"Went to this restaurant as recommended by family. What a awful experience and terrible customer service first we were not allowed to sit unless we order and paid first. Than the waitress was rude and over spiced our food and then when I mentioned she the started to discuss with other customers that were seated our complaint while we were in mid of conversation with the waitress. Very rude and food was deliberately over chilli our food I have crohns and could not eat wasted £27 on absolutely disgusting behaviour and food. The waitress was not sorry nor remorseful at all the other lady which I presume was manager. when I explained to her how her staff behaved. Did not seem bothered of the attitude. Was quick to offer refund but I did not except as I wanted to show it’s not about refund more about treatment of the staff and experience she did not address the staff for gossiping about customers with other customers. My advice don’t bother wasting money at this restaurant and go somewhere better."

"The food was generally good, but it's worth noting that the veggie curries—available with either wiper or mixed vegetables—are made with frozen vegetables. We even saw them bringing in bags from the island while we were eating! The curry featured some unusual vegetables, such as broccoli and peeled baby corn, which made the dish bland and watery. Overall, it felt like a letdown."

"Usually I ask what vegetables are in the biryani, usually there is fresh cauliflower, green beans, maybe some aubergine, mushrooms, even a few chicken peas! This being a vegetarian place I didn’t ask. Their biryani was fried rice, with a handful of the cheapest frozen veg mix stirred in. Diced carrot, peas and sweetcorn (sweetcorn? in a curry? You know the kind from Farmfoods with broad beans too? Yes that stuff. There was a lot of chilli in the food too which is not right for a biryani. I am appalled at the extreme poor quality of this food. It was a takeaway. If this had been brought to my table it would’ve been sent back. 11.95 I paid for this, it came with two little plastic pots of yogurt, no gravy. The chef should be ashamed. Putting this food out and calling it Mughlai biryani. Maybe I should’ve taken the cue that the place was almost empty (when the Tanjore just a few doors up was busy . I will return. To return to food and complain in person."

"We visited this restaurant on Friday and found it wasn’t very busy. We had to wait for a while, but once we were seated, our young waitress, Naz, was absolutely fantastic – truly five stars! She had a wonderful attitude, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and overall just a great person. She's a real asset to your restaurant, and I hope you don’t lose her, as that would be a real shame. She really made our evening enjoyable. As for the food, it was lovely as well. We had a voucher for a five-course meal, and while there was a bit of a delay, the overall experience was great, and I would definitely go back!"

"This place is great! It’s off the beaten track and a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Marylebone. Food was great! We had 3 vegetarians in our party and there was lots of choice. "Our experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing, primarily due to the long wait time for our food — nearly an hour. While there were patrons who arrived after us, they were served before we were, which was confusing. The food itself did not impress; the chips lacked any sauces, and I couldn't even taste the lemon in the lemon rice. I found the prices to be excessive for the quality offered. The Hariali chicken, which was advertised as a specialty, turned out to be overly sweet and lacked the expected sharpness. On a positive note, the décor is lovely, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially considering we had a small child with us. However, given the lengthy wait and underwhelming food, I wouldn't consider returning."

"I am not one to write reviews but this was the Worst restaurant I have ever been too!! Didn’t have most of the drinks on the menu, the ones they made were horrible had to send it back, didn’t bring my baby’s food until after our starters came even though I asked them to bring it first (had to remind them to bring it!! and it was just rice and yogurt), food wasn’t great. Informed the waitress about my nut allergy and she told me to follow the menu as it was doted with the various allergens. One of the dishes I ordered had nuts but it didn’t say that on the menu and I nearly had it!! My husband complained to them about it and the managers response was it was the menu department’s job to redo the menus and they had received a similar complaint the week before but had done nothing about it!! We needed to use the baby changing facility which they said they have but we can’t use at the moment as there is an issue. There was problem after problem from the minute we got there. Will definitely not be recommending this restaurant to anyone!"

