"this is a wonderful place. We look forward to seeing that we are going. we are rarely visitors as we only go here when we travel to armagh to go to the marketplace theatre and with kovid it is only our third visit. in about three years, so they don't make much of a living on us. we have never been disappointed here and have really enjoyed our last visit. they receive the meaning of hospitality: the greeting is warm, the eating is great and the whole personal charming. I chose a steak chip, but it was a scarce thing to a delicious sounding vegetarian risotto, but it was my third din in 4 days with the other two not meat, so steak it was. I asked for medium, I have medium. the flesh was really tasteful. I asked for English senf (best in the world) and it was a yes and I tipped the tweeper rings for taboos and it was no problem. only in order to pass on the number of so-called steak houses, which have not been English, is as exaggerated as it is unacceptable. the tasty steak had a bacon jam on top. I never heard of it. it was salty, sweet so speck, balsamico vinegar perhaps sugar, I ate it all, although my personal preference remains senf. I would like to try it as a spread on roasted crumbs with a slightly fried egg above. the only thing I would change in my meal is the pfeffer sauce, but again it is personal taste as I would add double cream and much more black pfeffer. my wife decided to laugh and she explained it delicious. everything in all in a cozy environment. Hopefully we'll be back sooner than later."

"I always enjoy the burgers at GBK, though I can never finish them. Food: 4.0 I recently opted for the blue cheese burger at the Spitalfields location, and it was truly delicious! That being said, I attribute my inability to finish the meal to the cheese. I only asked for the 1 portion. . . I can only imagine how rich the two portions of blue cheese is! The skinny chips were delicious as always. If crisps and chips had a baby, that baby would be the GBK skinny chip! So cute, crispy, and tasty! My partner in crime shared a chocolate milkshake with me (seriously, kudos if you can finish one of those behemoths! The flavour was great wonderfully creamy and chocolatey. That being said, I found the chocolate sprinkles scattered throughout more annoying that anything. They don't add anything to the flavour, just an unexpected crunch I never get used to. For whatever reason, I don't like my drinks crunchy! Their strawberry milkshakes, though those are amazing! Service/ Ambiance: 3.0 The ambiance and the service are pretty interlinked in this case, so I'm rating them as one. I'm not a huge fan of this location. It is huge, but somehow completely crammed at all times. It has a feeling of being chaotic. The servers always seem a bit confused. People get pushy. They also wouldn't accept my taste card, so that was obviously pretty devastating. I'll probably be back. But the next time I want a GBK burger I may get it to takeaway."

"After a great experience on her first recent Groupon deal here, my friend bought the same deal and arranged to go again there were six of us. The offer was 2 courses and a bottle wine between 2. 1 From reception, we were directed to a lift, to go up one floor and 'follow ' the blue signs. Reception staff offered a guide but we felt we should be OK.... There was no blue sign as we got out of the lift ... So we milled about a bit, then split up and explored! 2 of us went down a long corridor and found a sign which took us down a few flights of stairs!? God knows where the others went as they arrived 5 minutes later Bear in mind one of our party cannot walk far. Eventually, we found the restaurant and we were were ushered to our table right at the end, in a cold, dimly lit area, opposite what must be the breakfast hotplate area. It was not very pleasant. The chairs and tables were 'tired '. There was a heater however, which we quickly switched on; but we didnt really get totally warmed up. The waiting staff were lovely though. We were given the menu which was dramatically reduced from the previous visit, to 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts. £7 extra for 3 courses . We were shocked and disappointed in te lack of choice compared to the choices advertised. When we came to order wine it was House white, rose or red again no choice unlike previous visit. It was the last straw and my friend, embarrassed after raving about her last visit , asked to speak to the manager. She calmly but firmly told him of her previous visit; the extent of the menu and wine choices; compared to the choices on this ocassion on the same deal, and those as advertised on Groupon. He blamed Groupon and said we should complain to them as paraphrasing here the till/computer wouldn 't let him enter choices outside the Groupon menu as printed. We asked if we could pay more for a different choice as last time was £5 extra for steak . He would mot allow that. The food when it came was OK, though portions were small. The white wine was awful, so we changed 2 bottles to Rose which was only marginally better. 2 of the party ordered beers, and the manager, after prompting, agreed to give 50% off the beers. After her great original experience, my friend had also, unfortunately, bought another Groupon deal for a spa day. After reading reviews for the Spa, she 's not looking forward to that! So, my advice is Don 't buy a Groupon deal for this hotel. Don 't book until renovations are complete."

"We had the Prince Charles is overrated and sadly that was an apt description of our meal. We last went to 7Bone 5 years ago and thought we would go back as fancied a proper burger. The burger arrived with chilli cheese chips and frickles. The burger itself was OK but it was served in a bread roll that showed no vestige of having even been shown a toaster or grill and had gone so soggy at the bottom it stuck to the burger with a wallpaper paste type consistency. I peeled the burger from said roll and ate that...I was hungry. The chilli cheese chips, what can I say! Insipid, lack lustre with a splodge of chilli cheese dumped over the top. If the above wasn't enough the biggest disappointment was the frickles. Last time we had them they were succulent long slices coated in a light tempura batter and we couldn't get enough of them they were so delish. This time the were bits of gherkin cut across ways and embedded literally in a hard batter. I had to cut them out of the batter to eat and gave up in the end it was too much of a chore for so little result. The blue cheese dip that accompanied the frickles had no taste of blue cheese and was so runny it dripped all over the place when used. Left for a few minutes and an oily layer appeared on the surface, not at all inviting. The place was buzzing and the service was excellent hence the 3 stars. We won't be returning."
