"We went to this restaurant for a Sunday roast to celebrate a birthday, but it seemed like it was the chef's day off. The food was not good and came out cold. We sent the roasts back, but they just reheated them under the grill and brought them back out on the same plates with the utensils still on. It was a really disappointing experience, from the food to the staff. We won't be returning. The price per person was £10–20, and we would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 1."

"My boyfriend and I had a 7pm booking at Missoula Montana for Valentine’s Day, turned up a little early to have a drink beforehand and we were seated already by 6:30pm. The service was absolutely excellent especially from Lilith. She was very polite and always made sure everything was okay for us. The food was absolutely delicious; service was super quick. Overall would definitely recommend this place to anyone becoming one of my favourite bars in York!"

"We have been seated at the coldest table next to the Window , close to the kitchen. It was my mums birthday and we did make staff aware of it. Nobody have done check back when we had our starters which were not the greatest....We have waited for mains over an hour, nobody gave us cutlery after we had our starters , we were have to request. When we did that , the girl with dark blonde hair rolled her eyes on us. My mums majito was most of it ice , she couldn’t drink it , we asked for another one instead with no ice and in a smaller glass. The manager ignored our request and bought a drink to the table in the same long glass with full of soda that my mum couldn’t taste alcohol. The noice level was way to high the chefs were shouting and constantly complaining that none of the staff taking food. The entire our service was spoiled. Additionally, nobody asked us if we have any allergies. My brother had a burger with a spicy mustard which is not specified in a menu, myself I am allergic to spicy. Theoretically I could of been the one who tried the burger to check if child’s food is warm. They lucky that I didn’t. over , neither the waitress or the manager haven’t introduced themselves to us and it makes sense now. Overall , we wouldn’t recommend the place. Too pricy for a horrible service."

"the bar area was very busy and loud and our table was right next to a slot machine. confusion about my drink order, three try to get it right! the setting of a senior server was disappointing-didn not smile and seemed as if we would annoy them! eating was also extremely disappointing, as it was not better than a heat and the possibility of supply. there are no prices on the website menu and when I saw £1500 for the smokey joe burger my expectations were high. but my food came as a burger with undercut speck (not crispy as advertised) with a few fries! no extra bbq dip and no sign of the melted cheese and slowly cooked bark in a smokey sauce! we also ordered the grilled chicken and chorizo skewers, but the huh had not seen, a grill it was just white pieces of pure boiled chicken and the garn and calamari duo was over boiled / roasted pieces of food that were just bought from every super market frozen gang! we couldn't expect to get out of there!"

"I don't know why the so many negative reviews here. Have ordered over 10 times. Sometimes the toppings are a bit sparse, depends on the dude doing it, but friendly staff etc and drivers make up for it. Most of the time pizza is made very well. I've asked to have the toppings a bit better distributed more of them before after a bad experience and they definitely made it better on that delivery. Good pizza, good guys"

"Food was nice but asked to get 2 desserts to take away, absolutely disgraceful! Dessert was wrapped in tin foil! Had to send the Eaton Mess back as there was NO meringue, just whipped cream from a can and a bit of raspberry sauce and when I got it in a container there was about a tablespoon of meringue on top! The bottom of the container is about the size of my palm!! Two mouthfuls and it was gone!! The cheesecake was smaller then the size of a pen and very dry/stale. The price I paid for it, £5.75 EACH!!! Was not even worth the price of one. Never again"

"I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and always gave it a good rating, but last night was the final straw. We had made a reservation for a table for three people, but upon arrival, we found our table dirty with food crumbs all over it, despite having a reserved sign. It was busy, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked a staff member to clean the table so we could order. After 15 minutes and no response, we asked again, but still no one came. We decided to leave without eating. This experience was absolutely unacceptable. The quality of service has declined since the previous managers and staff left. We will not be returning as loyal customers."

"I treated my friend to an annual day out and we decided to try Papa John's pizza for the first time. We chose the family feast deal which included 2 medium pizzas, 2 sides, and a drink for £22.99 - an amazing offer! We were pleasantly surprised to find a half-off deal for ordering 4 toppings on 2 medium pizzas. We went with hot buffalo wings and cheesy breadsticks, along with a Pepsi to drink. Although there was a technical issue with the online payment and I was charged twice, the issue was resolved promptly after contacting the bank. I appreciate the patience and helpfulness of the staff member who assisted me over the phone. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and look forward to getting the refund for the extra charge. "Downloaded the app. Nothing worked. Ordered at the bar, paid £2.25 extra for beef on my burrito bowl. When it came out, there was literally 5g of beef and sauce added to the smallest burrito bowl I have ever seen. The bowl itself was fine. But if I had paid just £10 for the bowl itself, as standard, I would have been furious. But then having paid £2.25 for an extra 5g of beef. After asking for an opinion from the staff (who were extremely helpful), it sounded like they either agreed and didn’t want to comment, or didn’t really know what a standard protein portion on a standard meal should be. Ground beef is cheap. Slow cooked ground beef is low maintenance, cheap easy to prepare. My concerns about the portion sizes were confirmed when I was brought out a 2nd portion of the beef… which appeared to be no more than 10g of beef (if you were being generous), and a lot of sauce. For context. At home, you could make 500g of the same thing for around £5.00… and as a business, buying at wholesale, bulk prices, you can make it a lot cheaper. So even if you were serving a standard portion of protein 20 30g for an adult you’d still make money, if you were buying wagyu ground beef from waitrose. If you are looking for decent food… give this one a miss. The service and drinks are all standard for a chain pub, its just the food that is a scam. Staff were 10/10 though, and brought me out a 2nd portion, with no drama. But even 2 portions of that beef wasn’t really enough protein for an adult. And there was far too much sauce to cover the fact that there was hardly any beef"
