"We decided to book a night and dinner as a wee treat to ourselves. We’ve stayed here before and really enjoyed it. The staff are excellent and make the place even more special. I have to call out Jordan that works in the bar serving customers. He is naturally friendly, professional and courteous. He is an asset to the team. Meal was lovely and we reserved the lovely sofa in front of the fire after dinner. However there was a couple sat there but we mentioned it to the staff. They were very polite to the couple and let them finish their drinks. Jordan again handled it brilliantly. When they left the staff plumped up the cushions, lite candles and asked us through, it was lovely. Then to make it even better they brought us a free glass of fizz and some chocolates to apologise. It didn’t need an apology in our view but this was them going above and beyond. Breakfast was amazing, products high quality and cooked to perfection. Fully recommended."

"This place was awesome! I've been traveling in Europe for months and have been missing Mexican food. This place was so good I went twice in a three day stay! The queso is superb and my favorite was the trio of fish tacos. The prices were very reasonable, too. Nice atmosphere, great wait staff, excellent selection of drinks even Mexican beer! I highly recommend!"

"Just took a delivery of a Sals Kiev with chips and garlic bread. We asked for the garlic bread to be crispy (as it always should be) and the receptionist said no problem. What we got was disgusting. The pizza was cold, the chips were frozen fries and the garlic bread was a finger roll with garlic butter in the middle awful (and cold). The pizza dough was also under cooked which I would have thought is almost impossible. We called back to register our concerns and the receptionist was less than helpful. She basically didn't give a c**p. Some customer service. The strange thing is we were not asking for out money back we were just giving feedback but she didn't care. This is only my 2nd tripadvisor review ever and I hope the Big Als owner sees this and takes some action. We asked the receptionist to pass our concerns on to the manager but I seriously doubt that he was informed. Maybe a change of staff would be in order. The sad thing is Big Als 20 years ago was really good. Obviously standards have dropped. We will never order from Big Als again. Just a pity we don't have any decent take outs in Ballymena."

"We have been a few times to DennistounBBQ dining in and taking away. Dining in we have had fairly good experiences over the years, but unfortunately not so great taking away. Firstly, the Chicken burgers delicious, the hamburger/kinney burger not quite so good, quite overdone. We had ordered in advance and walked down, to be told it would be another 15 minutes (10 mins after our allotted time) which is no big deal really, however it ended up being about 20 mins late. Again, not the worst thing in the world, but the place wasn't that busy, and we could see food being prepared there was not a lot cooking. Add to that we saw our fries sitting for a fair while before the burgers were ready it explained why they were soggy when we ate them. To summarise food is good, reminded me of a much better Five Guys, but the service/timing is a bit off."

"The vegan burger went through a very ropey phase a few years ago (ludicrously tiny, bland and overpriced) but I am thrilled that this changed under new management and the plant based burger is great! Editing this review because last time I went (early spring 2024) just after reopening from some redecoration/renovations, the menu has completely changed with the result that there isn't a single plant based meal. There used to be some great options before the menu changed. Now, the only thing on the entire menu was a sharing nachos platter for two which had a vegan cheese option. Not what most people want for their dinner I ordered because I was dining with someone else and didn't want to make a fuss and go elsewhere. But unfortunately unless this is remedied I won't be returning. It's not a big ask to at least have a plant based burger on your menu along with your other burger options surely....this must be the only pub in the area not to offer one."

"Henry's is an excellent spot to enjoy a delicious burger and fantastic cocktails. They go above and beyond to satisfy vegan burger lovers with creative fillings. The fried pickles are a must-try, and it's a perfect place to dine with both vegan and non-vegan friends and family."

"It was our first and last time at the Tipsy Cow. We booked a table for breakfast and got poached eggs and the baked eggs. Food arrived in a timely manner but was a far cry from what was described on the menu. Baked eggs were meant to be eggs on a bed of vegetables with tomato sauce and sourdough bread. What was received was a bowl of tomato soup with 8 or so baby plum tomatoes floating near the bottom and a single egg haphazardly baked on top. The egg white was not fully cooked and there were no vegetables to be found in the bowl of tomato soup. To make matters worse, I wasn 't even given a spoon for the soup eggs and instead had to fish out bits of tomato and uncooked egg with a fork. The staff never once checked in to ask if everything was okay with our meal. Service was poor in general with staff being more interested in gossiping at the bar area than tending to their patrons. We waited around 15 minutes for the bill after asking for it. It never arrived so we had to go up to the bar where all the staff were congregating to pay for our meal and finally leave. A poor experience all around."

