"Lovely food and staff but beware if you have limited mobility. Expect no sympathy from the manager. It was boiling hot so we chose to sit in the garden. We had to walk all round the pub to get there rather than direct access via the patio doors. I mentioned to the manager that if you had mobility issues, as two of us had being walking stick users, it made it difficult to go in and out to the bar to order and pay for food and drink. No tabs allowed in the garden. As soon as I said excuse me to the manager, she was immediately defensive before I got a word out. I explained our difficulty and she said it was our choice to sit in the garden. Customers complained about people passing between tables to go in and out. The tables were crammed in tightly and the chairs were large so the path to the patio doors was crowded. The doors were cordoned off to prevent use. Incidentally, the doors were a designated fire exit so should be available at all times and the passage between tables was narrow. Staff were lovely but the manager was hostile."

The front of house gave us a warm and friendly welcome! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious.

During our leisurely walk around Grafham Water, we decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant. Each of us ordered something different and we were all extremely pleased with our meals. The staff even made our two dogs feel welcome. We would definitely not hesitate to visit again in the future.

We had a table for 7 celebrating a family birthday. We all chose different mains which were served promptly and all tasted delicious. Food was hot and there were plenty of vegetables to share. We ordered 6 different desserts which looked and tasted good. This is my favourite place to eat out. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal out. View menu

I organised a meal at The Wheatsheaf for a group of 14 fishing colleagues, we chose from the very varied menu, within 15 minutes of ordering we all received our meals at the same time, the food was very hot, it was presented very nicely and was delicious. The service was excellent, I cannot fault anything about our Wheatsheaf experience. I will certainly book our group into the pub when we are next in the area.

We had a really enjoyable dinner at the Wheatsheaf. The ambience was good, and we looked out to the garden with beautiful hanging baskets. The food was freshly cooked and the portions were enormous! My husband admits himself that he does usually find fault in some way, but he kept saying how delicious it was. Congratulations to the chef. It was a Monday night we visited and it was still reasonably busy, so definitely advisable to book for busier nights.

I know the pub has been recently taken over and all looks very similar. The menu hadn't changed much but my friend had the chilli beef which was a very small portion and was nowhere as nice. My dinner was okay as was my other friends. There was only two choices of pudding and the coffee machine was broken. We chose tea which only had one tea bag between us. After a long day at work I didn't have the energy to complain. Staff need to smarten themselves up as I do not expect to keep seeing somebody stomach while I am eating. View menu

This pub/restaurant, a popular local spot, recently changed ownership. We visited to see the changes and were excited to see the new menu. The staff were friendly, but could use a dress code and training in good service (such as not leaning over tables). The food was average, with dishes like fish and chips, gammon, and chicken pie, as well as desserts that seemed store-bought. The chairs were in poor condition, with half of the fake leather peeling off. While the pub is still open and reasonably priced, the experience was not very positive. The new owners have potential with their loyal customers, but improvements in food and service are needed for a return visit. Overall, it's a decent opt...

I cannot complain about the food or the lovely waitresses but there were two issues. On entering the pun and looking for my friends I went in to the bar, then though to the first dining area and on to the second dining area. I then spotted them in the garden so went forward to the open patio. There was bunting all across here and I was told I needed to go back out of the entrance and round to the garden area. I am of limited mobility and had already had to walk quite a way from the nearest place I could park the car. I was not impressed. The manageress is inconsiderate and bordering on the rude. I did however notice that the designated fire exit is part of this access route to the garden. It...

"Re opened, refurbished and back with a bang! A classic thatched country pub which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to more than its former glory, with new owners and new management. It now features a wonderful and sizeable pub garden with stunning views over the Cambridgeshire countryside with the quaint addition of Highland Cows who seem to enjoy watching the customers! Having been for drinks and food now on a couple of occasions, the menu is sophisticated, tasty with plenty of variety. If you're enjoying a drink in the garden, for nibbles, I highly recommend the cheese fritters they compliment a cool glass of Prosecco perfectly. There is an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails on offer. Inside the pub, it's all olde world charm but with a modern twist and as much I love the warm weather, I almost can't wait to see a roaring fire in the two fireplaces! The staff are friendly and welcoming it's the sort of pub I'd be happy to go into on my own for a light lunch or just a drink. I can't wait to try their Sunday lunch which I've heard good things about already from those who have been! Considering it's a whole new team of people, the service understandably was a little bit slow as they were learning the ropes. However, on my last visit, I was impressed by how much slicker it was they're obviously fast learners. Can't wait to go back and support this quality pub/restaurant."
