"We stopped by for lunch and were pleased with the food, which was quite good. However, we found the menu a bit challenging to read due to the small print; larger text would be helpful. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have a handrail for easier access, as I found the steep steps difficult to navigate due to my age. Overall, I would rate the service 5 out of 5 and the location 5 out of 5."

"We had booked the night before and when got there there was no booking, had to wait ages then to get seated. Very slow service. Roasts came out warm nearly cold. Asked if could be heated up and came out at the same temperature. The beef had then gone dry and chewy (quite obvious if your going to put it in the microwave) got offered puddings on the house then when we got the bill the puddings were on there and was told only one of the puddings were on the house. Lovely venue but that is it unfortunately"

"This is a special pub, really special. I've been here a few times over the past few years, but having now moved to the area it's become a local and regular one we visit. The food is fantastic freshly cooked, well presented, massive portions and well priced. The service is also top notch; every is incredibly attentive and friendly. Great selections of drinks as well. Oh and the puddings are mind blowing. Especially the banoffee pie. Price per person: £30–40"

"The chap who greeted us and took us to our table was great. The starters were OK apart from the crusty roll served with the soup which was a soft roll. It all went down hill from there. My wife ordered the southern fried chicken and I ordered the hunters chicken. My wife's chicken was overcooked and dry. My chicken was so overcooked it was black and like an old boot. The chips were overcooked. We asked for condiments and the waiter who brought them threw a handful of sachets, scattering them across the table. When I asked for replacement cutlery from the same waiter, he actually sighed before going to get them and then dumped them on the table quite hard. The whole experience felt like we were putting them out, apart from that first very lovely person who seated us and came to check on us. Don't recommend eating here at all."

"A friend and I recently dined at this restaurant. My friend had visited before and said it was the best Portuguese restaurant in the area, but we both agreed that the experience did not live up to the positive reviews. We ordered mussel clams and octopus salad, along with bread and butter. The salad and bread arrived first, and we were surprised to find garlic bread but no butter. The waitress didn't seem concerned. Shortly after, we were served a plate of prawns instead of the clams we had ordered. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she simply shrugged and said we had pointed at the prawns. The main courses were decent, with a creamy mushroom sauce, but the meat was tough. I have had better experiences at Portuguese restaurants in the Heathrow area and would not recommend Moniz to others."

"We visited Pennycomequick three times first for just a drink (and loved the atmosphere! , then for dinner (food wonderful and staff very welcoming and friendly , then finally because we were let down by another restaurant and needed something to eat! The manager was great and looked after us. If we're in Falmouth again, we'll definitely return. In a nutshell, a great pub, with superb food that's very welcoming to visitors (thank you! ."

"as a resident of Nord-Walzham, the olive tree is a well known place and I would recommend it safely to people in and around the opposite. the place is in plush environment and is well maintained. the staff is very helpful and attentive. the only critic I will give is very expensive when it comes to eating and drinking. recharge for a basic bottle of red that they can buy in sainsburys for a five. after we have said that everyone was visited. So all in all, it's definitiw some where they're visiting just make sure they're in a position to murder again before they go."

"It's not a big secret to the people I know that I love bagels. They are the best thing to happen in food since that Sandwich bloke thought of putting two bits of a loaf around some filling. Or sliced bread, if you'd prefer a shorter hyperbolas analogy. Thus as I stumbled home from Shoreditch via Brick Lane in the wee small hours of Monday (I really should take more Mondays off) I did my best moth impression and was drawn to the gleaming yellow lights of this 24 hour emporium of bagel. I have been told of the rivalry between this fine establishment and that of its more illustrious neighbour Beigal Bakes, but this didn't really feature in my mind as I stuck my blurry face into a bagel...read more"

