"Difficult to describe really: 1. In my experience the food has always been delivered quickly, thought perhaps a little too quickly as I once ordered while on my way home, website claimed delivery would be in an hour but I got a call saying they were outside my house within 15 minutes. 2. The kebab meat, although generally tasty, can sometimes seem a little undercooked, with some of it actually still being pinkish upon closer inspection, and I noticed that whenever I ate it I would soon develop an upset stomach. 3. The saving grace is the sub I ordered from there, which honestly was one of the best things I have ever tasted. (Spicy beef, Chinese chicken, pepperoni and peri chicken <3)"

"Had recently seen posts on Facebook regarding this restaurant having new management and thought we'd pop in pre-film. Visited on Saturday night (7th May) with my family, booked a table well in advance, were greeted very nicely upon entry which always makes things a lot nicer. Upon seating we noticed that something wasn't quite right, the restaurant was pretty much full, the most full we've seen it in a long while to be honest, partway through us ordering our drinks the manager went into the kitchen we assumed to speak with his kitchen team, he didn't come back out through the duration of our meal. We could see the cooks trying their hardest and we knew that the wait on our food would be a while. Me and my daughter watched the cooks and observed the team, working in hospitality myself I am more aware, filling in for one another. The place where the manager was somebody had replaced, another manager was speaking to tables. In summary, we waited long, but we knew about it in advance, the food was good when it eventually came, the manager did come around towards the end of our meal and spoke to us at length regarding the issue that had led to the events and his honesty was refreshing, the team were obviously strained however there were still smiles, sounds of laughter, overall the service was great, food was good, communication was brilliant. The only negative was an older couple at the entrance being extremely rude when told they couldn't be seated, which the female manager dealt with very well may I add. Will return for sure. Well done!"

"we had a disappointing experience with a pub lunch, but frankie and benny are prepared for this disappointment. the personal was great. they found us a table for five big adults. they quickly took our drink order and delivered exactly what we ordered, including the special drink request of my father. we shared a meat festival star and a pizza style garlauchbrot. it was just enough to the juices flow for our main courses and tasted fantastic the most important courses were also fab. my sister in law loves her grill sauce. the penny of my mother came out hot. my salat was right, I wanted some extra salat dressing just for the case, but I didn't need it. the Speck double cheeseburger defeated my sister. my dad really enjoyed his ribs when we approached them. puddings were really nice to brownies and chocolate fudge cake for my sister and sister in law. dad had apple cake that comes with both vinegar and ice cream. I had the frightened basket cream, caramel ice cream and banane in a cookie shaped basket. we all agreed that eating was much better than we could have gotten in the pub and the service was absolutely extraordinary. They also brought me a cupcake with a candle so I could fly out. they played stevie wonders happy birthday. I was really touched, and when it came to the bill, my sister in the law loaded the francie and benny app on her phone and we have 50% of our main courses. my father was very satisfied/ I can't stress how good the service was. all the staff members were happy that our meals felt special and I even have a box to bring my cupcake home. I think all our meal times will go there. happier place for us."

"After waiting over 2 hours for our food, we were disappointed to be greeted with a greasy and sloppy box of food. When we called for an update, we were met with a rude and incoherent response, indicating that the person may have been intoxicated. We will not be dining at this restaurant again. Good luck to them if the Health and Safety Executive comes for an inspection."

"Upon entering the restaurant, I felt a great atmosphere, but as a person with hearing difficulties, I struggled to communicate with my dining companion. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal. While the food was good, the portion sizes and menu options were lacking. I was informed by my server that I would need to order a side dish to complement my tiny main course. The high prices for the small portions were a major turnoff for me. I might consider returning if they increased their portion sizes. Another issue was the drink menu; I ordered a classic martini but was surprised to find it wasn't listed. The bartender's attempt at a martini was a letdown - it was only gin with no vermouth and tasted diluted. Overall, a disappointing experience."

"When I asked for the bar snacks menu, I was sent from one person to another just to get a menu, only to be told they couldn't find it and might be out of menus altogether. The quality of the dishes was disappointing. The chicken was extremely dry and served lukewarm, while the crispy squid was just a soggy piece of fried squid that lacked flavor. It's disheartening to see this, and unfortunately, I left as a dissatisfied customer."

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant at midday today. The food did not arrive until 2.40pm. The chicken in the chicken burgers was not sufficient to fill the buns. They made a mistake with the toastie filling, so I called them and they said they would send a replacement. At 3.20pm, the manager called my house and initially said the replacement was on its way. However, he then became aggressive towards my partner, raising his voice and interrupting him. He blamed everything but his own business for the delay and errors, even blaming us despite living within the delivery area and paying £3 for delivery. It is now 4.55pm and the replacement toastie still has not arrived. I paid for something I never received and received abusive behavior from the owner. I will not be returning to this place as the customer service is terrible. I am now uncomfortable knowing that this angry man has my phone number and address."

"THe slug has always been the best place for a bottomless brunch for me. Not the case on my last visit. Table of 2 we got overlooked. Felt in the way and like a nusance, did complain to the managers they said they where short staffed, but the bar staff where doing nothing laughing and joking while the brunch staff run off there feet. "We had made a reservation at The Wilderness a while back, but unfortunately our plans were disrupted by COVID. Finally, we were able to visit for lunch on Saturday, and it was definitely worth the wait. We chose the ten-course tasting menu along with a couple of glasses of their 'hacked' wines. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and water, and our meal began. The variety of dishes was outstanding; from crispy pig cheek with apricot gel, to steak tartare, turbot, and mackerel. Standout dishes included a delicious beetroot ice-cream with a rich ajoblanco, and a fantastic mushroom and 'bread pudding' that was like a gourmet version of mushrooms on toast. The service was excellent, each course was tasty, and the wines, especially the Chardonnay 2.0 and the Vermouth, were top-notch. While the meal was on the pricier side, the quality of the food, service, ambiance, and music made it all worthwhile."

"RACIST staff. I asked if there were any promotions prior to ordering. No promotions after 12am . OK fine, no problem. I then proceeded to order a calzone whereby I can chose any four toppings. When I asked the staff to explain the toppings I got asked have you never been to a pizza shop before Ofcourse I have but I haven 't physically seen the toppings so I would like a little guidance please I responded. Then the main guy taking the orders said something along the lines of are you not British/ you don 't know how to speak English I immediately thought to myself.