"Ordered a huge order from these guys after completing some On Job Training with my company (original company we ordered with (won't name here let us down . The guys told us it would take a while to complete as our order was in 66 parts. Sooo tasty, and turned up early; had to make the driver wait while I went to the cash point!!! Would recommend to anyone, especially those needing a good meal. This Type of service I give a good Rating!!!! ;"

"Food very nice but extremely slow service. Place wasn’t too busy and what other tables there were seemed equally as annoyed. From what I could see the hold up was a young lady working on the pizza ovens who clearly wasn’t having a great day. Ordered the rocket salad which should have come dressed but it didn’t. Asked the staff but they said there was none. It was on the menu though and we’d had it before dressed. To not even offer an alternative wasn’t very attentive. The salad was basically rocket leaves and Parmesan. Kids dessert was on the menu as coming with hot chocolate and marshmallows but it never came. Had to chase this up."

"The service was very slow upon arrival, we waited a while to get a drink and menus, with no acknowledgment from staff. We ordered the Sunday calvery expecting to help ourselves (Like you would generally expect to do at a calvery), however, we were served the food from the staff direct from the calvery. Which i have never experienced before. We felt that this was a despirate attempt to save money, by means of portion control! Myself and my husband left feeling hungry still and what was even more shocking was that even though my husband did not want to eat a lot of the vegetables on offer, they didnt give any extra portions of other foods on the calvety which he actually liked! As a result after our meal we both felt very unsatisfied. It was very small portions and they seemed to be scared of giving you what is considered an 'average adult ' amount. However, despite the carefully placed small portions the food was very tasty! I just wish the staff were a little more observant, welcoming and we could have actually have helped ourselves to the food on offer as we always have done at other calveries."

"really love lebanese food but absolutely disgusted with this place...starters humous and chicken pieces were okay...wife had some garlic bread which were very nice and pleasant...well along came the mains...i ordered a FULL baby chicken priced at 15 pounds...their was only half a chicken on my plate...i queried with waiter and he insisted it was a full chicken...i felt bemused...i spoke to the manager...hear his excuse...he said he only gave us half as it was easy to cook and would taste better...i was shocked and speechless...he did offer me a few pieces of chicken...i couldnt be bothered arguing...along came some chicken which was not nice and looked and tastes raw...my wife ordered falafel wrap which had no taste and felt like she was eating charcoal...anyways we asked for a bill...we literally ordered 2 juices...2 starters...full on mains and the toal was £45.00 which includes a service charge of £5.00. we were disgusted to see a service charge...anyways my wife said weve had a good day out in london...lets just pay and leave and forget making any fuss...we left and we were hungry...we brought some nuts on the way home at the train station. please avoid as we have been to other better places on edgware road"

"We are staying just down the road and we're looking for a nice local pub for a drink and some food, so we popped in on Friday evening. The first thing that we both noticed straight away, was how busy it was. This is not a criticism as it was so nice to see a full pub on a Friday night, with what was obviously lots of regulars having a drink or two. Very refreshing and everyone seemed to know each other. The landlady was very warm and friendly and we felt very welcome. They also loved our dog, Bert, but that's a gimme really, as he's so friendly. A few decent ales on tap but to be honest, the real star of the show was the food. A very decent menu offering at very fair prices. We both chose the steak and kidney pudding with chips and it did not disappoint. The crust was just like my Mum used to make and the filling, gorgeous steak, kidney and gravy, was from top to bottom. A full and stunning pud which we both enjoyed so much. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and if we are local again, we'll be back"

"We used the Pub on 3 evenings while in Seaford for a weeks Holiday on our first visit we were greeted by the very friendly Publican who chatted with us between serving people we also had some conversation with a few of the regular customers this made us feel very welcome. There are large screen TV`s there for watching mainly Sporting events and they have a Darts team who play in local leagues although we did not stay much later than about 8pm I would guess that the pub is a very popular one with plenty of customers in the evenings. I drink Stella Artois and I have never had a better pint of it it was excellent. Before finding this Pub we had been into most of the others in the area but If I lived in Seaford `The Cinque Ports` would be my local without a doubt. Chris"

"this is a wonderful place. We look forward to seeing that we are going. we are rarely visitors as we only go here when we travel to armagh to go to the marketplace theatre and with kovid it is only our third visit. in about three years, so they don't make much of a living on us. we have never been disappointed here and have really enjoyed our last visit. they receive the meaning of hospitality: the greeting is warm, the eating is great and the whole personal charming. I chose a steak chip, but it was a scarce thing to a delicious sounding vegetarian risotto, but it was my third din in 4 days with the other two not meat, so steak it was. I asked for medium, I have medium. the flesh was really tasteful. I asked for English senf (best in the world) and it was a yes and I tipped the tweeper rings for taboos and it was no problem. only in order to pass on the number of so-called steak houses, which have not been English, is as exaggerated as it is unacceptable. the tasty steak had a bacon jam on top. I never heard of it. it was salty, sweet so speck, balsamico vinegar perhaps sugar, I ate it all, although my personal preference remains senf. I would like to try it as a spread on roasted crumbs with a slightly fried egg above. the only thing I would change in my meal is the pfeffer sauce, but again it is personal taste as I would add double cream and much more black pfeffer. my wife decided to laugh and she explained it delicious. everything in all in a cozy environment. Hopefully we'll be back sooner than later."

