"We didn't stay over so can't comment on room's. We had our reservations booked for our evening meal for 6.15pm. Early because we had over a 2 hour drive back to Manchester and we had our fluff babies with us. Our drinks order was with us in no time, but our food almost took 2 hour's!! Really don't know why it took so long, but they were very apologetic and offered a free drink to compensate, some of us couldn't because we were driving! The meals were okay. The salmon pasta didn't have that much salmon, in fact it was cod! The Inn itself was very nice, parking wasn't adequate, we had to drive up the hill and find spaces on the main road. I'm sure we were just a bit unlucky on this occasion. We did experience a friendly service."

"Fantastic food at not too bad prices! The food really is fantastic, however what it isn't is genuine Mexican food. After being married to a Mexican girl spending a lot of time over there, well it's only México you get proper Mexican food, but they do try here, ad I've said what they do serve is top quality, just not proper Mexican food. I don't know if this has changed now as I no longer drink alcohol, but when I did, asked for one if Méxicos finest most popular tequilas, they looked at me with blank expressions, but this was a few years ago, but back then the tequila was terrible, but I've been a couple of times since, and seen better tequila, though not Don Julio Reposada, though that doesn't mean they don't have it, or other locations don't have it, but it's not an issue for me now being a non drinker. But I'd definitely recommend it, quality food, done in a slightly Mexican way, which is as good as it gets really in the UK, as I've gone looking for that true Mexican experience in Liverpool, Manchester, London even Camden where two Mexican brothers were doing the best that they could with what they had to work with!"

"The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, but their quality can be inconsistent. My dish was like an average chow mein, not exactly what I had expected. However, it was still decent. The sweet and sour chicken in my partner's dish was delicious, but the stir-fry vegetables were undercooked and the rice was too peppery. The aromatic duck was tasty, but could have used more accompaniments like pancakes, sauce, cucumber, and spring onions. The warm beers were a disappointment for the beer drinkers in our group, especially as some beers are best served cold. Overall, our experience was a mixed bag. We may opt for local takeout options in the future instead. The service was lacking, with young staff members who seemed uninformed about the menu and drink offerings, leading us to question if the usual managers were absent. Unfortunately, the service was slow, unprofessional, and somewhat lazy, with a lack of attention to detail. It's worth noting that the gluten-free sweet and sour chicken may not be truly gluten-free, as it appears to be battered in regular batter. When we asked the waitress about this, she was unable to provide any clarification."

"We visited Yoku on a Sunday evening for a meal after a long day's walking. We were not disappointed! We were met warmly upon walking in and were looked after really well by the team. We enjoyed sake cocktails, wine and beer and an array of super fresh, tasty Japanese food. We chose the pumpkin croquettes, prawn tempura, various sushi rolls and chicken katsu donburi and all were really delicious. The prices were very reasonable for a Japanese restaurant (they had a Korean page on the menu too) and the restaurant had lovely lighting and music playing. We loved Yoku and will definitely be back!"

"an amazing hidden place in the bustling China city! the shop has two separate sections for taking and eating. the es tab is in the upper floor and the booking is highly recommended, especially for a busy weekend. we ran quite late (30min, but the staff was very friendly and still our table. the menu was simply a total of 10 dishes. we ordered 3 to start with. it was really much for two people, but we could, fortunately, take another dish. the surprise was really the bun that comes with the boar bell, it worked so well with meat and sauce. we ordered an extra and recommend adding at the beginning to avoid additional waiting time. the dessert and the drinks were amazing! the price was on the easy expensive side to share 3 meals, 1 drink per and 1 dessert per person, it came as £36 per person."

"I had a rather disappointing experience at The Clydesdale Inn in Lanark. The outside temperature was in the mid-20s, and despite having air conditioning in the room, we were told it couldn't be switched on. To make matters worse, the windows didn't open, creating an extremely warm and uncomfortable environment with over 30 people in the room. What was particularly frustrating was the lack of concern from the staff. We were informed that we couldn't open the fire doors due to regulations, which I know, as a business owner myself, is more of a recommendation than an actual breach. It felt like the management and staff could have made more effort to ensure the comfort of their customers, especially in such uncomfortable conditions. Overall, this experience left a lot to be desired, and I hope that The Clydesdale Inn considers its customers' comfort and well-being more seriously in the future."