"The concept of the pods is great, offering a nice level of privacy. However, it was quite warm outside, which meant that we had to keep the windows and doors open. Unfortunately, this also let a lot of insects in while we were dining, attracted by the bright lights inside the pod. I suggest dimming the lights or installing air conditioning in the pods to improve the experience."

"The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere but it is one of the worst currys I have ever had. The lamb curry was on tiny bits of bone that were floating n the dish. Each piece that I pulled out was covered in fat! Finding the meat between bone and the fat yuk!.. I mentioned to the waiter that is wasn 't very nice and they should say on the menu that the lamb is on the bone. They just said 'yes I keep telling them that ' but no suggestions of refund or replacement. Considering how very expensive is, very unsatisfactory!!! "First time I have been invited to the Blue Orchid restaurant. At first the environment it looked a bit shabby, a bit cold like a restaurant that is going to close down, having doors with broken glass and sellotaped plus indian music very high in one side of the restaurant that we couldn't understand each other. But then when the important things came meaning the food I was surprised for the taste, and portions.. Also the waiters were so nice and assisting me and my friends in everything including when we asked to lower down a bit the volume of the music... I will definitely go back again"

"I ordered from here because the reviews on Just eat were very good. Ordered two curries,naan,rice and some starters for myself and my wife. The delivery came quickly in about minutes which was impressive but there was no naan in the bag. Like any...customer I called the restaurant and asked them to send me a naan, after putting me on hold and speaking to his staff he kept telling me to look for a white foil bag which the naan was in but I had already told him several times that there was no naan in the bag. After a while of back and fourth he sent me another naan . Half way through my meal I got a phone call from the restaurant manager and he tells me I've checked the CCTV footage and the naan was in the bag I was mortified by the level of customer service and the fact that he called me half way through my meal just to try and cover up his mistake. I paused for a moment after he said all of this on the phone and as I was about to respond he just hung up the phone. I can understand a restaurant getting an order wrong or forgetting to deliver something but to call me twice and just be rude and condescending about the situation is unforgiveable. The thing that annoys me the most is that we actually enjoyed the food but the service is terrible. I now understand why it's just a takeaway place, because if it was a restaurant they would get a lot if dissatisfied customers."

"my first take from here after recommended by friends ordered good reviews. they had obviously eaten in the restaurant that had not taken along. ordered a “special” garlic chili chicken masala plus a combination shell of lamb bhuna / huhn makhan? I'll ask you because I don't. differed from the meat that curry was able to read. all 3 boxes had the same soße, nothing written on boxes, very little taste difference. that said the lamb was very tender. Do you think I might have gotten something in the wrong way as included in the bag was a container with sauce, 3 pieces of kartoffel a boiled egg? the free poppadome tasted of fat glad I didn't pay for them. I usually freeze rest for another day, but not sure I want this rest again. it's a shame, as friends say when eating in eating is amazing. Maybe I chose a bad day? Not sure I will order from here again."

"Our first time in the restaurant, it was recommended and to be honest it wasn’t what we expected, felt like a sardine very cramped to say the least, staff were ok, ordered lamb tikka masala the wife had chicken tikka with a salad, 4 poppadoms the sauce’s came the onions were just white onions no sign of tomato purée, the meal came the lamb was very chewy and after ten minutes the wife had to ask for her salad because they had forgotten it, I’m afraid it’s first and last time for us.by the way I told the owner of my concerns over the meal ,also when I booked the table I was told cash only no card ."

"Very bad service by a lady wearing glasses, RUDE plus food was very very very bad. Asked her to replace the item which was bitter in taste couldn’t even consume the chicken as it was dry after coming out of kitchen to which the staff replied you ordered it now we cannot change it so you have to have this. Acting like a mama to force to eat. The naan bread was served in a kitchen cleaning towel sheet. Had ordered Dal which was just boiled and BLAND no spice nor no flavour. I wonder why this place is there ? Zero customer service Pathetic Food And smelly restaurant. Very Pricey ! Made the worst choice, should have gone to Sarasas or Kho Kho to which I went later again as they were packed being a Tuesday or Wednesday. Don’t go there waste of time and money."
