"We made a reservation for dinner before going to the theater. The table we were seated at was in a very cramped location, next to a double door, which made it difficult for people to walk behind us once we were seated. Despite requesting to be moved to a different table, we were told that all tables were booked, even though the restaurant was not very crowded when we arrived. My husband, who is tall and has a large build, found it uncomfortable to sit at the table and it was not a relaxing experience at all. The food was alright, but we will not be dining at this restaurant again."

"Went here last night (a Friday at with my boyfriend for dinner. Been a few times before and really enjoyed it but this trip was such a let down. The food is good although not everything on the menu is as nice as the rest. Have always had the beach body burger from the veggie options but tried boozy bean burger for a change and it didn't have much flavour just loads of spice. The cheese fries are amazing though and the cocktails are good. Staff are nice enough too. What really let it down was the fact that they turned the music up at and it was so loud it felt more like a club than a burger bar. We couldn't hold a conversation, could only mess about on our phones. Doesn't fit with the type of place it is but would make more sense if they waited till food isn't being served anymore. Either that or scrap the food at the weekends and just be a loud bar with mad decor."

"Room was booked last minute as we were disappointed with our first choice of hotel. The welcome was lovely aswas the room. It was my wifes birthday and we stayed in their quad room which was huge, comfortable and warm. The bathroom was clean with a power shower. Opted for Scottish breakfast on the first morning which was very filling. Overall it's a great place to stay within walking distance from the city centre and the local pub was very cheap and inviting. Would definitely stay again."

"it'sIgetting harder to find good quality food with good service and a reasonable price so this place is a real find. First it has a great location right on a small inlet of the river with the sunset on the water ahead and views of the village and hilltops all around. The outdoor area is well heated and sheltered. Next the service very helpful staff who know their menu. Although the place was clearly very busy there was no feeling of being rushed to vacate the table and no long waits for food. Finally the menu not the largest selection, but the food offered was the best we've had in ages. The crab linguine and Thai chicken curry are highly recommended. And the desserts wow! Often UK pub desserts are a disappointment microwaved supermarket cakes, but in this case the portions are huge and the quality is amazing. The cheesecake is massive and full of flavour. We would definitely recommend this for eating. Judging by the need to book tables on weekday nights, lots of other people recommend it too."

"We had pre-booked a table for 6 people to have lunch at 2:15pm. We arrived on time and were shown to the table, which had only been set for 4 people which meant we had to pull a further 2 chairs up to the table, and had to request a wine list. We ordered a round of drinks for the table which took c. 15 minutes to arrive. We were waiting a considerable amount of time for a food menu. Eventually we called a waiter over to order some food and were told that the kitchen we no longer serving, despite having booked a table for lunch and not being warned of the kitchen closing time. The staff told us to be quick in ordering however took a further 10 minutes to come and take the order. The food eventually came and the waitress didn 't even put the food at the correct place, she merely put them on the table for us to distribute accordingly. When the bill eventually came, we politely requested the *optional service charge was removed from the bill as we did not feel that we had received adequate service to warrant a tip, to which the manager began shouting that it as shocking that we wanted to rightfully remove the tip. He went on to say that the kitchen staff had stayed over time to prepare our food. My question to the owner is this... if your chefs are unwilling to work over their hours, why are you offering a reservation close to closing time whilst your staff are incapable of processing the orders to the kitchens in the correct timescale and working hours. If we were told that the kitchen were closing soon, we would have cooperated with the staff to help them work to their time scales."

"So disappointed with our visit the other day. We have always had lovely meals in the past. To be fair the Cullen skink starter was lovely, no complaints apart from the £14.00 price(which I think is excessive) I ordered seafood linguini at £25.00 the squid and baby octopus were inedible (like a rubber toy) and there were only 5 mussels so serving one that hadn 't opened up properly is a disgrace when you advertise as a 'high end ' seafood restaurant . My fiancee had the ginger beer battered haddock, which wasn 't the best, batter was too thick and stodgy, the fish quality wasn 't the best. I did complain to the waitress and she agreed the squid and octopus were over done and asked if I would like anything else and said they wouldn 't charge me for the dish. All in all felt we very let down after a special journey there for lunch. If you advertise as a seafood restaurant and have high end prices it should be high quality and well cooked consistently Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £70–80 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Cullen Skink"

"I recently visited Chicago Rib Shack on its opening night in Twickenham, and I must say that the young staff did a fantastic job. There were no signs of opening day nerves, they managed the seating times perfectly to prevent overwhelming the kitchen. Our waitress informed us that most of the staff were new, but the cooking team had experience and demonstrated their skills in preparing delicious food. After enjoying a drink at the bar, we ordered a round of starters. Getting three starters for £14 was a great deal. Twickenham has not had many new and trendy restaurants like London, so it's refreshing to have these newer options available now."

