"here for a vegan birthday breakfast after reading of good things online, and generally eating was good, but small portions, and frankly, the gourmet feeling they had created with polnta, and the similar was settled by the baked beans that were clearly from a dose. also from any reason it was really cold inside and we had to move tables at least twice to be out of the draft! I want to go to one of the vegan tasting evenings, but would not go back to breakfast!"

We visited the Japanese feast night and were very impressed with the great value, delicious food, and perfectly paired wines.

For about two years now, we have been frequenting Limes Kitchen and have always loved their delicious food. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the restaurant always has a bustling and lively vibe. View menu

nice eating with fair vegan options, but serving are small and it is quite overpriced in my opinion. the vegan festive evenings are much more than I am ready to pay. Unfortunately, some of the employees do not know what vegan means.

This Thai restaurant is the best new option in town. The Pad Thai is especially outstanding compared to other dishes on the menu. The Larb Moo is my absolute favorite. It's also a great spot for an English breakfast, especially if you're not already full from Thai food the night before.

The food at this restaurant was incredibly tasty! Although we typically get takeout from here, we decided to dine in and explore the extensive menu. The service was top-notch, not overly attentive but also not neglectful, and the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place! View menu

We had a great experience at this restaurant for lunch. The service was excellent and even though the restaurant was small, it felt inviting. The food had a nice Japanese influence, though we were informed that the menu would be Thai-based in the evening. We paid $50 for two courses and a drink each, which we found to be reasonable. We are eager to return and try the dinner menu.

I've had many disappointing Thai meals in the UK. However, thankfully our meal at Limes will not be included with them. Excellent and generous starters. The platter in particular. The mains were all excellent also. A rich and full flavoured Penang. A beautifully cooked sea bass. And a well balanced Pad Thai (too many I've had are too sweet). Portions are very generous. Service was attentive and friendly Highly recommended Thai

"We go to Gravetye 3 or 4 times a year if we can and have been going for many many years over the tenures of several owners. It 's always a complete joy, and the current owner has done a fabulous job of getting the right people in, both inside and out. Tom Coward, the Head Gardener (ex. Dixter) has a vision and a long term plan that make continual visits over an extended period a joy every time we visit we are surprised by the continual changes we learn so much and the garden staff are super helpful and willing to discuss what they 're up to and why. The amazing oval massive kitchen garden that supplies the hotel is a source of wonderment and not to be missed. A visual and culinary feast. We 've never stayed there as we live reasonably close, but have eaten in both the old and new dining rooms many times. The new dining room sits harmoniously between the wings of the manor and although a very modern glass and steel construction, the inclusion of a fabulous antique (and uneven) parquet floor (ex. some french chateau) softens the feel and acoustics, making the room almost intimate. The floor to ceiling windows bring you right into the garden, even in the foulest of weather it 's a triumph of design. Then there 's the food. Apart from the presentation, which is exquisite, the flavours and textures always bring a broad grin, however grumpy I am! This is absolutely first rate British cuisine; the kitchen under Head Chef George Blogg is to be commended, as are the garden staff producing the freshest of produce. I occasionally try to photograph the plates, but invariably find I 've forgotten that rather crass move and have just launched in! Must also mention the front of house staff. Perfectly presented and mannered, they know exactly the boundary between staff and guest and make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed there is nothing stuffy or obsequious about Gravetye everything is pitched just spot on and nothing is too much trouble. We were there today for a birthday treat, but will be back again soon for a post family wedding get together. Cannot recommend too highly just an excellent few hours, whatever the weather. Walkability: Lots of paths. The lower areas are easy for those with limited mobility, however it might be tricky to get up to the kitchen garden if you 're not great on your feet. Food drinks: See my review."
