"The Blue Bicycle came recommended by a friend in work. I took my Son and Mum for lunch, the cafe is located in the centre of Neston. Free parking available a short distance away in a nearby carpark. I booked a table in advance which was straight forward and easy enough. We arrived early and our table was ready. The staff where really friendly and chatty. We each opted for a sandwich, I had soup with mine. It was thick, tasty and full of flavour. The sandwiches where all freshly prepared and came with a colourful side salad. We all enjoyed our food, a really lovely cafe to drop by for lunch. The cakes looked yummy, maybe next time as I'd promised my son an ice cream at Parkgate, which was about a 20 minute walk away"

"I wasn't too impressed with this restaurant. Maybe I came at a bad time. The staff seemed a bit unprofessional and disinterested, like they were just random people off the street. It would have been nice to see them dressed a bit better and with a friendlier attitude. They didn't seem too happy that we just wanted coffee, but the coffee and cake were decent. I might come back again in the future."

"Our first time eating at the Jolly Waggoners, staff were friendly and polite, pub was clean and homely. A simple but well thought out menu, quick service the food arrived together hot and oh my god it was good!!! Best onion rings I've had in living memory, the double burger was perfectly cooked with all the trimmings also well cooked and seasoned!! Happy recommend lunch at the waggoner to all."

"Everything about Delahunt was excellent. I had a pig's trotter to start; it was ingenious and delicious. For main course, I ordered lamb: it was beautifully arranged on the plate, with perfectly done gnocchi. The taste combinations throughout the meal were extraordinary. We ordered a side of potatoes; I wish that I could make potatoes come out of the oven so crispy. They must have been boiled then finished in oil, though that's just a guess. The ambiance is terrific, with the late Victorian shelves, the recovered Delahunt sign, the long countertop, the lace curtains at the front. Really a terrific evening out. I'd go back in a second."

"Visited this restaurant tonight after a friends recommendation. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such an awful customer service on the return of an over cooked steak. I had ordered a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium to rare and upon receiving I found it to be over cooked. I have been served many steaks in my time and always cut straight through the middle to make sure it is cooked to how I asked. I found my steak to be more medium and in some parts medium to well done. The chef returned nearer 10 minutes later with the same plate I had been served and it contained my full meal including my overcooked steak chopped into bits so she could “find” the medium rare part of my steak. My understanding of a medium to rare steak is that the majority of it is cooked medium to rare the whole way through and not in specific parts of the steak. We were also served a meal which contained a long dark hair which was fairly rectified but should never of happened in the first place but we did have to wait a while to get a replacement meal out. In normal times this is unacceptable but even more so now as my meal had been handled numerous times by different people way more than necessary. I was never even offered a replacement meal or an apology. Extremely disappointed with the chefs attitude this evening. Will not be returning!"

"Nice bar and atmosphere, friendly locals, prices are really good, very affordable. We had 2 garden burgers for 16gbp which was really good, the chips are probably the best chips we have ever had, like really decent chip shop chips, really nice healthy tasting garden burger and nice presentation. The guy behind the bar was not friendly at all, he wasn't friendly at the bar and when he collected our plates wasn't friendly either and didn't ask how the food was or anything, which they do in most places now. The service is the only bad thing I can say. Don't let the service side put you off, as the prices are decent and the locals are friendly."

"Lovely little restaurant but we were ignored largely and took 15 minutes to take our drinks order. The food was lacking freshness with chicken dry from being over cooked and vegetarian moussaka was cold and bland. We didn’t say anything as no one came to ask how it was and no one came over until we flagged someone down to pay and leave."

"the alice hawthorne was recommended to us by friends who have been there a few times and always had a wonderful meal. the village around the pub has a beautiful duck and is chocolate box beautiful. we had a three-course Sunday dinner and that was excellent. my husband daughter said that the roast meat was just melted in the mouth, my roast pork was beautiful and the crunchy was crispy delicious. we all commented that the bratkartoffels were the best we ever had. the personal was nice, very friendly, the service was good, the decor is super, it was all we expected and more, we will definitely recommend this pub to our friends and we will definitely be back."

"We are a members-only dining club that rotates hosting four events per year. Our second event in 2023 was held at The Bottle House, a fantastic venue with a cozy and charming atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, and excellent food and drinks. We started with Champagne and Canapes on the terrace, with a superb selection of Canapes. Our main course was a delicious Shortcrust Steak Pie with Roasted Garlic Mash, Onions, Mushrooms, Tender Stem Broccoli, and a Beef Jus, all perfectly paired with accompanying wines. The Rhubarb and Custard Trifle, House Cheeseboard, additional wines, and coffee were all delicious. The establishment is well-managed, offering a fine selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices in a welcoming setting. Congratulations to all involved, our members will definitely be returning to experience more of what you have to offer."

"Cafe Rouge was just average; the service was standard, and the bill came to £80. In contrast, Bistro Pierre was fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff was very attentive, and the food was remarkable. We ordered two appetizers, two main courses, two large glasses of wine, and two pints, all for just £66—a complete bargain, especially compared to other French restaurants in the city center. We started with free bread and butter, along with complimentary sparkling water. The portion sizes were generous; we regretted eating the bread because we struggled to finish our mains! If we hadn’t filled up on bread, we might have had room for dessert. The restaurant was packed, but we were seated and served in just an hour and a half. There was a very enthusiastic French gentleman in the restaurant who added to the atmosphere. When a birthday was being celebrated, he led the entire room in a loud rendition of “Happy Birthday,” and everyone joined in with clapping. It truly created a wonderful vibe. If you want a luxurious meal at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. I can see why it has such high ratings. Reservations are definitely necessary. Next time we return to Stratford, Bistro Pierre will be our top choice for dining, without a doubt. 10/10!"