"This place is simply too expensive for what is delivered. There’s nothing wrong with the food per se, but the prices are astronomical. We ate the leek tart, as a starter and it was £12. It was fine, but didn’t deliver the impact we were expecting for the price. It wasn’t made fresh, and the side salad was dripping in bog standard vinaigrette. Not inedible, but nothing special. I had the salt and chilli squid with ‘Asian slaw’. I was expecting flavours of coriander, lemongrass, lime, mint; all what I would consider pan-Asian flavours. When the dish arrived I could see straight away it was not to be! Instead of what I’ve described there was a fairly ordinary looking salad, swimming in a pool of (what tasted like) supermarket hoi-sin sauce. Really too much and overly sweet. The squid itself was well cooked but a very sparse portion for £16. Other dishes included lobster, at almost £60 (market price apparently) which was competent but came with bought in chips. No flavour to chips, they were semi-stale. We had higher hopes, I’m afraid. The service and atmosphere were perfectly fine, no issues there. Staff were efficient and friendly. I’m afraid for us, holidaymakers willing to spend money, this restaurant doesn’t represent good value. I enjoy eating out, but I hate feeling ripped off…and I’m sorry to say, that’s how dining at ‘The Potted Lobster’ felt. Save yourself the bother and go to the local butcher/pie shop a few doors down. They were doing a roaring trade and I can see why!"

"visited from Western Australia, I was tied to find a local caffe near me that would make me a latté with luquid cream in it. the ladies were amused, but the barista rose to the challenge, and for everyone after that visit for my week in kensington she remembered me. I was very happy with the service every time, even if only order coffee. eating service on other tables saw generous portions of delicious breakfast. I would recommend this place friends."

"We visited Bellamy's Bistro 2 weeks ago. If having a meal after 6pm there is parking on the main Street for free. We managed to get an earlier ferry across to the island and after contacting Bellamy's, staff very kindly brought the time of our table forward. Me and one friend had the carbonara and cheesy garlic bread, which was lovely and tasty and my other friend had Bourgenon which she also really enjoyed. The owners were very friendly and were talking to us about how they came to the Isle of Wight. I would definitely recommend."

"I am a local so I have eaten in this cafe before.I will however not be returning! Whilst the food is always satisfactory you first have to run the gauntlet of rude, stroppy and miserable staff. My friend and I are over sixty both retired professionals not that it matters but we are not used to being barked at and very embarrassed.I don’t think I will be visiting again, time for a boycott. They need to remember that if they have no customers they have no business."

"Blue Sky Cafe is a fantastic cafe based on Bangor High Street. The cafe is accessed through a signposted alleyway, which is tastefully decocorated in bright graffiti style art. The cafe has two floors with the ground floor also functioning as a taproom during the evenings and serves a variety of interesting drinks. Blue Sky also hosts events in the evening, ranging from live music to poetry nights. I went in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had the Buddah Bowl with a side of small Salt and Pepper Chips, both of which were incredibly delicious and generous in portion. The salad was well seasoned and fresh, and the falafel was the best I have ever had at a cafe that serves meat. I had an Iced Coffee with Oat Milk to go with my meal, which was also very good, but they do charge extra for non dairy milks. There are many vegan options on their lunch menu, and their breakfast menu also had cooked vegan options (served until 11:30), but I did not see any vegan cakes in their cakes display. The atmosphere in Blue Sky is great. The staff are welcoming, and Welsh language service is available . The upstairs floor is brightly lit up by a sky light and is full of plants and artworks for sale. The cafe also stocks many products from local vendors and has a section of drinks such as Iced Tea and Pink Lemonade made in-house. I highly recommend Blue Sky Cafe to vegans looking for freshly prepared food in a comfortable and contemporary space. Booking is highly recommended as the cafe is popular among students and locals, and information about events can be found on their social media."

"beautiful atmosphere and good food. the two of us raised themselves without a booking on a Sunday night and gave one table. each of us had a starter (tuck bein croquettes and rakete salat, which is actually a side, not a starter) and a main (burger and a bark on Sunday roast) and made very full, not in the position to finish eating. the personal was friendly and attentive. the food needed a reasonable time to not arrive too long, not surprisingly fast. 4/5 and not 5/5, because while eating was good, there is room for improvement my yorkshire pudding was too dry and carrots could be cooked better (taste could be better; there were raw in the carrots;) the meat was delicious. However, after saying that for a pub, food quality was quite large, especially in value-money conditions, we only paid over £50 overall for the meal (including 2 half pints of apple wine, but without tip.) was another point that the menu could be a bit more diverse. the pub is dog-friendly (also has a water bowl at the bar) and has an amazing real kamin that does much for the feeling from inside. overall, this pub would recommend easy to friends with the above caves."

"Great location in Whitby for fish and chips with sea views from most of the restaurant. We got there early and were seated within a few minutes though none of the window seats were free. Service was reasonably efficient if a little cold we were handed a menu as we entered and after a short delay our order was taken. Tea, bread and butter were arrived promptly but there was then a wait of about 30min for our meals. The food was good but not great and the portion of chips was downright stingy! Considering the cost of the meal which wasn't far off Magpie prices I'm afraid it really wasn't in the same league. So all in all okay fish and chips in a clean well located restaurant but not worth the money."

"Decided to give this place a try having been to Prezzo a number of times over the years and was very pleasantly surprised the restaurant itself was larger than I'd expected and was nicely decorated, and the food was excellent and enjoyed by the...whole family. We had a range of different dishes pizza, pasta, risotto and a vegan burger (with real cheese) and all were absolutely delicious. The pasta and risotto portions were also good certainly bigger than the meagre portions we've been given in some other restaurants. The only thing I would just mention is that some of the prices are slightly on the high side £12.95 (plus 10% tip) for a burger (which did come with very nice fries) did seem slightly steep. Nonetheless, we're all looking forward to our next visit."

""I had a great experience at this restaurant with their delicious American dishes. I ordered the diner chicken burger, fries, cheeseburger, and a salad with a dressing that was a mix of ranch and something else. Everything was fantastic.""
