Cote Brasserie Guildford

Tasty French food! As a French person I really enjoyed the duck, it was really tasty! Kalamari rings were also delicious! Great service, Just a bit disappointed with the alcool free cocktail, was like just some strip in water.. for the price, definitely not the best choice.

I can be very particular about my food and dining experience. Food perfect, carrot and squash soup, and the sea bass, perfect all round. Flavours, hot and fresh, wine was also well selected by the restaurant. All staff attentive and enthusiastic, friendly, and welcoming. Well done Cote been before and will definitely return. Great atmosphere.

I’ve eaten at this branch before with my parents (it’s their local Cote) however until last night my partner had not. We both love French cuisine and the food here was very tasty. We shared the charcuterie board and then enjoyed the crab starter and cheese soufflé. I then had the minute steak for main whereas my partner had the beef bourginon. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Last night was the third time in 6 months I have been to Cote in Guildford. I am vegan. Each time the vegan food has been excellent. The main course last night was Mushroom Bourguignon and the last time it was Cassoulet, both very tasty and decent portions. The staff and service were very good, professional, efficient and courteous. Despite being a restaurant chain Cote feels like an upper end restaurant experience. Also had a vegetarian and two meat eaters in our group and everyone loved the evening.

Not somewhere I'd pick for a romantic meal out (probably just because it is a chain eatery and therefore doesn't feel that special) but a great choice for pre theatre dining welcoming, reliable, prompt service without being rushed, very good value and, thankfully (on the evening we visited) air conditioned. The calamari starter and Breton fish stew were definitely winners, but the mushroom quiche was just a bit too pastry heavy and filling light. Nevertheless, an enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings.

We had a really nice family meal on a Thursday evening to celebrate my sons GCSE results. Service is always very good here and food consistently good. Ambience of the restaurant is lovely and always feels buzzy. We had a variety of mains and desserts and everyone was pleased. Only slight negative would be that the size of the fillet steaks is becoming on the verge of tiny…we all know restaurants are fighting inflation but my vote would be to increase the price slightly and serve a better size of steak clinging on to the price point might end up in disappointed customers!

We are regular visitors to this branch and we received the most wonderful welcome and were obviously remembered. The ambience in the restaurant was amazing, busy and everyone having fun . We had a lovely Kir Royale as an aperitif and presented by Ersan , who we think is an incredible host and great representative for Cote , who clearly loves his job . Agi looked after our order with great friendly approach. We had crab starter always my favourite) and my husband had steak tartar. Main courses were incredible. My fillet steak melted in my mouth, delicious potato dauphinois and green beans . Sirloin equally lovely. Cote never disappoints, and the staff here are a credit to the company.

We had a rare opportunity for an evening out together and it was wonderful. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Flexibility I requested and got served a dark rum old fashioned. Delicious. No rush we were allowed to take our time and enjoy the experience. Great choices it was nice to have a menu from which it was hard to order. So much choice. Food a delicious steak, yummy pork belly and excellent cheese board. All good so far but the experience was made by the amazing staff. Natalia was superb. The perfect host: professional, warm, friendly and nothing was too much effort. Joshia was also excellent observed the slightest problem and was quick to resolve it. Thoroughly recommended!!

Whilst staying in Guildford I was attracted to this restaurant by the fish stew and I was not disappointed, it had everything I would expect in a brasserie in France, of which I have eaten in many. My husband had the Noël 3 course Christmas special and enjoyed the variety on offer. I did not have a starter but tasted bits of the starter my husband had. Because I was fairly full up after the fish stew I had the lighter Café Gourmand 3 miniature desserts with coffee, popular in France they were a perfect finish to the meal.