"The food and flavours were good what there was of it. The bbq is a real novelty but service needs to be improved and value for money is not good, very overpriced. When you ask a waitress for something three times and they still dont bring it there is clearly something wrong. "this is a difficult check, as it is a beautiful place. much improved from previous incarnations, but there are niggers. it is essentially a meat-fish-dining paradise and eating is excellent in this sight. they also have vegetarian possibilities to care for those who are not carnivorous, but they are a reflection. if they offer for vegetarian / vegan and calculate the same prices for their meals, they should be fed in a portion size to the feeds delivered to carnivores. only a veggie option on a Sunday menu vegetarian bake the size of a small suppen bowl, which in the ground a veg stew with cheese blown up and two bratkartoffels on the side is not enough and is far overpriced. I almost cried to the quality of food that my friends got that I couldn't eat. there are six of us who regularly eat together and we have written the royal off, because they cannot care for one of us. that's a lot of money they lose through lazy and retro thinking. if they are pure a qualitatiw high quality meat/fish restaurant without concession to veggie / vegan fill their boots, but if they offer vegetarian food, but limited in scope, it must be better than this."
"I visited this restaurant for the first time on a bank holiday Monday. The place looked amazing with its glass ceiling, waterfall, and garden. We chose to sit in one of the back rooms with our sleeping baby in his stroller and we were well taken care of. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, especially the seafood cocktail, rindbrisket burger, and the brownie was amazing! I am thrilled that this restaurant is conveniently located near us and we will definitely be returning regularly."

"Travelled from suffolk to meet up with some friends from London and to have a meal, meet up was great but the meal was really poor,6 roast dinners and all totally bland,no taste whatsoever then ordered 6 deserts which took almost 40 mins for them to turn up,asked the waiter how long they were going to be at one point and were told that the chef was really busy and it was tough....4 of the deserts were Eton mess which when they turned up were a joke, more like ice cream and cream, the waitress did not charge for the deserts which was a help but sadly to say we wont be returning. The manager never even apologised as we walked past him and went to sit in the beer garden.....nice pub but sadly the food lets it down."

"My husband and I have been regular visitors to this restaurant over the years and never had anything to complain about, so when my husband booked for my Birthday with my family (6 adults and 2 children) we were all really looking forward to a lovely Sunday late lunch/early dinner. Our table was booked for 4.30 and we all arrived on time and were shown to our table straight away. We all ordered pre dinner drinks whilst choosing from the Sunday menu. All of our starters were lovely, including the prawn cocktail and the soup, however unfortunately we cannot say the same for the mains.....3 x beef, which of the two slices were fatty and rather tough, the roast potatoes were very very hard and tough and very difficult to cut through, the Yorkshire puddings were burnt and really quite inedible and the gravy, already on the plate, was very thin and watery. My husband had the lamb shoulder which was extremely dry. Vegetables were served to the table and consisted of carrots, parsnips and large slices of onion and swede mash, not a green vegetable in sight. We also had a bottle of wine which we continued to pour ourselves throughout our meal.......in the 'old days ' the wine was always poured for us! It was plain to see when we were 'finished ' eating our meals that there was so much left on our plates as not one of us enjoyed the dinner at all and it was all very dissapointing, hence we all turned down the offer of dessert, although my grandson ordered the kids brownie and ice cream which he enjoyed! Overall our visit was really really disappointing and sorry to say we left the restaurant all saying the same.....we will not be visiting again soon!"

"The staff are always so accommodating. The perfect value vs taste cafe. You will not find a better coffee and cake for a cheaper price than at Lisbon Bakery, period. You always leave feeling like you forgot to pay for something but its just that good! Ditch the Costa, and try some real artisan cakes, coffee and meals at Lisbon and you will not regret it. A true local gem and a perfect spot if your a student with time for a cat up with friends in between exams. Also, look up if you're visiting. They have an amazing selection of alcohol within variety you would struggle to find anywhere else in the city. The lemoncello will happily make the transition between meal to cake a flawless experience Wheelchair accessibility: Indoors there are no steps just a small inclined ramp. Entrance has a lip, but the staff met me at the door with a sturdy fold out ramp before I even had a chance to ask when I visited with friends who required wheelchair access. They also instinctively look for a space or move chairs to accommodate without making you feel like it's a hassle. A much needed reprieve in a cobble laden city that can be quite difficult to navigate if you have a wheelchair! "We were a table of 10 on a Sunday. The food was plentiful and delicious. Most of us had kebab related meals but the roast that was chosen looked amazing too. Puddings all were scrumptious Service was excellent. Nothing was too much. Asking if anyone wanted anything every time they were at the table. Never had to chase anyone down to order something. They were attentive without needing to lurk about!! Two of us were also kids 10m and 2y. High chairs provided for both, although not used. Room for our (admittedly not overlarge pushchair next to table so baby slept in there On the whole would highly recommend to anyone. Going again for an evening dinner very soon Kid friendliness: Was brilliant; high chairs provided for both my children. As was a bucket(! of boiling water to warm up my baby’s milk"

