"my man and I were thrilled to see a new cafe and shop in tregaron, and this will not disappoint. we came to the breakfast and I can honestly say it was one of the best breakfast I've ever had. I chose the vegetarian breakfast for a change- it was delicious, and a very original homemade vegetarian sausage. the coffee and the selection of the mixes is fantastic and the selection of products in the offer. a beautiful garden also. a real Jewel, we'll be back!"

"I feel as though the positive reviews on service must be false… such a shame to have to avoid the only pub in the village for fear of being verbally accosted from the moment you walk in. The landlady is just incomprehensibly rude, dismissive and just plain unpleasant… to everyone?! It’s like an airport, when it’s your only choice, you sometimes have to go there. Although I do AVOID this place at all costs. You are fairly safe if you just get a drink and find yourself a corner, but even then… and god forbid you ask a simple question, want to order food, want to book a table, turn up for your reservation (on time! , want some sugar for your coffee… READ THE REVIEWS, it’s all true… if you want an insane experience (a real life Karen’s Diner…? then feel free to try it out. If you want a nice evening out, afternoon drink… avoid!"

"Went for our sons 16th birthday. Fire was lit, great atmosphere and the food was amazing. My only ask would be more vegetarian options, I really wanted a pie but it was game rabbit, I asked for halloumi kebab but it was out of stock, then quiche but it was bacon. "I decided to drop by The Bell on a whim and had the opportunity to try their Sunday roast. The meat was delicious and cooked perfectly. The meal included a selection of freshly prepared vegetables and a large homemade Yorkshire Pudding that was the cherry on top. The waiter provided excellent service, making our experience feel like a 5-star dining visit. I highly recommend stopping by The Bell and plan on returning in the future."

We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, and they kindly stored the cake I had made in the cellar, provided plates for us to enjoy it, and helped keep the surprise party a secret from my husband by discreetly guiding our guests to their rooms. The staff truly make this place special, as they are all incredible. Checking out at the bar was quick and effortless. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

"We visited this restaurant last year and had a negative experience that has stayed with us. During the summer of 2021, we sat outside at a picnic bench that was unfortunately broken, causing it to tip when we sat down. We moved to another table that was in better condition, but still needed to be cleaned as it was sticky and had spilled food on it. The waitress informed us that they do not clean outdoor tables. We also reported the broken picnic bench, but it remained in use. Despite wanting to leave, we had already ordered food through the app and decided to stay. Unfortunately, the food was of poor quality and we left the restaurant still feeling hungry. On a positive note, the Guinness pour was decent."

"For a MAJOR change from hot dogs, burgers and all the other staples offered by Brean we took a 10min drive to this great little pub sitting very picturesque at the foot of Brent Knoll. We had booked in advance, and just as well as it was very busy. Despite this our initial service was quick and pleasant. We ordered 2x roast of the day (turkey) and cheesy garlic bread with chips for the squirt. The chips were MASSIVE but obviously twice cooked as rhey were crispy yet soft inside. Indeed all of the food was well cooked and did not disappoint. The only negative for me was that as the pub was well booked, we were seated away from the busy main body and into what was clearly a bowling alley. With there being only one other party with us it felt rather lonely. I don't think it was intentional but it did feel like we'd been somewhat abandoned, though not neglected. I'd maybe install a TV or at the very least some background music. Well worth a visit (booking recommended)"

"After our morning walk on the Camel Trail, we decided to stop by this restaurant. We inquired about bringing our dog, Trigger, inside and were pleasantly surprised by how welcoming they were to him. The service was good, as was the sandwich and fries we shared. I ordered two latte coffees, both of which were really good and not too strong. Although I resisted the tempting cakes, I couldn't help but notice a generous slice of Coffee and Walnut being served to another patron. The owner, Katie, came out and gave Trigger some attention, even naming him 'dog of the day'. Overall, I found the place to be clean, friendly, and serving really good food. "we have an impromptu lunch. we had to find a waiter to take our order. the starters took old and were tasteless. I even had to wait until my best come after they brought my starter. we were not asked if we were in order for drinks between the curses. the mains took forever! Soggy batteries on my partner fish. my head was pleasant, but eating is just a little overpriced for what it is. we were never asked if everything was in order with our meal. a really nice environment and friendly staff, but bad price-performance ratio not the largest customer service. not even asked on the way out when everything was in order with our meal! they like to take their money .. repaid the obligatory surcharge. will not be back..."

