"today my daughter and I first visited bonbon for a brunch. the waitress, larissa was so sweet and welcoming. I can be quite fussy and she knew the menu inside and outside and made some great recommendations that proved to be perfect for us. nothing was too much annoyed. eating was absolutely beautiful. I had this banana bread sandwich, slightly grilled with fresh berries and mascarpone and my daughter had a ei and speck bagle. it was an absolute joy. our dog was made very welcome and Covid rules were thoroughly present, but not intrusive in anyway. it all came on time, and small things like the order to take and let us pay, all were done in a time-efficient way that I appreciated. a perfect visit."

"I am really sorry to complain about my evening this Restaurant but having been there probably 2 years before when it was Fantastic !! it seems since to have changed hands !! I was celebrating a 21st came away embarrassed at how bad it was !! wine was served warm food was cold the Chicken supreme looked like it came out of the Microwave ! "The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere with great views of Oakham high street. There is a separate area for enjoying drinks and perusing the menu, which is delightful. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the selection of drinks is extensive and reasonably priced. We visited on a Tuesday night and took advantage of the offer for two people to eat for £28, which included poppadom and pickles to start, as well as a main course with a choice of rice or naan bread. We tried the king prawn Goan curry, which was absolutely delicious with succulent, large prawns. The pilau rice and garlic and coriander bread were also excellent. This meal was one of the best Indian dishes I have ever had, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. I will definitely be returning in the future."

We tried the black dishes and the lamb, both of which were of excellent quality, well-prepared, and satisfying. The food was beautifully presented and freshly cooked, which was apparent. The atmosphere was lovely, and the establishment was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I did notice that there could be more options on the menu, but it wasn't a major issue. If you're staying at the hotel, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. "we booked an early evening table on Saturday. at the arrival we were led to the restaurant in the hotel, but the only waiter was busy in the next room so that we were standing one before the recognition. he was not aware of the booking (it had been done on the morning) but sat down on a table of our choice. there was only one other table. we came with the menu and when the waiter returned to our drink order, we asked if he had a cocktail list. he replied that cocktails are only available on order at the hotelbar. when we ordered food, it took an old one until they arrived and we were peckish, so the waiter asked if we could get some bread and butter while waiting. there were side plates and butter knives on the table. After a further slow 10 minutes the waiter brought us two slices toast and a few butter packets that let us laugh and gave us something concerned about what was before. Luckily, the appetizers were and the main were pleasantly aromatic. when we asked about the desserts after the bill, the bill was not reduced and the waiter had to make a photo of my reservation on my phone before he went into another room and produced the correct bill. After dinner we went to the bar that looked good with the refurbished holding cells and prison thema. all in all, nice eating, beautiful dining room shame, no one seems to go."

"If it wasn't raining we would have ate elsewhere. We were not disappointed, the food was average, if a little worse, than normal. I had the sirloin steak, my wife had a chicken burger. Both served on wooden platters, not a fan. Steak was not the best was cooked medium rare as requested, but just edible. Chips slightly underdone and average fare. Cherry tomatoes were sour, come on guys roasting them should bring out some sweetness. (buy some Piccolo ones) Glad we didn't have starter or desert. All done to a price. We don't have breakfasts anymore, Crowne plaza food used to be great. A race to mediocrity, what a shame. Staff pleasant and attentive, place clean and decorated in a nice modern fashion."

"Found this place purely by chance on Trip Advisor when we were looking for a place for Breakfast. Me and my wife love cosy French cafe-type places and we were very hopeful of this place. And we were not disappointed. The interior was cosy, comfy and welcoming-perfect for a morning coffee and croissant. Speaking of the coffee and croissants, the bread was flaky and delicious and the coffee more than passed the test. I had the eggs and bacon and my wife had the salmon. Both very nice but the ambience of the cafe pushed it to greatness. Really happy with it, made you feel like live visited a quaint village in France, which certainly beats the reality of the bustling high street of Kings Heath. Will definitely visit again."

"Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. Despite making a booking through opentable, there was no record of it and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The staff claimed they were busy, but the restaurant was actually quite quiet. It took a long time to order drinks, one of which came in a dirty glass, and ordering food was also a slow process. The portions of calamari we ordered were uneven, and the roast beef dish came with only a small amount of beef. After finishing our mains, no one came to clear our table and the staff disappeared from the restaurant. We had to search for them in the bar. It took 3.5 hours for four people to be served two courses, which was not acceptable. This experience was especially disappointing as my family had traveled from Leeds with two young children."

"The service at this restaurant was awful. Our food came out before our drinks, the waiting staff forgot our drinks multiple times, and they charged us for our drinks three times, resulting in a bill over £200! We went for bottomless brunch with two friends and while the food was okay, the portions were small and we had to go out to get more food afterwards. The staff were often on their phones and seemed a bit clueless. Some customers who came in for drinks ended up leaving because after 10 minutes of ordering, the bar staff hadn't even started making their drinks and were just standing around doing nothing."

"Room was booked last minute as we were disappointed with our first choice of hotel. The welcome was lovely aswas the room. It was my wifes birthday and we stayed in their quad room which was huge, comfortable and warm. The bathroom was clean with a power shower. Opted for Scottish breakfast on the first morning which was very filling. Overall it's a great place to stay within walking distance from the city centre and the local pub was very cheap and inviting. Would definitely stay again."
