"Had Sunday lunch today. Portions were very large, too large.... hate to waste food. We ordered drinks. 1 pint of cider, 1 bitter shandy and 1/2 lager shandy for my 89 year old mother in law. Unfortunately the young waiter thought she wanted a pint!!!! Really!! We did tell him but he didn't offer an exchange and we were charged full price. Food could have done with being warmer. Really lovely wee place. We stopped in after visiting Beamish. The food was so tasty and the portions were massive! I am autistic and they could not have been more helpful with my order which honestly makes such a difference to my dining experience. Highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff.
