"I was alerted to this delicious little cafe by an Instagram post of a delicious looking English muffin. It was love at first sight... I easily nabbed a table and ordered myself a latte. Unfortunately here your own coffee choice is filtered, so i politely declined and wondered how I would make it through the morning caffeine-free. A quick glance at the menu calmed any fears. A delicious mix of interesting flavours and different combinations litters the menu. I ordered the chorizo and sweet potato hash- a glorious mix of spinach alongside the two main ingredients, plus black pudding and eggs. Everything I wanted and more. I managed to be extremely jealous of my dining partners order- the...read more"

the veggie benedict eier! a tasty mouth. also the blueberry pancakes. we went twice in order, I had to try. a really cool place nice staff. it can be a bit slow, the kitchen is small and everything, but relax them because it is worth it.

hash E8 is owned and operated by man and woman duo maria O’Sullivan and ed grangerall and is all about serving hearty food in a casual and lively environment. they describe themselves as a “short job of British diner/modern fat spoon”, and a look at the menu shows why.

always a pleasure! one of the best breakfasts in london . the personal is charming, although it always rams the eating is very fresh and inspiring. queues are often very long at the washing, and from good reason, they really know how to kill this crater with a swallow of porky tasty.

Never once had a bad meal. Best update on a greasy spoon in London. Staff charming, food very tasty and the coffee if you like a filter coffee is amazing. Can't understand the semi negative reviews here so felt obliged to write my first review, they can't really help it that they are so popular particularly on weekends and it's a small space but in my opinion well worth the wait. Can't recommend enough. View menu

When I first saw the pics London the inside instagrammed from Hash E8 I got super excited. I immediately suggested we go and try it out, the very next weekend. Stat! ...They have a couple of sweet options that sound delicious (stuffed French toast and many savoury options that sound equally tempting. They clearly also have a fondness for pig, with a piggy treat or option of adding one on nearly every dish. All music to my ears.

hash E8 revolves around brunch, hash browns and pork (inside as well as as I was told recently) this little full of character caffe has a nice mood, friendly faces a good kitchen. my friend and I went there to brunch, starve and enjoy a nice brunch. her veggie brunch is a vegetarian take on the English breakfast that they don't let me try because they are (normally) without leaving a single crumb behind. I myself, cunning between the choices, followed the suggestion of the waiter and had the gay muffin, because it is different. It is as unusual as delicious. it is a bit difficult to eat, given the size of it, but it is totally worth it. the show stopper for me is the...more

When I first saw the pics London the inside instagrammed from Hash E8 I got super excited. I immediately suggested we go and try it out, the very next weekend. Stat And so we did, this weekend falling on the one Saturday in about five weeks I’d been horridly hungover, and meaning I wasn’t able to get myself out of the house much before 3. (And I returned to bed straight after brunch So, was it worth leaving my bed for however briefly? Yes, I think so, although it was a little rough around the edges They do brunch all day on weekends, and in the week as well, although they also do normal lunch options then. At the moment they only stay open until 5 but we were told they have...read more View menu

Brunch is an amazing meal and is what weekends are made for. Turn the alarm clock off, roll out of bed at a leisurely time and head straight for a meal where you can consume enough to cover two GUILT-FREE. Even the most steadfast of three meal a day advocates can surely buy into that concept. But of course brunch does come with its inherent risks, one being if it isn't good, you've not just had one bad meal but rather two. That however is not an issue at Hash E8 With plates of the chorizo sweet potato hash with black pudding and the Pig muffin to call company, the day was shaping up to be an epic. The Pig muffin in particular was an absolute beast. Containing a sausage patty...read more

I had such high hopes after reading the menu for Hash E8. Unfortunately my experience wasn't as sweet. Our visit was off to a bad start when we arrived around 10am on a Saturday to find a queue out of the door. We were stood waiting at the door for a good 20+ minutes, whilst the staff wandered around and ignored us. I asked the person in front of me if they'd been told how long the wait was nope. We both agreed it would have been nice just to be acknowledged. When we were seated we ordered the Pulled Pork Hash and the Chorizo and Sweet Potato Hash, with a side of French Toast. We had hoped for a latte, but unfortunately they only sell filter coffee here (never mind). The Pulled...read more

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
