"Upon entering the restaurant, I felt a great atmosphere, but as a person with hearing difficulties, I struggled to communicate with my dining companion. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal. While the food was good, the portion sizes and menu options were lacking. I was informed by my server that I would need to order a side dish to complement my tiny main course. The high prices for the small portions were a major turnoff for me. I might consider returning if they increased their portion sizes. Another issue was the drink menu; I ordered a classic martini but was surprised to find it wasn't listed. The bartender's attempt at a martini was a letdown - it was only gin with no vermouth and tasted diluted. Overall, a disappointing experience."

Verrrrry nice staff, bright and open. And a great outdoors area to eat. Over looking St . Peters Square , easy for the tram. Opens to the public this Monday. Had a nice time xx

Conveniently located near the car park and the Palace Theatre, this restaurant offers a peaceful atmosphere during teatime. The fish was delicious, but the chips seemed reheated and everything was overly salty.

Attended cocktail making class with husband and son. Liam our Mixologist/Host was absolutely brilliant. He made ref experience. So much so that we stayed for 2 extra cocktails each and food. Highly recommended. View menu

Been here many times for drinks however we decided to get food this time before an arena trip. We ate relatively early but there were a few tables in and some drinkers around, nice atmosphere even though they looked like they were setting up for an event. The food was spot on! I had the gnocchi and when it arrived I thought it looked quite small, looks can be deceiving it was great. The cherry and chocolate done dessert I will definitely be coming back for!

beautiful location in st. peters place most with view of the library and the place. we ordered prawn lollipops and squid for beginners who were absolutely divine! our main were beautiful, rib-eye steak boiled to perfection with blue cheese sauce and of course I had to update on cowboy fries! our waiter for the evening was very attentive and recommended a beautiful French red to accompany our head. Overall, I would definitely recommend the anthologist, it is trendy, current and very favorable. what a way to spend your birthday. 5*

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
