting at the Tv

I absolutely love this pub! Lizzie and Mark are so kind and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere. It's also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus. They have quality live music most weeks, and the food is excellent. Just go and you won't be disappointed!

Love this pub, the owners have changed twice within the last 2 years but each time they change the menu and events seem to get better and better.I would recommend going on a monday to the pub quiz £2 entry and losers win a bottle of wine so either way you end up winning. View menu

We had a fantastic family Christmas dinner there today. I can only say that the experience was outstanding. The food, service, and attention to detail were all excellent. As newcomers to Ferring, we have found the friendliness of the staff to be unparalleled. Thank you all for a wonderful time.

I've been dining here for years, mainly with my parents who live nearby. The building is impressive, and the menu offers a wide variety of options. We opted for the lighter menu, which caters to every taste and is both delicious and affordable. The hearty approach to the food is definitely an improvement over past, more fanciful attempts. Please don't change a thing!

"I would first like to start out by saying that this is a gorgeous little cafe, with very friendly staff and great options for everyone. I have been eating at The Orchard for a couple of years, and have loved it. I am plant based, and have always found their vegan options to be brilliant! However, last week I accidentally ate meat for the first time in 6 years due to fault of the chef. Twice in a row, I have visited and ordered a vegan) seitan Reuben sandwich, and have been served the real meat version instead, which I believe contains corned beef traditionally. Luckily for me, the first time this happened, the waitress noticed before I could even eat any, and they replaced it quickly. I understand these things do happen, and am a big believer in second chances, so I went back recently. I ordered the same sandwich, and took 3 mouthfuls before realising something tasted unfamiliar, so I checked inside and found real meat. I was devastated when I realised, and so was the waitress and manager. The manager refunded our total bill, and was incredibly apologetic and mortified that it had happened. I know this wasn't any fault of the front of house staff they listened carefully. I feel like I can't go back, unfortunately, as I can't risk eating meat again. And I'm really sad that's the case, because this was one of my favourite spots to eat and I'll miss it so, so much!! I hate to rate a small business poorly, but I really felt I needed to warn any non meat eaters, as I can only imagine how much more devastating it would be if this happened to someone that gave up meat for religious or allergy reasons. If you eat meat then there's no need to worry, as this place is fantastic otherwise. If the cafe replaces their chef then I would love to come back one day... :"
