"After frequently visiting this Denny's over the years, we were excited to go in today after going to Plantasia but it was really disappointing. The staff just about looked up as we seated ourselves, and glanced up as we found and retrieved our own high chair. I had to find and interrupt two members of staff chatting to request an allergen list. Luckily, we knew about online ordering as, apart from our food silently being dropped to our table, the service was nonexistent. We had to find and take cutlery from another table as our cutlery pot hadn't been replenished. The orange juice we usually order every time has been replaced by a cheap, definitely from-concentrate version but remains the same price. The rest of the food was nice enough, portions large as usual. We ate to multiple Taylor Swift songs, and the sound of two members of staff laughing and flirting with each other on the other side of the restaurant. No one checked if our food was okay or if we needed anything. When we left, the staff made the effort of speaking to us for the first time to thank us on the way out. This is the second disappointing visit we've had in the past year, and sadly makes us not want to return any time soon."

"I hired Nutmeg’s privately on a recent Sunday afternoon to celebrate a milestone birthday with 15 friends and I have to say we all had the most perfect afternoon. From start to finish the two lovely ladies ,the chef and our very own personal waitress, could not have been more helpful or accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, many of my friends were new to Nutmegs and commented on how good the food was. There was such a relaxed atmosphere and a great ambiance, we all had so much fun . It’s a pleasure to support an independent local business and I would thoroughly recommend . A little gem ."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The price per person was between £10-20, which I found to be very reasonable. The food was top-notch, receiving a perfect score of 5. The service was also exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff earning another 5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also fantastic, with a cozy and welcoming ambiance that added to the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal with great service and a wonderful atmosphere."

"The food at this restaurant was tasty, but my companion and I ordered the 'Full English' breakfast and were disappointed when it did not match the menu description. The menu mentioned sausages and mushrooms (plural), but we only received one mushroom and one sausage. Additionally, the menu advertised 'Garlic Mushrooms,' but there was no garlic present. At £15, the price for one breakfast seemed excessive, especially with such misleading menu descriptions. The scrambled tofu was also served stone cold. In the past, we have had issues at this place when it was smaller, but nothing to this extent. I reached out to the restaurant with my concerns, but received no response. It is disappointing that they do not seem to value customer feedback. Overall, I found the meal to be overpriced and lacking in customer service. I do not plan to return in the future."

"Have been going to this place for a while and prices aren’t cheap. When I asked to waitress for the middle section of chocolate brownie dont like the edge pieces she said no? The cake would break apart? Doesn’t make any sense? What would happen if I wanted 2 or more slices? Went to Starbucks that same day and asked for a fresh piece of cake didn’t want the one on display and the waitress said “no problem “ This is the kind of service that you expect!! Such a shame. I really wanted to support independent businesses like Ahmisa but very Disappointed with this service won’t be going back especially after paying £14 in total."

"Cozy nice space. We had dinner there at 7:45pm on a Saturday. There was only one person working front of house for 10ish tables. I felt bad for her! As a result service was low took about an hour and a half for two ppl to eat and pay, no cocktails or desserts and a little spotty for example once the food was served, she never checked back in and we couldn’t catch her eye so our fish fry went without tartar/anything to dip it in, not a huge deal, just bland. . The potato leek soup was too salty. One note that I missed on the entrees: they come with a huge serving of boiled potatoes and veg. Also very bland and just unexpected, it was a lot of food and much went to waste there were 6+full sized boiled yellow potatoes! I think the experience might be better for breakfast or lunch. When we stopped in to make a reservation earlier in the day, we got greeted by the on site dog which I loved."

"I’ve been meaning to write a review of this place for some time...tucked away behind the shopping centre, I and my family come back here every time we visit Leicester town centre. It’s a cosy and friendly little place where you can get a great cuppa (my mum can vouch) or a good coffee. We’ve had fabulous breakfasts, light lunches and delicious late afternoon meals (the carbonara is a particular favourite) all beautifully cooked with good ingredients. The service is very friendly, the chef is really good and although we have waited a little while for our food on one or two occasions, the wait has never been excessive and it’s because it is cooked to order and arrives piping hot. The decor is eclectic and they support local artists with art for purchase on the walls and other bits and pieces for sale, if you like a browse as you wait. Highly recommended."

"I was alerted to this delicious little cafe by an Instagram post of a delicious looking English muffin. It was love at first sight... I easily nabbed a table and ordered myself a latte. Unfortunately here your own coffee choice is filtered, so i politely declined and wondered how I would make it through the morning caffeine-free. A quick glance at the menu calmed any fears. A delicious mix of interesting flavours and different combinations litters the menu. I ordered the chorizo and sweet potato hash- a glorious mix of spinach alongside the two main ingredients, plus black pudding and eggs. Everything I wanted and more. I managed to be extremely jealous of my dining partners order- the...read more"

"found this scenic little caffe below one of the backstreets right at the main square. the photos of the breakfast look very appetizing for a full English with gazed potatoes. server was pleasant enough. we have breakfast for American style and medium. the food came in separate, my wife received her five minutes after mine. a little knock was that during these five minutes other tables were served. I found that the speck on my teller was missing what was in the did a blessing in trim, because I can honestly say that this is the only time that I have eaten speck with absolutely no taste. a few other points, two of the pancakes of my wife were hard and unusable, the beautified ptotatoes from the photo were just cooked. in the did was the only article on the plate with great taste the sausage. this was a disappointment given the other independent caffes and restaurants that norwich has to offer."

