"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."

"Well what can I say about this place, I'll start by saying the food was very nice but the rest of the service was lacking. Tried to use meerkat meals 241 offer my advice would be don't bother attempting. Rang twice to book as advised...on the app and was told to ring back the 1st time and no name taken the 2nd time? Anyway back to the visit....outside its stated on a board 241 cocktails all day every day apart from Friday Saturday evenings. Being Wednesday evening we was told that they didn't do cocktails only sangria so that's what we had. When we asked about the meerkat meal offer we was told 241 on starters, mains and deserts (standard) when attempting to order we was then told we had to have the same item for starters, mains etc. We wanted tapas not the same meal what is the point of that! We then asked for other choices of menus i.e. the main menu we had seen online we were given the all you can eat menu £14.95 and lunch menu that was served after 5pm??? Random??? After 20+mins we just opted for the easiest option of the all you can eat because it was getting very confusing to say the least! There was only us in the place may I add. A couple who came in after us tried to use a taste card with no joy either. Main point for the waiter which I will call shambles' is know you offers at least, if your not going to honour discounts such as meerkat meals taste card don't be on their sites and there is definitely a reason why you place is empty. If you want everyone to eat from the all you can eat menu then just offer that. Seems like shambles' was on commission for bamboozling people into this menu and also selling sangria. What happened to the cocktails on the menu??? Anyway good luck if you visit"

"Greeted at the door by a selection of Gaucho 's smiliest employees, you are instantly made to feel important in the glitzy interior of London 's favourite steak churning chain. The first stage and a true highlight of the Gaucho experience is the introduction to the different cuts of meat that the restaurant offers. This includes a viewing of each cut, and an explanation as to how the anatomical composition of the eastern Argentinian cows grazing on 19 different species of Las Pampas grass affects the taste and texture of each. Naturally, the second stage is the food and drink itself. We sipped on our delicious strawberry and elderflower martini 'special ' cocktails before tucking into a shared starter the extremely tasty Sausage Platter. The mains soon followed. I had ordered a 400g rare fillet steak that, had it been on the menu, would have fallen somewhere between the Bife de Lomo and the Chateaubriand. I was assured that I would be able to cut it with a spoon an audacious claim but not drastically inaccurate. With this, I picked at thyme finished Chips and Spring Greens that were also brilliantly cooked. Finally, I sampled the Dulce De Leche Profiteroles and the 'special ' chocolate meringue cake for dessert, which, as I day dream about what I am to cook for my lunch, have my mouth watering even now. I was there for a saturday evening dinner for three peak time yet the service was little less than exceptional, despite (or perhaps helped by) the fact that the waitress verbally contracted to serve our table claimed to have only very recently been hired. A little management led kerfuffle over our table towards the end was made up for by the gift of a glass of dessert wine each, a touch that rounded off an excellent evening at this meat lovers paradise."
