"I have been a customer of the lunch box for several years, but today's service was extremely disappointing. I ordered a sausage, bacon, and egg sandwich with ketchup, but they mistakenly gave me Heinz baked beans instead of ketchup. Additionally, the cake was crushed and the cappuccino tasted like weak coffee and was only half full. I am wondering what went wrong with the service today."

"We booked and attended during COVID times so please bear that in mind when reading. The wifi didn 't work and there was nothing to say that they knew of the problem, so spent ages (add did many others because mobile reception is poor in the area) trying to log in to order food and check in with the COVID app before asking and finding it would just say 'connecting please wait '. We ordered and then waited 90 minutes for the food. Shortly after ordering a burger we were told that they had run out of all burgers. A short time later another table had the same response but then were told that they had one left. The food was OK but certainly not up to the prices quoted. The soup was luke warm and in desperate need of seasoning. Mac and cheese tasted like it had come from a tin. It possibly hadn 't but that was the impression. The pork curry tasted like pork in blitzed tinned tomatoes with some onion and pepper to give some spice. Again, needed seasoning. Just nothing special. They did provide (unrequested) some free bread and dipping oils whilst we were waiting. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The Deverill beer, a local ale was excellent and tasted well conditioned. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The pub was scrupulously clean with good COVID compliance. We would go back to give them a second chance these are difficult times especially for the hospitality trade."

"I went to the Old Manor for a lunch time meal with my wife and we were served quickly for our drinks... However, that 's where the positive experience ends I 'm afraid. When we received our drinks we were not prompted to order food and it took a good 10 minutes after drinks to get approached for ordering food. Do bear in mind there were only 3 tables on at this time so it wasn 't Busy . We only ordered mains and nothing else, expecting it to be quick. And thankfully we did only order Mains, because if we had ordered a 3 course we would have probably been there for over 2 hours. Fast forward 45+ minutes (Yes you read that right it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the Burger and the Chicken Escalope. It doesn 't take over 45 minutes during a quiet time to fry some chicken, chips and grill a burger. When we received our food the only positive really was that it was piping hot. After we started to dig in, the food was mediocre, nothing to rave about (Which is unfortunate, because The Old Manor used to be such a great place to get food. The waiting staff didn 't check up on us for the Post food delivery checkup so we ate it quickly and thankfully there were no issues with it. This isn 't the first time, however that we 've had service this bad. In the last 6 months we 've been 3 times, one of which was Mothers Day and even then it wasn 't the best and service was super slow. Overall it 's an understaffing issue, both front of house and kitchen. I do hope you take measures to improve the service here. As this has caused such a dampener on what should have been a lovely lunch with my wife. Do better."

"Waiting 55 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 2 kids meals while the place was quiet. Questioned where the food was and ten minutes after the 2 sandwiches arrived and we were asked it we needed anything else told staff member we had ordered 2 kids meals also and they proceeded to come out ten minutes after that. The food that did arrive was basic and not even worth the price or the wait No sorry for the wait, nothing. One young girl working was lovely and polite but everyone else was abrupt and quite frankly terrible. Will absolutely not be returning and will not be recommending to anyone else. Disgusting service, disgusting food."

"Very poor service. Staff did no take the order and after minutes of waiting walked to front of house and made the order at the bar Then waited a further minutes for food to arrive The place was freezing cold as they couldn’t be bothered to turn the heating on The food was surprisingly ok though If you want to sit in a cold restaurant in a room that has not been decorated for over years whilst waiting over an hour for the good to arrive, then I would recommend this experience."

"The one-man bar team was slow, the cider was off. When we went to be seated we were told there was no booking, I offered to show them my confirmation email, there was lots of chat between the two waitresses but they insisted there was no booking. Eventually they logged into the opentable app, where my booking appeared. We were told it was not their fault and they didn't know why I'd booked via that app (it's on the link from their website) When we were seated we were informed 2 of the roast meats had sold out which left only beef, at 1400 on a Sunday I was quite surprised by this and have to assume the kitchen is very poorly stocked. To be fair, the food was good but the overall experience was very underwhelming."

