We had a wonderful afternoon tea at this restaurant. The service was excellent, not rushed, and we were able to take home the cakes we couldn't finish. I would definitely recommend it for a dine-in experience. The price per person was between £20-£30. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying their Afternoon Tea.

The brasserie at the Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage Old Town is a delightful dining spot. The staff are friendly, well-dressed, and attentive, creating a relaxed ambiance. I enjoyed a delicious rib-eye steak with specially prepared new potatoes, accompanied by a tasty creamy peppercorn sauce. For dessert, I indulged in mint choc-chip ice-cream and a pot of tea. Celebrated mine and my partner's anniversary with a lovely dinner. The venue comes very nicely presented with wood and marble features, clean and welcoming atmosphere. Got seated in the main dining room, had a couple of cocktails while waiting for our starters , then wine with our mains. My steak was perfectly cooked to my taste. Overall was a delightful experience and definitely reccomend. went in 2 days ago and the place is disgusting and needs to sort itself out. Overheard a member of staff talking to another like absolute trash, waiting time on food was ridiculous, not very approachable people. Couldn’t care less if it was a ‘bad day’ for them, leave your personal issues at the door or hand in a resignation, it’s not that difficult! I could also notice a lot of flies in the building and a rotten smell, I’ve worked in hospitality for 6 years and there’s no way I’ve ever worked in that state let alone walked into a restaurant as bad as that. over an hour wait for food, even though it was pre booked. 20 minute wait for drinks (we actually got forgot about it transpires) and our table wasn’t cleared of a single glass or plate while we sat there at a place that considers itself upmarket. Tried to bill us for food for one of our party that got held up at work and couldnt make it although this was not mentioned when we actually booked it. The bar staff seemed more content to stand about chatting (group of four talking for at least 10 minutes while we waited for only our second drink) and then had the audacity to add a 10% service charge on the bill at the end which was rejected (seriously?
