"just abysmal. Sunday lunch they would run out of frying dinner in the rest of the menu available. besides the first two items on the rather short menu were the Brat dinner. (roast bell of pork is not my idea of a roast in any...case) that does not leave much choice. my gammon, i and chips were just that. not even exhort. as mean! the gammon was so hard that he was almost unpredictable. it was also ridiculously superfluous. fish and chips were in order. sticky toffee puddings were in stone cold, barely out. their replacements were hardly in the inside, dense, chewing and dried and hard around the edges by reheating. it could have been as much as a spoon sauce above. they were also rejected. shockingly terrible. Barmaid/waitress was apologetic, but no offer made to reduce the bill. I've never been impressed by the food here, it's been mediocre for years. This is a pub that clearly focuses on its charming location and no effort in the direction of quality. it must be avoided."

Lovely campsite, only a mile walk into Reedham. Food in the pub was lovely, but be warned the pub isn't always open.

do not take any notice re Sunday roast and select meat on the website. only a very rare bark with lots of fat, but the worst of a glass merlot with sediment in glass.

The perfect country pub to visit. We really enjoyed, our food, service and the ambiance of this lovely pub /restaurant. Started with the honey baked Brie with sour dough bread followed by slow roasted beef cheek. Food was delicious and service was great. Truly worth...a visit

Maybe I didn’t read the menu properly, but having ordered macaroni cheeses, I would have expected some greenery on the plate. Nope. Macaroni cheese with BREAD. After a starter of baked Brie with bread- I felt all carbed out. For these it cost had to go home and get a salad. Wouldn’t go again.

I am one of the ferry companies and speak to most pass, including those who visit the pub to eat. I always ask for their experience, and I can honestly say I have only heard positive comments about it and worked on the ferry...since juli the reason why I write that is because I noticed that a negative comment in this Google search that was flying a few years ago, they have to do something now.

What a pleasant surprise when we entered this old pub and restaurant. Still with its old fashioned charm and decor, it was a delight to see. A warm cosy bar area with fire and eating area off the bar where we sat looking out onto...the river and ferry. Don't be put off by the look of the outside. Mary served us and the food was excellent. So glad we went. Do go to enjoy the food and old charm.

have they dug here regularly for years a boat, was always a favorite. the moorings are now available in a terrible condition and only for about boats. Eat (which was very nice) only served and pub closes on Sunday with pitches and a camping site, seems ridiculous. also closed on Monday and Tuesday. unfortunately no longer be a favorite and will be together until next time. disappointed to say the least.

Stayed at the campsite, having been here previously. of us booked for a meal, menu was incredibly short as they did not have availability of menu listed items. We were dealt with in an abrupt and Surley manner, basically put up or go! The...food is over priced and you do not get what it says! Not a good experience at all! Go to Lord Nelson in Reedham far far better! Without the sarcastic and rude service.

Great campsite. The word ‘complex’ may create an impression that was different to our simple October experience. The site is level, services are well situated and the toilets and showers are modern and clean. The site is managed remotely but well organised and that worked...well for us. The site is located by the ferry so road connections are good and you can walk the level public footpath that runs along the site by the reedbeds. A mile (ish) walk into Reedham was great with a number of nice food options when you get there book ahead at busy times and we particularly enjoyed the Lord Nelson.

"I decided to surprise my daughter and take her for a deluxe spa break . We couldn’t fault the afternoon tea and massages at the spa these were brilliant . We were very excited about our evening meal but left feeling very deflated . On arrival no staff told us what we could have with our package, we received the wrong drinks menu. After around 20 minutes someone finally came over and asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered and asked for tap water too . One of the drinks arrived but the water and other one never did so we had to find a young bar man who was rushing about and ask him . He was lovely and went and got them for us . After a long time of waiting bread and something in a little pot was plonked on our table , no explanation what it was , we thought we had got someone else’s starter . Finally we ordered our starters it was lovely but no spoon for my daughters soup so again we had to search for staff , plates took absolutely ages to be collected, mains came finally after 1.5 hours. It was lovely but the atmosphere was bad as other customers were getting fed up of waiting too. Finally got dessert and after we finished we sat patiently waiting for our plates to be taken and bill given ,as a lot on the menu which we liked you had to pay extra for .I thought this was ridiculous thinking back how much this break had cost me . After staff walking past us and ignoring us and the empty plates I had had enough and went to find someone to put it on our room bill . This experience was not the lovely bday treat I had expected for my daughters 21st disappointing is an understatement!!!"
