"Went for a birthday lunch with work friends. Had been recommended here many times but this was my first time of trying. It is a small place (only three tables) but it is super clean and the staff friendly. We ordered from the small but perfectly formed menu. I can't remember/pronounce the main dishes but they were in large bowls (like stews) with side dishes of rice, dumplings, prawn tempura. The food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious. I had the stew with spicy soup, seafood and silken toffee, kimchee and vegetables. The gyoza style dumplings were perfect with a slightly crispy shell. The meal was really reasonable at £45 for 3 and there was sooo much food. The portions are huge. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We have vowed to make it a birthday tradition from now on. Luckily, we have another birthday in three weeks!! Can't wait to go back..."

"Honestly they let themselves down this time. It was not busy, I’d say about 3-4 tables worth of customers and maybe 2 couples outside. We walked in and got told to sit anywhere. Then we sat for a good 15 minutes before getting served. Whilst waiting the two gents working there were scruffy and wearing dirty white trainers, which wasn’t a great professional look. The 2 female workers were much better dressed in casual yet smart clothing. Whilst waiting we were watching the 2 male workers slooowly make about 8 cups of coffee. I’m not sure why it took both of them to make these cups and it was painfully slow to watch! We finally ordered and got served our drinks pretty quick. The food didn’t take a long time to come and although it was clear my burger had been sat under the heater for a while it still tasted very good. The fish and chips were very nice and were very pleasant. Although we didn’t use the carvery a lot of people had to stand and wait for a few minutes before getting served each time. To be fair I do like the Gib rock but it was the staff that ruined it this time (two of them anyway) and it was clear there was a lack of ‘leadership’ and with someone taking charge and having more control over what seemed a jumbled and confused staffing situation I think the issues I’ve mentioned would of been thwarted. Plus dressing a bit smarter. I’m not asking for a tux but at least clean attire (again the female workers were fine). Will I be returning to the Gib rock… in a nut shell yes! However we are re thinking plans to have my partners evening there before our wedding which is something that will be discussed over the coming weeks."

"Absolutely phenomenal support from the umbrella outside, truly made my night spectacular. It provided me divine protection from the devil of downpour. The staff were delightful and attentive. Not to mention the vast selection of beverages available. In the words of Anton Ego 'Last night, I experienced something new, an extra-ordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau 's famous motto: 'Anyone can cook. ' But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. "What a great Italian Restaurant in the heart of the village of Lindfield. The staff very attentive and knowledgeable of all the dishes. Great atmosphere and with Halloween soon, the decorations very spooky, perfect for a party. We ordered Gnocchi Pesto Pasta Bolognaise, brilliant and exceptional! "Food was poor, poached egg with hollandaise sauce, eggs cold, sauce was a smear, avocado was a dollop that was guacamole seemed of cheap supermarket quality, cheesy fries with BBQ sauce were squares not fries, all quite disgusting, special of stir fried beef needed eating quickly before went cold was ok, beer was from bottom of barrel, Sauvage Blanc was nice. Service was good, but due to quality of food wouldn’t go back Service: Dine in"

"We are so happy to find quality Japanese food in Swansea! A pleasant surprise to pass by and see this place after shopping on record store day. It was lunch time and the place was empty. Very glad we gave it a go as it was delicious. I recommend the melt in your mouth fresh hamachi sashimi. I have regular cravings for Japanese food so we’ll be back often, and whenever we record shop down the road. Two of my favourite things-records Japanese food right next to each other! Happiness!"

"My favourite place to eat in Surbiton! The staff are so friendly, and we’ve always had wonderful service. My favourites for a weeknight comfort meal are the kitsune udon, and the fried chicken curry udon. I also love the takoyaki and chicken karaage, both of which are so full of flavour and taste hot and fresh. For a special dinner, the sushi boat is incredible such a huge variety of different sushi, presented well, and amazing value when you’re eating as a couple or in a group. Comes so quickly, with salads and miso soup. To finish off, drinks like sake and plum wine are reasonably priced. A real gem in Surbiton, with unpretentious and relaxed interior. Speedy service when dining in, and food still tastes fresh when delivered to nearby."