"We're regular visitors to The Cricketers, despite living on the opposite side of town and it's always such a pleasure to spend some time here. It's in a beautiful position overlooking the cricket pitch (hence the pub's name) in the pretty village of Littlewick Green, on the western border of Maidenhead. There's always a friendly welcome, and the pub's clientele is a mixture of locals, dog walkers and ramblers, as well as those who simply enjoy the hospitality of a cosy country pub. The menu here is very affordable and the food very tasty with plenty of choice for vegetarians such as ourselves, as well as the more traditional dishes. I really enjoyed my mushroom risotto, perfectly complemented with a glass of pino, and the pub had a nice friendly buzz on a Friday evening. The service was good too, and we had everything we needed. The background music is always good too not too loud, and always creates a pleasant atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening, and would highly recommend! Looking forward to our next visit."

"Worst Pint ever! Couldn’t drink it! Used to visit this pub and also buy beer from the shop years ago when we lived nearby and it was fantastic. Sadly no longer. My husband had a pint of Waylade which was very cloudy and apparently tasted pretty awful. He complained to the waitress who said to the barman and relayed back that it was always cloudy! He couldn’t drink it! We waited ages for food as did the other customers despite it being quiet and then my husband’s prawn baguette was less appetising than one from Greggs and had no garnish, salad or finesse. The waitress did try to help with gluten information and options and I settled for a burger with a GF bun but it came as exactly that no butter, no sauce, no garnish. I declined the offer of boiled potatoes instead of chips and asked for a small cup of soup instead which she obligingly got after some deliberation hence the one star). When I went to pay I took the beer and explained that my husband found it undrinkable and the barman just shrugged and presented me with the card machine!!! If we hadn’t walked from Callander, we would have left after the drinks and I wish we had and just remembered how great it used to be! I almost never leave bad reviews and we had great meals out while in Callander fir 9 days but sadly not here and will never return or recommend this place as we had done previously."

"If you are looking for a really GOOD Sunday Lunch and feeling welcomed but not rushed then I highly recommend Dyke’s End Pub. All the food was freshly made. The plates were lovely and warm on a cold day. The meal was hot! We tried the Pork with deliciously crunchy crackling, roasted potatoes, carrots, parsnips, Yorkshire Pudding, with a separate dish of Broccoli Cabbage entwined. AND with an added feast of Cauliflower Cheese was sublime. The Desserts of Sticky Toffee Pudding which was fantastically fluffy and the melt in your mouth toffee sauce and the refreshing coolness of the ice cream was an excellent combination. I chose Apple and Blackberry Crumble which was so fresh with the addition of Vanilla Ice Cream. Mmmmm The Drinks…Elderflower Gin Fevertree Tonic was so refreshingly delicious and relaxing. Followed by a variety of good coffees. You must book! I saw a family arrive on the spot and they were offered Pie and a Pint which they came out very happy. Our Rating is 5/5"

"The Little Bull Cafe is one of my favourite stopping places on my bike ride-outs! A quality cup of coffee, and a great smoked bacon sandwich (and some naughty cakes). What more could you want?! The inside seating is limited, but there is a characterful seating outside area, next to the road (can be a bit noisy, but this is a quiet village setting so not too bad). It can be a bit busy on the weekends, but usually space during the week. Parking: I can always find a spot for my motorcycle, and usually there are spaces for cars around the small village triangle!"

"Have been here a couple of times for dinner when staying in Aboyne. It's really wonderful with great food, drinks and staff. The drinks menu is a stand out cocktails that are a bit different from the norm and actually taste as they are described (the watermelon margarita is 10/10). The food is hearty and delicious and the staff are friendly and warm. Would deffo recommend. Make a reservation though! We've been on weekdays in October when almost all tables are full."