"Had a wonderful meal here last night. Doesn’t look much from the outside and basic furnishings inside. However…… The food was amazing!! 2 of us had the stuffed tomatoes (apologies accepted that it would be peppers as had run out of tomatoes). Stuffed with delicious rice mix with crispy, crunchy potatoes. The veggie moussaka with garlic bread was a major hit. The 4th person had the ribs, which was a huge plate and sticky and perfectly cooked! The Greek Salad with their own Feta was both generous in size and taste. Lovely Greek beers and wines. The service was so friendly it felt like we were old friends. The Deli is a treasure trove of home made and hard to find goodies. Will most definitely return again and again."

"here for a vegan birthday breakfast after reading of good things online, and generally eating was good, but small portions, and frankly, the gourmet feeling they had created with polnta, and the similar was settled by the baked beans that were clearly from a dose. also from any reason it was really cold inside and we had to move tables at least twice to be out of the draft! I want to go to one of the vegan tasting evenings, but would not go back to breakfast!"

"Good for coffee and cake or a drink, not for food. I 've eaten here twice now and both times the food was disappointing. The first time was a St Patrick 's night where 'Irish stew ' was served. Myself and my friend who is also Irish commented that it really was nothing like the real thing and the portion was titchy. The second time was a couple of days ago for lunch with my husband. We both ordered the same poached egg with spinach and garlic mushrooms on a hash brown. Edible and not too bad but the portions were pretentiously small. The hash brown was very small and looked pre made from a cheap frozen packet. The mushrooms didn 't taste of garlic at all. We both said it was more like a snack than a lunch. At nearly £10 each we could have had sit in fish and chips elsewhere nearby. All rather bland. The service is friendly and it 's a lovely cosy atmosphere with pleasant decor. The atmosphere is great when there 's live music too, so i would go back. But you really need to improve the food and give bigger portions. It 's poor value for money at present."

"I had no idea that this place existed on its own, it had a cool secluded vibe! I loved walking along the narrow passage and down the old narrow staircase. It truly is a hidden gem! The restaurant is small, but that's part of its charm. It feels like an old root cellar, which is brilliant! The ambiance is cozy, dimly lit, and a perfect hideaway from the outside world. The staff was friendly and the food (which was fabulous by the way) and drinks were served promptly. The restaurant was full and more people were coming in!"

"I visited this restaurant in March 2023. The website advertised disabled access and a disabled toilet, but upon arrival, my sister, who has rheumatoid arthritis, and I found that the accessible bottom level with disabled toilets was not in use. The lower level was reserved for private parties and could accommodate up to 150 people for a buffet. The only option for us was to climb up the stairs to the top level, as there were no lifts available. I emailed Pizza Express with feedback in March and was informed that a response could take up to 7 working days. However, I did not receive a response until the 2nd of May, which stated that it could take up to 21 working days. It has now been 66 days since my initial email, and I have still not received a response to my complaint. It seems that Pizza Express does not prioritize or care enough about disabled access. It is unacceptable for a restaurant to not accommodate disabled individuals and even worse to be so slow in addressing the issue."

"A little difficult to find but you have to walk the Bell Court and then you'll see it on the right. Beautiful restaurant, large bar and plenty of seating. The service was ok, a little slow during a Wednesday afternoon, even though the restaurant was pretty empty. The steak was delicious but the lamb was amazing, cooking perfectly. Highly recommend."

"Whilst staying in Guildford I was attracted to this restaurant by the fish stew and I was not disappointed, it had everything I would expect in a brasserie in France, of which I have eaten in many. My husband had the Noël 3 course Christmas special and enjoyed the variety on offer. I did not have a starter but tasted bits of the starter my husband had. Because I was fairly full up after the fish stew I had the lighter Café Gourmand 3 miniature desserts with coffee, popular in France they were a perfect finish to the meal. There was a buzz in the smallish restaurant, something you take for granted in Europe but don’t always get in the UK. The staff were friendly helpful. I was so impressed that I have booked a table for 4 In Edinburgh, when I visit next week. I hope it’s as good as the Guildford Côte."

"For such a fantastic space, the food and drink options really let it down. Buffet cheap cafe style options, not even fresh, and at high prices. Tables not cleared. It could be wonderful if partnered with a quality chef or operator why not something like José at The Royal Academy? It’s a magnificent space and deserves better (so do the members). "I visited Chicago and a friend recommended this restaurant to me. It has quickly become my favorite spot in town. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a cozy diner feel complete with a jukebox, black and white photos, and old posters on the wall. My placemat even had a picture of agaves being processed, which I found charming. I ordered the Taco Norteño and it was delicious, especially paired with the salsa macha that was already on the table. Maxwell provided excellent service and engaging conversation. I came for breakfast so I did not try any spirits or cocktails, but I will definitely be back next time I am in Chicago. I highly recommend this restaurant!"
