"Called here for Sunday lunch, wasn't busy, as I entered there seemed to be more staff than customers. They ask you for your pudding order with your mains order which is rather strange. Service was prompt,, in fact a little to prompt, Ordered the Roast, which consisted of bought in Yorkshire puddings, pork was tender, red cabbage which I love, tasted off, roast potatoes under cooked. Mains was cleared as soon as I laid my cutlery onto the plate and my pudding was delivered straight away. We were still chewing our puddings when the waitress cleared the dishes. Seemed to have a lot of new staff training with no one showing them the basic standards. What a shame!"

Camping next door we ventured out for a local pint. We were not disappointed, the staff were welcoming and we felt we had found a local many miles from home.

The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. The chicken tikka masala and scampi were particularly delicious. The prices were reasonable and I couldn't find any faults.

There was 8 of us for our annual dinner out. The service was great, the staff were excellent and the food was brilliant. I have a steak and ale pie, probably one of the best I have ever had. View menu

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The roast pork Yorkshire I ordered was cold and tough, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt and cold, and the roast potatoes were the only decent part of the meal. The coffee was good, but overall the meal was overpriced at £34.95. My wife's fish meal was hot, but the two-hour wait was unacceptable. I would not recommend dining here.

I went here for a date night with my boyfriend. Really nice food and staff. Had a lovely meal for a really good price! Would recommend the BBQ baby back ribs. After we had eaten we went to the bar and was greeted with a lovely bartender. All the staff are amazing as they are professional and provide the best service. I would highly recommend you visit Livingstone’s Freehouse even just for a drink. I also hope to come back soon!

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday while taking a break from watching the bowls competition across the road at Kessingland bowls. Had fish and chips and a sausage sandwich. Both were lovely- and generous portions- didn’t need the chips that I thought I’d wanted when ordering! We ate inside then finished off our drinks in the sunny beer garden around the back. A friendly place with decent food and drinks on offer (real ale included). Will come back if I’m back that way! View menu

We recently visited for a family meal whilst visiting family in Kessingland. The majority of us opted for the carvery and not one person was disappointed. All piping hot food with plenty of meat choices cooked to perfection. The choice of veg was unbelievable and all really tasty. Others in the party went fir fish and chips and again commented on the quality of food and size of portions Prices were very reasonable Service was professional and attentive An excellent experience all round and hope to be back soon

I went to this restaurant mainly to watch a football game, and I was not disappointed in that aspect, even though the game itself was not great. We decided to have a meal while we were there. The food was very average, typical of what you would find in a pub. I ordered the mixed seafood basket, but there was more batter than seafood. My husband had the pie, which he found to be quite chewy. It satisfied our hunger, but we probably wouldn't go back for dinner. They had live music later on, which was enjoyable. The staff were friendly, but overall, it was just an average experience.
