"Really nice location to go for a walk, there were 3 pre signposted routes of various length of you could go your own way. Plenty of trails to explore and streams for young ones and dogs to play in. Plenty of paths through the woods and also some through fields. Some step climbing depending on which path you choose and also a challenging but fun parkrun on Saturday mornings. Only criticism was the car park was very full the mid week morning we visited but we did eventually get a space. Also has a cafe and toilets near the car park."

"Used to be lovely but the service and food has gone down. We got here at 12.15 and chose off the menu that is served from noon but was told we'd have to wait til 12.30, I think the kitchen staff were under pressure. We were on a timescale so no problem my friend chose off the breakfast menu, and I had a sausage roll from the counter. Food wasn't as good as it used to be, poached eggs were dry and the bread that they're served on are like doorsteps! if that's your thing you'll be OK. Sausage roll was burnt on the top, but as I was hungry I had it anyway and picked off the burnt bits. There's plenty of staff but they're not exactly serving more like standing around talking to each other. I've been here a few times this year and we were let down in August for a booking we made for a birthday. I really like the setting and counter delicacies, but other than that we won't be coming back for brunch, lunch or dinner, that ship has sailed."

"Perhaps we were unlucky but we had to wait two hours between sitting down for lunch and getting our main course. Pretty much every order (food, drinks, desert) had something missing that we had to chase and wait for. We had to go to the bar and collect our own drinks having seen them poured (eventually) and then sat on the bar for too long. Food good and service friendly we got a discount on the bill but not sure it’s enough to make me return."

"Probably the best food i can remember ever eating!! Hats off to the chef's, best steak ever on the surf n turf, just melted in your mouth! and the mussels.... well thats another story, so fresh and perfectly spiced and paired with the chorizo. The hake and scallops were also so so yummy. Thank you so much for a wonderful cosy experience with amazing quality fresh food!! Service: Dine in"

"Good food mostly. Fish was a little overdone on the batter, poached egg on the fish cakes was cooked too long meaning the runny egg yolk on the dish was lost. Overall good food however and great service from start to finish. Would try them again. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3"

"After waiting 45 minutes for our food, it finally arrived, only for us to find out they had served us someone else's order. I found this puzzling given how empty the restaurant was. I had ordered a rare steak, but it came out cold and gray, while my girlfriend’s fillet was also cold. With the restaurant being so quiet, I couldn't comprehend the long wait and the poor temperature of the food. Had I not had a voucher, there is no way I would have paid for this meal; it was truly disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of The Shed. When I brought my complaints to the staff, it felt like they didn’t want to hear what I had to say. I will never return to The Shed again."

"We were really looking forward to having brunch at the pavillion as we have good memories and have a history of good experiences there. We've all been so busy so we thought why not go to a place we know well to catch up. We...arrived and found a table outside easily as we usually do, so the visit started well. We went to order and the outside window wasn't open as it usually was but we thought nothing of it. Queued for the inside till and could hear everyone before us ordering food, we get to the front and I asked for a vegan sausage sandwhich and hash browns (was very excited as the menu appeared that they have extended the vegan options as I don't remember this being on the menu before). Sadly was immediately told not taking food orders, we've got a big party booked and the kitchen is backed up No option to wait for food. Disappointed and not wanting a wasted journey we ordered coffees to be told immediately there's a wait for coffee of minutes (it was actually way more than this by the time our coffees arrived). Disappointed again but we proceeded with our order and my friends had some of the cake that was left, sadly, there were no vegan options for me (I remember there used to be vegan cake so maybe they ran out that day again, very disappointing for hungry me). We sat at our table and caught up with each other as planned and eventually finished our coffees. We noticed people who did manage to order food were complaining of min waits for bacon sandwhiches. It all just seemed a bit odd because the large party hadn't arrived yet and the indoor and outdoor seating wasn't fun so how could the kitchen be so backed up . Eventually the large party arrived and it was a group of maybe people that's it. Again really surprising that this would cause such havoc on the kitchen and cause such big delays. Bit of advice: If you can't handle prebooking as it will stop your business as usual, don't take prebookings If you're taking prebookings and this may affect you then at least post on your social media go advise rather than letting people turn up and be disappointed, especially because Sundays people expect to be able to order food as usual from you If you can't handle the regular menu when taking prebookings then reduce your menu down to things like jacket potatoes, cook them earlier in the day and keep them warm in a hot pot ready for serving. You can do this easily with sausages and bacon too people aren't expecting fine dining with this menu The prices do seem to be a little more premium then before but again if you reduce your prices slightly people won't expect cooked fresh to order bacon and sausages which means you can cook a lot of this earlier in the day and avoid this backed up kitchen you described If you can't take orders just open with that when someone arrives at the till rather than letting them order and then telling them no You can see the staff were trying their best and were very polite about it. It's just a shame as I think the situation could have been avoided and the amount of people that didn't order food because of this one person prebooking must have amounted to a lot of money lost for the pavilion. Will be going to The Vardo on Castle Road Bedford or Dee Dees Diner in Biggleswade next time."