"I visited this restaurant for a small family meal last Sunday and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the vegetarian poached egg on sourdough, topped with sautéed mushrooms and spinach, which my grandfather also tried. Both of us were quite impressed by the quality and the effort that went into our brunch. I also enjoyed a crème brûlée for dessert. While it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was still of high quality, and I would definitely recommend it. The facilities are very clean, which is essential for me, and as noted in another family member's review, there is a gender-neutral bathroom available for those who appreciate such amenities in today's world. Overall, The Bionic Chef offers a refreshing alternative to traditional city restaurants, both in terms of its location and atmosphere, making it a great spot to visit!"

"Hidden Gem in Fulham. A friend told me about this little restaurant in Fulham. I went tonight for dinner and it did not disappoint. The food is simple but god damn, it is tasty. The goats cheese curd crostini is phenomenal, especially with the very quaffable organic white wine. My steak for main course was cooked to perfection and had so much flavour to it. For dessert we had some brie with marinated apricots, and also the brûlée which were both very good. I had a meal at Dinner by Heston the day before, and this blew Heston out of the water. The service is very warm and attentive. I chatted to one of the owners called Joseph, and you can really feel the love and passion that's goes into creating a place like this. I really hope this place gets popular enough for this to be a staple amongst the Fulham crowd (and the rest of London), yet also still gets me a reservation easily! It's so refreshing to dine at a restaurant like this with so much potential and at a fair price. Just go and try it out, and let these risk takers give you opportunity to show you a **** good night. I hear their brunch on the weekends is already a busy affair and has some pretty delectable dishes. i will going back to try!"

"Group of 4 we stopped for breakfast on Monday 11th December menu looked good and catered for our whole parties dietary requirements. Service was slow and we ordered drinks whilst looking at breakfast options. Tried to order a cappuccino and a latte but were told they only did filter coffee, so ordered 3 white coffees and an ice cream float (the float was the best part of the whole experience for me). The coffee was rough and lukewarm when it arrived. One of the mugs had a crack in the top and looked dirty so we asked if it could be changed this was not well received by the serving staff and the waitress was visibly not happy when she brought the coffee back (transferred into another cup and her manner was quite rude). We then ordered breakfast we all got different items and unfortunately they all arrived lukewarm with items like the bacon undercooked, which didn't help matters. When collecting the plates the staff didn't ask if it had been okay which the fact that they were all only half eaten should have prompted them to ask what was wrong. The only speedy service received was when we asked for the bill which arrived immediately with a 12.5% service charge applied which I was appalled at as the whole experience of the waiting staff did not equate to that percentage of tip!!! Would not recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a decent start to the day. Very disappointing end to a fantastic weekend in London."

"Came here for lunch with some friends who had been before and recommended it. And we're very glad they did! The menu is nearly all pancakes (sweet and savoury) And it's a very good selection of choices. I had the Superlux (smoked salmon, cream cheese) on 2 crepes and it was very nice. A very large amount of salmon and cream cheese in 2 large very tasty crepes. My wife had the English stack (bacon, sausage, egg, beans and mushroom). Again on 2 crepes and was very nice. Our friends both had different American pancake options and enjoyed it. All the food was a good portion for the price. My only issue was the milkshakes. Over £5 for a milkshake that wasn't especially large. We had a coffee and also a Nutella milkshake. They were both very very thin and if they had ice cream in there was no sign of it. Didn't taste anywhere as good as it should have been for the price. Someone needs to go to five guys to see what a proper ice cream milkshake tastes like! Would definitely come back for the pancakes but wouldn't waste my money on the milkshakes."

"This restaurant offers excellent food, friendly staff, and prompt service. They serve brunch and the price per person is between £10 and £20. I recommend trying the Fego Full English Breakfast. There is plenty of parking available, including free street parking options."

"We attended our niece's wedding at this venue on November 24th. It was easily accessible by train or bus after the ceremony at Hackney Town Hall. The main restaurant area had well laid out tables and the food was excellent. The waiting staff were polite and attentive. In the evening, guests moved to another room for the disco, which was connected to the main room. However, the music from the disco room was relayed back into the restaurant room through speakers, making it difficult to have a conversation. The bar had a great selection of drinks but could benefit from a designated area for making cocktails to prevent crowding. Unfortunately, one particular bartender had an arrogant attitude. Despite being ignored and served out of turn, the bartender made excuses and was reluctant to apologize. Overall, it was a great party venue, but there were issues with the bar service when it was busy."

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered two Mother's Day afternoon teas, one for delivery on Friday and one for Sunday. The Friday delivery was on time and the food was fresh, with a good quantity of items. However, the Sunday delivery was late and the quality and quantity of the food was significantly lower. The sandwiches were dry, there was only one small chocolate muffin for two people, and the scones were small and dry. Additionally, the cream for the scones was watery and had to be thrown away. There was no communication about the late delivery, which was disappointing. I spent £50 on this order and felt like I received poor service. One box was well-received, while the other was immediately discarded. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again and will not be recommending it to others."

"The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a friendly waitress. However, some of the food seemed to be pre-prepared and not heated properly. The dishes were also served out of order, causing some diners to wait longer than others. The most disappointing part was when a vegetarian in our group found meat in their dish, despite discussing the contents beforehand. The manager was aware of the situation but did not offer an apology or address the issue. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."