"My self husband and sister in law visited On 23rd sept Ordered starter to come first then main meals. The starter and main meals arrived together so asked informed the waitress That we asked for starter to be served first The waitress that brought the food out was not very polite or helpful I know that the main meals were left under a hot plate whilst the starter was consumed because we returned the main course I know the staff were busy but customer service needs to be looked at If I treated people in my job like this I would be pulled up and reprimanded. The other thing is female toilets need to be checked more often"

"The BEST pizza and chicken in Surrey, with the nicest and most genuine team who are always happy and friendly and give such great service. Genuinely devastated that I’ve just received an email to say they are closing because of the redevelopment in Oxshott. Had to come and leave 5* and urge them to soldier on somewhere else because their business is unbelievable and every person I recommend them to (and it’s a LOT) says exactly the same they’re the best!! "I always enjoy the burgers at GBK, though I can never finish them. Food: 4.0 I recently opted for the blue cheese burger at the Spitalfields location, and it was truly delicious! That being said, I attribute my inability to finish the meal to the cheese. I only asked for the 1 portion. . . I can only imagine how rich the two portions of blue cheese is! The skinny chips were delicious as always. If crisps and chips had a baby, that baby would be the GBK skinny chip! So cute, crispy, and tasty! My partner in crime shared a chocolate milkshake with me (seriously, kudos if you can finish one of those behemoths! The flavour was great wonderfully creamy and chocolatey. That being said, I found the chocolate sprinkles scattered throughout more annoying that anything. They don't add anything to the flavour, just an unexpected crunch I never get used to. For whatever reason, I don't like my drinks crunchy! Their strawberry milkshakes, though those are amazing! Service/ Ambiance: 3.0 The ambiance and the service are pretty interlinked in this case, so I'm rating them as one. I'm not a huge fan of this location. It is huge, but somehow completely crammed at all times. It has a feeling of being chaotic. The servers always seem a bit confused. People get pushy. They also wouldn't accept my taste card, so that was obviously pretty devastating. I'll probably be back. But the next time I want a GBK burger I may get it to takeaway."

"After a great experience on her first recent Groupon deal here, my friend bought the same deal and arranged to go again there were six of us. The offer was 2 courses and a bottle wine between 2. 1 From reception, we were directed to a lift, to go up one floor and 'follow ' the blue signs. Reception staff offered a guide but we felt we should be OK.... There was no blue sign as we got out of the lift ... So we milled about a bit, then split up and explored! 2 of us went down a long corridor and found a sign which took us down a few flights of stairs!? God knows where the others went as they arrived 5 minutes later Bear in mind one of our party cannot walk far. Eventually, we found the restaurant and we were were ushered to our table right at the end, in a cold, dimly lit area, opposite what must be the breakfast hotplate area. It was not very pleasant. The chairs and tables were 'tired '. There was a heater however, which we quickly switched on; but we didnt really get totally warmed up. The waiting staff were lovely though. We were given the menu which was dramatically reduced from the previous visit, to 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts. £7 extra for 3 courses . We were shocked and disappointed in te lack of choice compared to the choices advertised. When we came to order wine it was House white, rose or red again no choice unlike previous visit. It was the last straw and my friend, embarrassed after raving about her last visit , asked to speak to the manager. She calmly but firmly told him of her previous visit; the extent of the menu and wine choices; compared to the choices on this ocassion on the same deal, and those as advertised on Groupon. He blamed Groupon and said we should complain to them as paraphrasing here the till/computer wouldn 't let him enter choices outside the Groupon menu as printed. We asked if we could pay more for a different choice as last time was £5 extra for steak . He would mot allow that. The food when it came was OK, though portions were small. The white wine was awful, so we changed 2 bottles to Rose which was only marginally better. 2 of the party ordered beers, and the manager, after prompting, agreed to give 50% off the beers. After her great original experience, my friend had also, unfortunately, bought another Groupon deal for a spa day. After reading reviews for the Spa, she 's not looking forward to that! So, my advice is Don 't buy a Groupon deal for this hotel. Don 't book until renovations are complete."