"The food and drinks at Branches are grossly overpriced. We paid £200 for two amateur starters, two bland fillet steaks with sides, and a dreadful carafe of sangria. Despite being willing to pay for great quality, the food and drinks at Branches are no better than what you would find at McDonald's. The manager's arrogance does not match the restaurant's standard of quality. If you're looking for a place to take pictures for social media, Branches has a dated fake blossom tree that would be perfect. However, if you prioritize quality of food, wine, and ambience, you should consider looking elsewhere. Overall rating: Food - 1, Service - 1, Atmosphere - 1."

"We ate here on the first night of our holiday and so glad we did. We ate early (6.45pm) and it filled up quite quickly after 7pm. The range of tapas options was great, with different food styles and flavours from around the world. We ordered 6 dishes, no bread, with the intention of having dessert, but we were too full. Never mind what we had was delicious! The wine by the glass was also very good. £80 total, including tip."

"A superb dining experience, from the moment we stepped through the door. The staff were attentive but not over attentive. The orders were taken swiftly and promptly without delay. The food once it arrived was superb, the pork belly was cooked to perfection and could be cut without a knife. The atmosphere only added to the dining experience with just the right level of noise in the restaurant, I would definitely recommend Edward Moons to anyone that visits Stratford upon Avon Parking: There are plenty of car parks that are open 24/7 within walking distance of the restaurant"
"Sign on main road said OPEN So drove 3 miles further on with plan to walk down beach, stop for a drink and a bite and walk back. But CLOSED when we got there at 2:30 Sign on main road still said open??? Not quite a waste of three hours, but close. If they can’t be bothered to have honest signs what else can’t they be bothered with? 06/01/24 Meal type: Lunch"

"I was a few times, but this last time was the worst sad. this time was not overseen with the food or service. onenofnthebserving employees did not seem much to know what they sold. simply rectified. fondant potatoes were bone dry. other parts of the meal were nice enough. some repetitions on the same as the amuse bouche, which was a candy. nice, but not dared. they could really do with losing the carpet in the main room. it adds the “Eating in someone’s sitting room” vibe and tbh the additional noise volume that would probably create it would be welcome as it can be a bit clogged in it."

"lovely location and quirky ambiance. We had what appeared to be their best room, the Barn House suite at £330.00 for the Monday night, which included their full breakfast. Provided tour of room, bar and restaurant when arrived, very helpful : Our suite was lovely and warm on arrival and oozed top end fittings and decor, including tea coffee facilities, a huge lush marble ensuite bath and shower room, but there were no slippers or fluffy dressing gowns included, no sure why not as always a nice touch : As it was our wedding anniversary we opted for evening meal 'with all the trimmings '. No Harveys Bristol cream as a pre dinner drink option, just saying : My wife was dairy and tomato intolerant and they catered quite well for this, offering clear info on menu with 'can haves and cannot haves ', but the puddings were limited to slow gin jelly or sorbets, which was disappointing as we had informed them in advance! My wife was looking forward to perhaps a dairy free chocolate mousse, so easy to make! Service very good, helpful, timely and not hurried. Nice touch from chef with 'Happy Anniversary ' around pudding plate with chocolate sauce!! Evening meal came in at just over £215.00 including drinks and 12.5% service charge. So full cost was approx £545.00 all in. Had a very quiet and comfortable sleep in the 6 foot bed followed by the full breakfast in restaurant, the 5 minute walk was fresh and welcoming, glad there was rain! The breakfast was lovely, but a little limited as my wife 's allergies had not been passed on from the night before and she couldn 't have toast for example as bread contained milk and there was not dairy free spread, such as Vitilite or Flora : Overall, great choice for our anniversary bash, but need more attention to detail. Reasonable value for money for top end experience, but there are others nearby offering similar, For example, Congham Hall, suites available for around £550.00 with dinner, just saying:"

"Absolutely fantastic food, with great attention to flavour and texture that was completely unexpected. Not tonnes of options as a vegetarian, but what I had (cheese souffle, mushroom soup) was *absolutely* delicious and I would order the exact same again. Incredible desserts, wonderful service, and the best (rhubarb) negroni I've had. Truly a joy! Would go back in a heartbeat. Vegetarian options: 2 3 vegetarian dishes per starter and main. I preferred the starter options so had a couple of those as my main instead and did not regret it!"

