"The staff when we first arrived was really friendly the service at first seemed like they was due a rush so wanted us in and out. We had the Carvery well I say cavery it’s more like ingredients they had left over in the kitchen. The meats are stacked in tins on top of each other under the heaters as there’s no space so they take the meat to a chopping board and cut all the meats on the same board. There’s non of the usual Cavery veg you get potatoes (roast and mash) some oily sweet potatoe and some sort of peas, the gravy was very watery. Once we sat the food was cold so it’s not doing anything under the heaters. I will never return here the price for what you get just doesn’t add up."

The restaurant is clean and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and it’s a comfortable place to be. It’s perfect for a lunch date with a partner. I could see myself spending an entire day here! ^u^

This was our first visit since the place changed ownership, and we were really impressed with the new layout and decor. It feels much brighter and more modern now. Although we didn't order any food, the service was excellent, especially from Emma at the bar.

We used to dine here every week, but we've since gone to other places. However, I decided to give it another shot today. I tried the new Bears signature burger, which costs £17. It was terrible! As a local resident, it's disappointing to see that it’s no longer a good place to eat. View menu

Despite the establishment saying that it was open until 11pm today… a barmaid told me that it was last orders at 10:10pm… and said that she wouldn’t offer plastics so I’ve rushed this before aiming back home… as I was told I had 15 minutes to finish that drink (this was a Wednesday)

Poor show again. Keep on giving this place chances as its our local but I'm starting to understand why its always so quiet in there when every other pub is busy. We were told we wouldn't get part of our meal as another booking later in the evening was given preference for that part of our food? On top of this just after we were asked to move seats for another booking to sit there, after asking to sit in those spots. Just ended up leaving and just paying for drinks. 3rd time attending 3rd time leaving as soon as possible.