"our group had different choices from the Sunday midday menu and everyone thought eating was good. we were particularly impressed that the corresponding sauces were brought to the table for each meat and a crippled extra gravure shortly before the meal without having to ask for it. After we had previously dined to the krone, we knew that the size of the restaurant was not great, so that we at the arrival have discouraged to see a large screen TV that dominates the room with cricket. we had the choice to sit where we liked each other, in view of the limits we sat on a table, as far away from the television as we could. in earlier places the room was used exclusively for eating, but it seems now that the krone is more spoiled by a trinker pub. once again, given the size of the room we found our dining room experience of foul language and as the numbers rose, we felt at people who drink around the tables, especially taking into account covid precautions. at one point the smell of cigarette smoke was so strong that we looked around to see if someone smoked in the restaurant. the smell actually came from smokers standing in front of the back door, but it was pulled so very unpleasant into the restaurant while eating it."

"Very nice restaurant! Lovely inside, nicely decorated and the red lighting is lovely, nice and romantic/perfect for dates. We shared the 25oz rump steak which was perfection, cooked amazing and very tasty. Portion size was good! A couple of down sides is that it's pretty expensive for what it is, especially the cocktails 6.50 each). So its advised to go during happy hour' where its cheaper. Also, when we went, it was empty inside, only 2 other tables in, although food was in good time, service was slow (though friendly!)Took a while to have our plates taken away in between starters and main and then to have our plates cleared at the end took forever! I would definitely come back again though"

"Easily the best pub we've been to in the UK hands down, if you are even remotely in the area make sure you come. Nick the publican has been here for 40 (four zero!!! Years and has built this place into an amazing centre of community and happyness. There are pretty much events on every night and everyone we met was so happy and welcoming, the food was fantastic as well and there are a great selection of beers and other options. We arrived on a Tuesday and were treated to a night of shanties and decided to stay another night for Wednesday to enjoy a band of 20 local musicians playing beautiful Cornish music. Honestly one of the most surreal and amazing experiences we've had while campervaning around Europe and the UK, we really can't thank Nick and his team of lovely staff enough. We are already planning on coming back!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We recently dined at this establishment based on glowing reviews and an intriguing interior. From the moment we entered the small parking area to the warm welcome by a helpful young man, our experience was delightful. The restaurant's decor was captivating, and we were promptly seated at a perfectly arranged table. Our waiter, a friendly and charming gentleman, efficiently took our drink orders, and the haddock fish cakes for starters were truly satisfying. The mains featured a flawlessly cooked 8oz Scottish steak, tailored to my medium preference. The intimate and well-thought-out atmosphere, coupled with the wonderfully friendly staff, made for a memorable evening. We look forward to returning soon and extend our compliments to the chefs for crafting truly spectacular food. Thank you for making our evening truly wonderful."

"I loved the White Horse during my time living in Westbury on Trym for a year in 2020/2021, so much that we were going there almost every week, because of the high quality, delicious food with interesting twists and very professional and nice staff. I was looking forward to visiting again after moving back to Bristol, and could not be more disappointed. The food is now average. The Sunday roast I ordered was generous in portion but only ok in taste. The sweet potato mash was watery, the nut loaf did not taste of nuts, and the roasted potatoes were very hard. The staff is nice, but definitely not trained to the level of the team under previous ownership. We booked a table for 2pm, but our reservation was written down as 1pm, and we ended up in a dark room at the back with no windows. I saw the person on the bar picking up ice cubes with their hand and putting it in a glass and then proceeding to pour customers' drinks. It was not terrible, but I won't come back."