"over an hour wait for food, even though it was pre booked. 20 minute wait for drinks (we actually got forgot about it transpires) and our table wasn’t cleared of a single glass or plate while we sat there at a place that considers itself upmarket. Tried to bill us for food for one of our party that got held up at work and couldnt make it although this was not mentioned when we actually booked it. The bar staff seemed more content to stand about chatting (group of four talking for at least 10 minutes while we waited for only our second drink) and then had the audacity to add a 10% service charge on the bill at the end which was rejected (seriously? This isnt America food industry; You have to pay your staff an hourly rate by law) while we waited, you guessed it, for roughly half an hour just to pay the bill. Wont be back, wish id never gone. "Nearly passed this up for a chippy.... but can now say that we have bean inn.... The Bean Inn...yeah that's a terrible joke! ANYWAY! It brings me no pleasure to confess that I am in fact a wolf in sheep's clothing in that I do unfortunately eat...meat... Buuut but but! This place was absolutely AMAZING! There wasn't a single thing we didn't love! Even I as the blasted carnivore! In fact, I wouldn't have even known (had you not told me) that the butter, the cream, the ice cream, or the mud cake was vegan! I had trouble booking over the phone initially because signal in my area is naff, but they promptly managed to text me the information so I remained in the know that it was confirmed! The atmosphere was absolutely spot on! We were in a quieter room but even the other room felt warm and cosy and everyone was so friendly. The playlist was banger after banger and yet entirely appropriate for the mellow and relaxed mood, and the art on the walls was also fantastic! The tables were lovely too sounds silly but it was like the restaurant really knew what it was and what colours really worked! Earthy, red napkins and really warm! All we drank was their amazing Morwenna Sunset drink... and the food, OH THE FOOD! This is a restaurant that absolutely knows its craft and knows it so well that you can't be disappointed with anything you order! We had a starter, main and dessert each and only regret being too full for more. The waitresses were also fantastic. So lovely, polite and warm. It was like being at a cosy relative's house and not leaving without a full belly and a big smile! This restaurant deserves its own chain with places popping up on every corner! But then that would cause it to lose its charm, and there is no charm from a food place like it! I can't praise this place enough! Please go even if you're a carnivore! You'll never regret it! Power to the greens!"

"My wife and I had a wonderful meal at the Gardner’s Cottage. It was the first time both of us ever had a set menu and it did not disappoint. Do not go here if you’re a picky eater, but if you want to have a good adventure, you’ll have one. The food was all nearly local as well. Every dish was delicious and a great combination of flavors. The staff was all very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended. Food: 5"

"Exquisite! Exceptional! You will leave with your belly six courses heavier (and your purse sixty five quid lighter but you will be content with both counts. Every course is well thought out and pulled together into a blend that seems more set for an artist 's palette than the plate because surely it can 't taste as good as it looks? But tasty it is, and by the end of the evening, you will agree that six was just about the magic number of courses (unless you fancy adding the cheese we did in which case seven is heaven... It 's not cheap, but you certainly don 't feel swindled, as every ingredient is unequivocally fresh. We suggest that LDV must have a hidden garden behind the restaurant that is fully stocked with ripe fennel, pumpkins, porcini mushrooms, microherbs, macroherbs, and megaherbs (the final two may be made up . Service is friendly, familial, and altogether Italian. Delicious food with lovely hosting, and the vegetarian option is a beast of its own that is worth coming back for there 's no 'just take away the meat ' here it is clearly a carefully considered menu, and many of the veggie dishes compete with (or beat! the meaty versions. Prices on the wine list are also surprisingly reasonable. Recommended! And recommended again!"

"What a beautiful experience! My family and I visited this restaurant for lunch, including my elderly grandfather who needed some extra assistance getting in and out of the place. The staff went above and beyond to help us without any annoyance. The food was incredible, but it was the exceptional service that truly stood out. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, making us feel truly special. To top it off, they even surprised us with a complimentary dessert and sang happy birthday to my grandma, who was celebrating her special day. It was a sweet and much appreciated gesture. Thank you for a wonderful meal!"

"I ate here and it was fantastic! Honestly, it was the best soufflé I've ever had, and my steak was cooked perfectly just the way I wanted. Tracy was wonderful and helped us choose our menu (we wanted to try everything). I will definitely be coming back!"