"I 've had issues with this establishment since day one but avoided saying much due to having friends employed there. We have had some awful meals here, they don 't follow the law on weights and measures act, they don 't display documents which they are legally required to do. They hire staff who harass underage girls who also work there, head chefs previously have been cocaine addicts and worked under the influence. I was verbally assaulted by a member of kitchen staff prior to a trial shift I was supposed to have there, I declined my trial shift after this and have not stepped foot back there since. Myself and my husband decided to pop in tonight for one final drink on his birthday to be informed we were barred, when we questioned this with the new supervisor who had not met us he cleared it up and said we could come back as long as I didn 't slate them on Facebook again I have made comments about negative experiences I have had there which I am in my right to do but never have I made false accusations about the venue or staff. The response to a complaint should ALWAYS be a sorry and work to rectify it, not to bar a customer for being rightfully upset. From being regulars with good relationships with staff and other customers to feeling bullied, ignored and pushed out for falling victim to verbal attacks is appalling. To sum up, disgusting management, law breaking and bullying, no doubt I will be barred for this but good riddance, I 'm happy to not step foot in here again. "I loved the first experience of Japanese food. Great atmosphere and accommodating friendly staff. Apparently this business grown from street vendor/pop up. So lovely to see how this business has grown. But back to the food. The soft shell crab not for me again BUT it was tasty in the Bento box, just my perception of the whole crab (I absolutely do love all sea food including crab and squid). I love rabbit but the whole crab I found difficult to eat. I would eat the Chicken and tofu bento box my colleagues had. Loved octopus balls, ha ha and topped off with Japanese beer. That's it. A lovely meal, experience, evening, thanks"

"The food and staff at this restaurant are incredible. I will definitely be returning. The service, meal type was dinner, and the price per person was between £50-60. "Arrived in a group of six. Ordered our food. One of the choices we chose was not available which we were then told about so we changed our choice everything was okay. We was sat waiting for our food. All the food came out apart from one meal then Sat and waited 10 minutes for the last meal to come out to them be told they don't have any left this could have been said to us when ordering but it wasn't, as you can imagine it is not very nice for five people to be sat there all eating and one person not be eating. We then asked if there was any sort of complementary drink that could be offered as a form of compensation to then be told no. Sorry we cannot do that. Overall, the service was not very good and will unlikely be returning"

"My son and I wandered into Ke Sushi looking for a quick bite to eat following an afternoon at the rugby. We noticed immediately that it was authentically Japanese the menu was written in English and correct Japanese characters. Most importantly, there are no non Japanese items on the menu. The quality of the food is excellent. The slicing of my sashimi was a bit rustic but it tasted superb especially the fatty tuna. Mixed tempura was also done really expertly (although I did have to ask the waitress for the grated mooli which would normally be served with the accompanying dip). My son's cold soba noodles also had him praising their preparation. All finished off with a couple of flasks of hot sake. Really very good and well worth a visit."

"So firstly, I’m sorry for having to write this but I feel it’s 100% necessary. We opted for the sharing starter, it was oily, no flavour, not cooked properly, presented like a child had put it together genuinely (and I mean this) worse than 3rd world standards. We also had coloured prawn crackers tasted stale, oily and unpleasant. For mains : My friends chicken pad Thai was passable just. For mains I ordered the lamb Massaman (I ordered this when I ordered starters, otherwise I would have left right away but I wanted to give the place a chance) Surprise surprise this was also a shambles, a few new potato’s cut in half no flavour or care , the lamb was all the off cuts and the sauce was like a soup. Genuinely revolting. Had 2 bites and called it a day. We complained and only paid for drinks, had a bad stomach all evening. (Not surprised) : To the owner I’d strongly suggest firing your chefs and evaluating how the company is run, how this place has any ratings over 1 star is beyond me but I guess everyone has different standards. Until this place has had some serious alterations done, I wouldn’t Recommend to anyone. On the plus side, the outside of the building is pretty. "I cannot recommend this place enough! I came in with my daughter's the other day, one of which has severe food allergies. The lady/s behind the bar and the chef were outstanding with their service. Not only did the chef cook exactly what we wanted, he went above and beyond to make sure there was no cross contamination, and even offered to help make future meals more appealing for my daughter, since her meals are very plain and basic. It's the first time in 11 years we have received such amazing service. The atmosphere was great, beautiful place and the prices are fantastic. My daughter was chuffed to bits with her meal, and our meals were gorgeous too. What a blessing to be able to take my daughter our for a meal with no worries. Thank you so much!