"Viet Baguette is a small restaurant in central London that serves incredibly fresh, delicious, and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Despite its limited seating for only 10-12 people, it is always busy due to the high demand for their tasty dishes such as pho, ramen, roasted rice, and baguettes. Once customers try their food, they will surely become regulars and visit as often as they can."

"The service was very poor. We arrived there really looking forward to a nice meal out but the service was appalling. We arrived there and got sat at a table that was dirty. The waiters passed by us many times without taking our order. My daughter had to get up and get them to come to us every time we needed something. The soup that I got was served cold and the waiter's fingers were in the bowl of my soup. It took 45 minutes for prawn crackers to arrive as well as our drinks. They got the food that we ordered wrong and there was a waiting time of 1 hour and 30 mins even though the restaurant was literally empty. Please do not go here. It was not an enjoyable meal. Our drinks were served but mainly filled with ice and no beverage at all."

"Had a beautiful meal here today with parents. Lovely pub, light and airy with mirrors on walls that reflect light, however remaining cosy with log fires. I'm vegetarian and enjoyed a fantastic mushroom and ale pie with vegan chips and gravy. Garden peas were cooked just right, lovely and sweet. Pie was packed and tasted amazing. This was from the lunch menu for under £10. Staff very friendly, served by a lovely waitress, Kirsty who was very attentive and helpful. Can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu."

"I am a 72 year old lady who met a friend for lunch and was asked to remove my car as it was blocking the managers driveway. I had to park out in the street as the restaurant car park was closed due to works. I explained to the waitress that I had left the house driveway clear but if it was a real problem I would move it. She said its okay for the now. Towards the end of the lunch this woman (who turned out to be the Manage'rs wife came over and very aggressively shouted and pointed her finger at me and said if I did not remove my car within 10 minutes she would not be responsible if it was hit by her Range Rover. I tried to explain that I had already spoke to the waitress and said that if it was a real problem I would move it. However I did not get finished my explanation as she stormed out through the back of the pub! I did then go and move my car but I was left very shaken and asked to speak to the Manager and was told that he was not available but I had seen him two minutes before dealing with a small tractor with a fork lift on front who was delivering turf and had managed to get into the driveway before I had a chance o move my car!! I thought it was terrible that the Manager would not come and speak to me and I will never be back there again and neither will my friends having, been a number of times in the past. I took a picture of the space I had left and there is plenty of room to get into the driveway!!"

"I'm not sure if they've switched suppliers, but the food just doesn't taste as good as it used to. The milkshakes used to have delicious chunks of strawberries, but now they're more like a McDonald's milkshake. The staff is fantastic and the restaurant is still worth a visit, but it's not quite up to the same standard as it used to be."

"My daughter and I have just had the pleasure of dining in your delightful pub. I was going to keep you as my secret gem but, when you get everything so right, you deserve that secret to be shared. A warm, friendly welcome, cosy atmosphere, varied menu AND the best tasting and presented food for miles...by far! Definitely my number one place, will certainly be back and will be recommending you to all my friends and family. Thank you and well done!"

"Popped in here on the way back from having a short drive out one sunny evening and we were pleasantly surprised. It's a long while since we had been to the Windmill, (several years in fact, and although the decor seemed much the same as i had remembered, the atmosphere seemed more welcoming. We ordered our food and started with hot king prawns in a beautiful garlicky sauce and sitting on a bed of a crispy crusty bread roll. It was beautiful. For the mains, my friend and I opted for the small fish and chips and if that was a small portion, I wouldn't like to have ordered the larger one, because it must be huge! Hubby decided to have the fish pie which came in a dish accompanied by a side salad. He said it was lovely and full of large chunks of fish. For pudding, we all ordered the same. It was a red berry sundae and it was delicious. Having had soft drinks during the meal, we then finished off with a coffee. All this worked out at approx £23 each which seemed very reasonable for all that we had and indeed, we shall be dining there again very soon!"

