"This restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Lincoln that should not be missed. The food is outstanding; the pulled pork is mouthwatering, the ribs are superb, and the sliders exceeded my expectations in size, offering fantastic value for money. The decor is warm and inviting, without any pretense, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. I've already been back and will definitely return again! "After using the pub for years always calling in on sat or Sun nights for a couple of drinks after fishing sometimes 2 3 or 4 of us last night there happened to be 4 of us we asked for another round of drinks at 940 only to be told we had missed last orders without anybody warning us so we're obviously very annoyed so we moved to another local pub who served us no problem at all"

"Went for lunch today with my other half, ordered 2 steak burgers with sweet potato fries and normal chips, my fries were completely burnt physically couldn’t eat them and my partners chips were undercooked, overall £48 including 2 cokes and onion rings, left feeling sick and now have dodgy stomachs after the dodgy meat burger. Not one to leave bad reviews but really disappointed and not cheap either. Service: Dine in"

"Called in on a day out in Truro. We were searching for somewhere to eat, and quite by luck we came across Chorleys. We looked at the menu outside, and were drawn in by that and the amazing aromas wafting out. Three of us each had a different burger, and shared some peri peri fries, which had a lovely kick to them, and the crispiest onion rings we’ve ever tasted. The food was of the highest quality, and the gentleman serving us was extremely polite and good at his job. We explained that one of our group had a dairy allergy, which was no problem and the cheese on that persons burger was exchanged for a dairy free alternative. We are visiting Cornwall again in a few weeks, and will travel down to Truro from Bude to eat there again. "Really solid. Burgers were great, loads of vegetarian options too. Would fully recommend booking in advance if you want to eat in as it's a tiny little place but agree with a lot of the other reviews, food was excellent, staff were friendly. Quite expensive for a burger I'd say but no complaints about the food. Be aware it's not toddler friendly in the sense that there no room for prams or high chairs, but they're happy to have you all the same and do have kids options, although they're honestly not much smaller than the adult portions really."

"Stayed at the campsite last weekend with my wife and son. We booked via the Pitchup website, where my wife left an honest review of our stay. The Blue Ship then disputed the review as being a 'fictitious guest ' which was laughable when she included photos from that weekend which included dated signs specific to the couple of days we visited and the booking was obviously on Pitchup 's system since it was made through them. It feels like a very dishonest practice to have reviews removed just because you don 't like them or because they aren 't 100% positive. The points my Wife made aligned with those of other guests, and the venue also argued with those customers so it seems they just don 't like receiving negative feedback but aren 't willing to improve the faults that customers report. The campsite is slightly expensive compared with others we 've stayed at and the facilities weren 't as good here, there are much more expensive places to stay, of course, but for the price paid you can almost certainly do better elsewhere and after the way the staff have unfortunately acted towards us via Pitchup we definitely won 't be spending our money with them again!"

"We visited Fort William in September and absolutely loved Grog Gruel. They serve the best cider, particularly the Thistly Cross whisky cask variety, and you can even buy it in bottles to take home. Our favorite bartender was Jay—he was very friendly and excellent at his job! We only enjoyed food and drinks downstairs, but everything we had was outstanding. We can't wait to return! "Even though the restaurant was empty, my food took a surprisingly long time to arrive. When my burger finally came, I was asked if I needed anything else. I requested mayo, and they brought out a full bottle to the table. After applying some mayo, I discovered the real reason for the delay: the burger was burnt and greasy. Throughout my visit, only one other customer came in and left, which confirmed that the staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves than attending to patrons. To make matters worse, the restroom was in an unacceptable state, with one side covered in mess. There’s really no excuse for that kind of hygiene. It must be incredibly frustrating for the owner to have such indifferent staff who don’t seem to care about their customers or their work."

"I ended up there more by chance and without a reservation and only had to wait a short time for a free table. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. The pricing is a bit unclear, there are no prices in the menu directly next to the dishes. There only seems to be a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses. My burger was tasty, but somehow nothing special, and I think £22 for a burger and fries is already a high price. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and the beer selection is good"

"I went to this restaurant with a group of friends for a meal. We ordered sea bass, which was served with potatoes and salad. Unfortunately, the potatoes were inedible because they were rock hard. My husband, who ordered steak, also tried to cut them with his steak knife but couldn't make any progress. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the cook replied, “I am doing my best!” While I understand that mistakes happen, when I raised the issue with the manager, she simply acknowledged the problem and said they would file a complaint. But who are they complaining to—the farmer? It seemed they didn’t realize the potatoes were undercooked. There was no apology or offer of a discount provided. As someone with Type 1 Diabetes, I needed to eat, but overall, the experience was very unprofessional and left a good meal ruined."

"We visited here for the first time last night. Originally thought it was just potatoes but it does so much more, burgers, pizza, chips etc. I had pulled pork burger with chips and my husband had chilli con carne burger with chips. The chips were gorgeous as were the burgers and very filling. I had 1 cocktail and my husband had 2 and it came to £42.90. I would highly recommend service was great too and nice atmosphere."

"A very cozy traditional British pub. A very charming atmosphere, generous portions and the staff was absolutely lovely. We went on one of the life music days and it was all very pleasant. I ordered the fish n chips and it was very tasty, served with mushy peas and mustard It was my birthday so my friends ordered a slice of cake as a surprise and the waitress brought it with a candle as they all sang happy birthday, a very warm and charming detail, thank you so much, I had a very special time!"

"Excellent food, and service, friends made a few changes to their burgers and I tried the chicken and bacon lasagne, we all thought the food was delicious and nothing was to much trouble, everyone was friendly. When we had desserts again we asked for custard with the pudding which wasn't on the menu, but they did it for us, and was told if we needed more custard just to ask. "Came across this rather quirky and funky coffee shop on the high street. The menu boards outside was quite extensive so we decided to have our lunch here. The décor inside was indeed quirky, but definitely needing a lot of tender loving care. Although it Initially attracted the young student clientele it still was able to offer a decent meal offering for all age groups. The food ordered was sadly very small portion sizes although saying that it was freshly cooked. The presentation was reasonable and quality was just ok. The main criticism we found was the very slow service, they need to have more staff working, 3 members of staff whom together were serving, cooking, cleaning tables, preparing food, doing drinks and working till did not give a professional approach. The toilet was rather drab looking definitely needs to be refurbished. Another issue was that it's very cold inside regardless of portable heaters sporadically placed. Would we come again, probably not unless it gets more staff and it offers bigger portion sizes and sorts out the heating."

"I visited this charming venue for work and was quite impressed. The food that emerged from the kitchen looked very appealing. Jason and the female server (I apologize for not catching her name) were both very accommodating and attentive to all the customers. The photos reveal a beautifully decorated village pub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. On certain nights of the week, they offer pizzas from a pizza oven, making it easy to dine in or take away. It seems this lovely little pub has a strong connection to the local community, as a lot of local patrons were dining there by the time I left, which is always a positive sign."

"Excellent food and welcoming staff. However, the venue was a bit of a letdown due to exposed utilities on the ceiling and a somewhat chilly atmosphere. The meals were outstanding, and the staff provided friendly service during the ordering process. They struck a nice balance, not being overly intrusive while we were eating, and they checked in with us once to ensure everything was satisfactory—unlike some places that linger too closely! Finally, when it came time to pay the bill, the server was engaging and friendly. Overall, I'd rate the food a perfect 5."
