"I had high hopes for this café based on its appearance. The sign outside advertised cod, chips, and mushy peas for over £12, so I was expecting a decent meal with a generous portion of cod. Unfortunately, the fish tasted average, the chips seemed like they came from a bag, and the mushy peas tasted like they were from a can. The food was served hot, but on cold plates which was disappointing. It's a shame that a fish and chips restaurant so close to one of the UK's biggest fish ports in Newlyn fell short of expectations. The service was great and the atmosphere was enjoyable, but the quality of the food and the cold plates really let the place down."

My wife and I had a meal here I had a full smugglers my wife had a kraken breakfast I can honestly say it was 1 of the best breakfasts we have had in a very long time we would wholly recommend

I used to love the burgers at Smugglers Den and had one that made it to my top 10, but the burger I had today was one of the worst I've ever had. My wife's chicken burger was also dry and not very good. The fries and onion rings were decent, but the burger patty was burnt and tasted like charcoal. We couldn't even finish our meals and even our dog didn't want them. The staff didn't seem interested in our complaints and it felt like we were bothering them. It was disappointing as I was hoping for the same great experience I had in the past.