"I loved this place. it's a bit blown around a corner, so I hope people find this place and make the effort to stop. it's just something else. great value for money. they get a lot of food for their money (I refer to the sweet pork with vietnamese pickle . the man who served us was nice and I could say it was his place. I really hope he is successful. my only suggestion for an improvement would be that the soldier was not great. next time I will try the fruits/cuttered: . also this place is a little small, so it could be hard to find a table during the busy hours. when we left, it was good."

"I had high expectations for the pizza here as the food is said to be really good and they’ve built an area outside with a pizza oven. Unfortunately the dough and pizza making needs a lot of work. My pizza was undercooked, doughy and floppy as hell. For the price this is totally unacceptable. Anyone who knows and loves good pizza will have been to brick pizza in Norwich, amazing pizzas and you don’t pay more than £13 for a pizza. £14 my pizza was at the bell and it so substandard, I’ve had better pizza at spoons. Also £12 for a margarita is a joke, a margarita is £9 at brick and they’re worlds apart. We ordered a side of fries (also extortionate) and they were undercooked. I don’t mind paying the prices if the food is worth it but in this case it wasn’t and I’m regretting wasting my money. Garlic mayo was good. I’ve also been before for steak and it was lovely. The pizza is just really not worth it"

"A Tuesday lunch (online booking) for 1pm for myself and my parents. My father is Diabetic so we need to make sure he eats on time, hence the booking. Booking wouldn't have been necessary otherwise. I haven't lived in Milton Keynes for 27 years and was visiting the folks. Really impressed with the menu (it's essentially pub fayre) but with a huge amount of choice! I wanted to try their rotisserie chicken but I also wanted ribs. They had a menu item which had both! Result! The sage and onion fries were tasty (and a bit different) the accompanying gravy pot was excellent and just what the dish needed. It would've been a bit dry without it and I love dipping my fries in gravy! We were seated quickly, served politely and the food came fresh and really pretty promptly. We all really enjoyed what we'd ordered...parents went for Scampi and Fish&Chips. The free salad bar was superb, tonnes of choice! The only downside for me, is that it's pretty dark inside and the furniture (some chairs) were a bit grubby. They've definitely seen better days and the toilets were closed. The signage was terrible and a customer told me that I had to use the ladies. After eating the ribs I only needed to wash my hands. I'd certainly make a return visit."

"During our recent visit to Newquay, Cornwall, we had the pleasure of dining at Rebellion Restaurant, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience for our family. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and polite staff, who made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively yet cosy, creating the perfect setting for a family meal. The decor had a modern edge, with just the right amount of charm to make it inviting without being overwhelming. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the space comfortable and appealing for all ages. As for the food, it was nothing short of excellent. We ordered a variety of dishes, including a classic burger and fries, succulent beef brisket, and deliciously tender pork belly. Each dish was cooked to perfection, with flavours that were rich and satisfying. The burger was juicy and well-seasoned, paired with crispy fries that were impossible to resist. The beef brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a smoky flavour that highlighted the quality of the meat. The pork belly was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of crispy skin and tender, flavourful meat. The service was exemplary throughout our meal. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed while allowing us to enjoy our meal at our own pace. They were especially accommodating to our young family, making sure that everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. Overall, we left Rebellion Restaurant very satisfied and with full bellies. It's a place that not only delivers on great food but also excels in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Newquay, whether you're looking for a family-friendly spot or just a great meal in a fantastic setting. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Cornwall!"

"Based on the good reviews here, we tried this place for lunch. Really interesting menu and friendly staff. The place was packed on a Monday lunch time, which must say something. I had the Seafood Platter, my son had a salt beef sandwich and my husband had the potato skins. We were all very pleased with our food. Two of us were tempted by delicious looking (and tasting) cakes....enough said. We will be back, and soon."

"From the moment we were seated at our table, it felt rushed. We were immediately asked to order drinks before we even had a chance to take off our coats. Our food order was taken efficiently, as was our wine order. However, there were minimal check-ins to see if everything was okay, and we were not given the opportunity to order more drinks, dessert, or coffee. It truly felt like they were trying to rush us out the door. Unfortunately, we will not be returning as the food was not good enough to make up for the lack of service. It was evident that everything, including the cooking, was rushed. It's a shame because it seems like there is genuine talent in both the kitchen and the service staff, but they are being pressured to prioritize speed over quality."
