"Although the queues outside have always tested the most calmest of people at the best of times, and their prices for tea/coffee in a paper cup haven 't decreased either. I haven 't been inside the cafe since before Covid hit and I can 't say I will go there again. We arrived last Saturday and there was quite a queue for the window outside, this was because the Morris Dancers were performing. We decided to go inside, we ordered our tea and a teacake each. After 40 minutes I asked where the tea was and was told it was on its way! The young girl behind the counter then started thumbing through all the order receipts to find our order. I reminded her that we had also asked for a toasted teacake each. Another 10 minutes and the tea arrived, except I had been given normal tea and not the green tea that I had ordered. The teacake took a little longer. This cafe now seems to be run by very young teenagers. It was a freezing cold day and the reason we went inside is because I couldn 't see any of the heaters switched on outside. It didn 't make much difference as there was no heating on inside either. When I questioned why there was no heating on it was because the window to the outside kiosk was open and the heat would be lost! Perhaps close the door to the outside kiosk so the heat isn 't lost! The Morris Dancer event had been well published so why the owners didn 't put on extra staff to cope, I 'll never know. We asked about the soup, an impressive large soup menu, all priced at £5.95, I asked about the ingredients in the soup to be told that all the soup came in cans! Really, £5.95 for a bowl of soup from a can! The prices at this cafe are way above average but they are providing an extremely below average service and need to put experienced catering/waiting staff to provide the level of service that people expect or lower the prices so that people don 't expect too much."

"we have eaten in the clubhouse all the time serve and always enjoyed it. it was our high-time anniversary, so we thought we were going to the “thanks clubhouse it Friday “ deal 3 courses with a glass wein for two. £55 when we arrive, we got a great welcome and shown on our table. the menus came, but no Friday menu. We waited a few minutes and had to ask for the Friday Deal menu. we heard that neighboring tables ask for the Friday menu. not surprising, as the main menu has become quite expensive. we felt that the staff was more than a bit involuntary to offer the right menu. When it arrived, we were surprised that the normal 3 choice per. the curs had been reduced to only 2 per course. the review of the clubhouse website, as I write, still shows 3 choices per curs. disappointment when we look forward to the muscheln as a coup d’état. we have asked to jump from the set menu, but was said “ that is not hoe it works “ the set menu choice we are all more expensive than the mush £11 chowder £13 and salat £12. we ordered our eating and enjoyed our stater and net. the desert was openly poor. when we asked about our bill, we were surprised to see £107. in that we had been charged for desert 2x£8.50, although it is included in the Friday deal. bs k came the bill. narrower inspection shower we had been charged for all our drinks, even if the Friday deal contained a glass wein. the bill went back to remove more £15. zip bill £77. there was no tipp that poor show clubhouse gave. if they put a deal on respect and hug him or don't do it"

"When we arrived, we tried to make a reservation but couldn't get through by phone. Fortunately, there was no problem getting a table as it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. We ordered four venison dishes and two duck dishes, which soon arrived. Unfortunately, all of the venison meals were cold, including the mashed potatoes. We spoke to our waitress about this, and she assured us she would take care of it. The dishes came back, and as we dug in again, we found they were still lukewarm. The venison itself was tougher than I remembered from my previous visit. I mentioned this to our waitress, and in response, we received some complimentary French fries, which the kids loved and were hot—unlike the mashed potatoes. To her credit, the waitress apologized again and mentioned that to make up for the cold venison and mash, she had arranged free desserts for all of us, which was a nice touch. The desserts were delightful; the ice cream profiteroles were a hit with both the kids and the adults. The meal would have easily earned five stars if the main courses had been hot. It’s disappointing because I truly enjoy the location and the home-cooked quality of the food. I hope my experience was just a fluke, but with the current challenges facing restaurants, it's essential to be consistently at your best. Everyone is feeling the pinch these days, and a negative experience could prevent us from returning."