"The White Horse Edgworth is a friendly country pub located in the beautiful village of Edgworth in the West Pennine Moors. They offer real good value food and have a fully refurbished bar and dining area. They are open from Monday to Sunday, with varying hours depending on the day. Most days have live music which adds to the atmosphere and is also dog friendly which is a big help to walkers in the area. "After needing a quick car repair in Portslade, we found ourselves with an hour to spare. With our two children and dog in tow on a scorching day, we were in desperate need of breakfast and drinks. The nearest option was a small cafe that didn't look too appealing from the outside. However, with our time constraints and hunger pangs, we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, the food at this cafe exceeded our expectations and surpassed its unassuming appearance. They offered a variety of options for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten sensitivity, in addition to the usual bacon sandwich. The freshly prepared food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were so reasonable that I am willing to make a special trip just to try more of their dishes in the future. Even our children enjoyed their meals. If you find yourself in Portslade, near Brighton, I highly recommend giving this cafe a chance."

"I booked up to stay for a night and wow what an absolutely beautiful place, amazing and friendly staff that catered to our every need, nothing was ever too much, service always with a smile, the food was out of this world the place itself was stunning, I stayed in the shepherds hut for a night and I will totally recommend it to anyone the best nights sleep ever,, everything about the masons Arms was so very clean, the shower blocks are probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen, such a beautiful and friendly place will definitely be returning"

"My absolute favourite breakfast/lunch place! As I've not been able to leave the house for almost a year now due to the pandemic and being severely disabled, I've had to rely on food delivery, and the very reasonable prices and wonderful food at Lunch In Out has been a great help on the days I am unable to cook for myself! Being able to enjoy a fresh, hot sausage and egg baguette, and ordering a ham and egg mayo (never used to like egg mayo, somehow these guys make it incredibly tasty! one for dinner time has become a happy routine! Would recommend this place to anyone, simple, fresh, quality food at a great price!"

"I have recommended this place for what feels like a million times to people as I have had many fantastic meals here However... On Wednesday it was unfortunately the last time we go. It had nothing to do with the wait, as the burgers are cooked from fresh and it's always worth the wait. The problem was the fact we got completely ripped off with the toppings. I paid for just one single thin slice of chorizo, it was rather embarrassing really. Same again with the bacon, we had one tiny piece of bacon each and then the halloumi was also a bit of joke too, it was shocking. Back in previous visits, the burgers were loaded with toppings but honestly, it was pathetic It's a shame because I had only last week organised the team in work to all go out for a meal there because i told them it's the best burger around Now I have to find somewhere else because I don't want them wasting money on what seemed like a child's portion of a burger."

"The area and the pub are absolutely beautiful, and when we arrived the staff were great. The room was very nice but you could hear every conversation from the bar below as if the person was in our room with us! So not as peaceful as advertised! Whilst my food was alright- not as nice as i expected-several other diners walked out because service was appalling. And on waking this morning, we had no electricity or water in our room! When I went to find help there were NO staff to be found, I walked around the whole pub- kitchen included. Even rang the number on the website (no answer) Eventually found 1 agency staff who had only started the day before so didn't have a clue what was going on either! Would not recommend."

"I have eaten here twice and both times the food was very good and service friendly. Nice choice of flavours and textures represented. Veggie things, meaty things, comforting things, single cheeses, creative affogatos, great wines. It is obvious that each dish is made with love and care. "AVOID AT ALL COST I booked a table for 4 when visiting my daughter . It was a sunny day and busy in the garden and the restaurant. We were sat inside . The waitress took our drink order which then took 10 minutes to come. When she bought our drinks she said she was going to clear the wine glasses and come back to take out order why did'nt she take our order at the same time ? We then waited another 10 minutes before we had to go and find another waitress to take our food order. We then waited 45 minutes for our food which only came as I chased another waiter. Could the food have been worth the wait ... No ! The roast meat was overcooked , all of the roast vegtables were soggy as were the green vegtables. I ordered a side of stuffing which was also soggy and the plate was swimming in gravy . My daughter had the lamb skewer which was tough and rubbery . All of the waiting could have been better had someone told us that there was a wait . They were horribly understaffed in the kitchen and the restaurant . I will not be going back"
